🎶Who Is She?🎶 - Future! TordMatt

Requested by: AdaraDoodles

I've been a bit lazy with requests lately, but I finally encouraged myself to do them! Also "she" is the same as "he" now, lmao.

Also, I think I do song oneshots differently than everyone else...? I think? I dunno.

3rd Person POV:

Oh, who is she?

After Matt had lived in the Red Army's base for years, he started to forget things. He forgot Edd and Tom, who weren't allowed communicate with him. The Red Leader, Tord, was one that he had a hard time remembering. He remembered one thing, and one thing only about Tord. To never trust him.

A misty memory...

Matt remembered something whenever he saw Tord. Because he was in the Red Army's base, he saw Tord everyday. He'd see him the way he used to be, and he'd see a giant robot of some sort, and he'd think back to how much Tord and one of his friends hated each other.

It made him want to learn who Tord really was on the inside, not his tough exterior. 'What if he's actually a good person, but very misunderstood?' Was a common thought that came to Matt's mind. He'd usually shrug it off, but today it just wouldn't go away.

A haunting face...

To Matt, Tord was a really scary guy. Half of his face was burned, and he had an eyepatch covering the eye of that half. He always wore a uniform, sometimes wearing a black helmet with a yellow spike on the top. He'd walk through the halls of the base with blood all over himself while smoking a cigar as if it were normal.

He was always... flirtatious, but he could be angered easily. Once, Matt heard him laugh. It wasn't a cute laugh, it was maniacal. What was Tord laughing at? A dead 'Resistance' soldier on the floor of the base. It gave Matt chills every time he thought about it.

Is she a lost embrace?

Matt felt bothered when he was around Tord, like he was forgetting something really important. He didn't remember who Tord was to him, if they were ever friends, but he did know that Tord was currently his leader. 'Why can't I remember...?' He'd think to himself, probably working in Tord's office. He'd sort papers or files, and he'd sign letters and peace treaties for Tord, who hadn't been conquering many places lately.

"What happened to world domination, Red Leader?"

"I'm too old for that bullshit."

Yes, he had very deep and meaningful conversations with Tord. Well, no, but they'd be the highlight of his day.

Am I in love with just a theme?

Matt fought against any positive feelings for Tord. After all, he had odd memories of the norwegian male. Or... maybe he just remembered those from dreams and nightmares. Lucid dreams, maybe?

Either way, he couldn't trust Tord. He wouldn't trust Tord. Then again, he'd blush when Tord would joke around or chat with him. It felt like he couldn't stay away from the other for long periods of time. If he was away, he'd feel... anxious? He wasn't sure, he just knew that it felt terrible.

Or, is Ayesha just a dream?

On occasion, he couldn't figure out what a the difference between a memory and a dream was. He'd look in the mirror and think it was a nightmare when he saw his metal chin and robotic eye. He'd always think back to how he used to look and feel. Handsome, charming, loving, playful, friendly. It was like he was a completely different person. It pained him, but he would never tell anyone.

He didn't have many friends within the base. Paul and Patryk were Tord's friends, but they'd try to talk to him and be friends with him. It seemed like Tord was Matt's only friend, but Matt still disliked him for an unknown reason. So, Matt learned how to bottle his emotions up. If he felt bad enough, he'd just hide away in his assigned room.

A mystery.

Eventually, Matt just had to find out who Tord was. He was determined, and he marched straight to Tord's office. Tord was strangely easygoing about the situation, which calmed Matt's nerves.

"Red Leader..."

"Hmm?"

"Who are you?"

"...I'm not sure."

That sent Matt back to his assigned room. If Tord didn't know who he was, how would Matt possibly ever remember him? Was Tord fully replaced by the Red Leader at this point? 'I was... too late...?' Matt laid on his bed, thinking. He tried as hard as he could to remember who Tord was. He fell off of his bed when he finally remembered something about the real Red Leader, or... somewhat real.

- FLAAAASHBAAAACK -

"Ah, just like old times! I-I've missed this..." Tord said, holding a cigar. Matt wrapped his arm around Tord's shoulders as Tord spoke, smiling. Tom said something, but Matt was too focused on Tord at the moment.

"Yeah! It's great having you here, Todd." Matt replied, making Tord frown. "Tord." The communist corrected. "You're way more fun than Tim!" Matt added, pointing at Tom. "Tom." The alcoholic responded. "Well, don't worry Matt." Tord said. Tord got his name right, but Matt still corrected him. "Matt!"

- End of flashback -

Matt came back onto the bed and thought about it. Was Tord acting at that point in time, or was he being himself? Matt knew that he was being truthful, liking Tord's company. Now, Tord just seemed weird and... hot... but still someone that Matt shouldn't trust. Matt's face burned, and he shook his head.

'I can't fall in love with a murderer. I won't fall in love with a murderer. I have higher standards than that.'

(I didn't use many lyrics on this one. It was pretty tough :p)
