Hide And Seek - Red Leader! Tord X Matt

3rd Person POV:

Matt was laying on his purple couch, watching Spongebob on the tele. He looked up, his gaze falling on an old picture that made him frown. Tord and Matt were side-hugging, both of them looking at the camera as the photo was taken.

'Why did I even hang that picture up?' Matt looked back at the tele, but he wasn't able to focus anymore. 'I put it up... because... I miss him...' He leaped off the couch and turned the tele off. 'I need to do something to get my mind off of him. He's gone... long gone...' Matt grabbed his keys and left his apartment, locking the door behind him. He went down the elevator and exited the main building.

'Where should I go?' Matt shrugged to himself and walked down the sidewalk, not knowing where he was going. While walking, he got his phone out and texted Edd and Tom.

Matt: I'm heading out. Cya.

Matt looked up from his phone, not seeing anyone in front of him. He'd left the sidewalk and was now walking on grass. His phone buzzed, so he looked back down.

Edd: K! Get some Cola while you're out!

Matt: K fam.

Matt checked the time, noticing that he'd been walking for 20 minutes now. He looked up to see that he was in a grassy field of some sort. 'Meh, I'll use Google Maps to get home. Doesn't matter. Hahah, MATTer.' He looked down at his phone and scrolled through social media for a while. His phone buzzed again.

Tom: Yeet.

Matt: Or get beat.

Tom: Hahah yas queen

Matt: R u drunk?

Tom: Always, my child

Matt: I'm your child now?

Tom: Yeah, Edd's your mum.

Matt: That makes sense, actually. Thanks dad.

Tom: Hahah

Tom: I'm your daddy

Matt: K, I'm gonna go now. Bye.

Tom: Bye bitch

Matt quietly laughed to himself and shoved his phone into his pocket. Unexpectedly, he ran face-first into a tree. "Wasn't I just in a grassy field?" Matt asked himself. He looked around, seeing a flash of blue. He backed up onto the tree and paused when he heard a gun click.

"Stay still or get shot. Fucker." Matt heard. He shrank back and held his hands up, shaking a bit. "I'm too pretty to die!" He said before getting gagged. His consciousness faded away and everything went dark.

- Time Skip (lol) -

Matt awoke to a man with large eyebrows towering over him. "Hey. Get up. Hey." Matt sat up, nearly head-butting the stranger. "Hello there! Where am I?" Matt asked. The stranger laughed loudly, biting down on a bent cigarette. "Don't play dumb. The Red Leader will be here any second now." "Red Leader... who? Sounds like an Assassin's Creed game." The man laughed and shook his head. "What a great actor." The man replied, sarcasm lacing his voice. "I'm so confused."

The man didn't respond this time, he just left the room and shut the door behind him. Matt's blue orbs moved quickly, scanning the room. White floor, red walls, red ceiling. 'What an odd place.' There was some sort of red symbol that was spray painted onto the wall, but Matt couldn't tell what it meant. Matt heard a creak and snapped his head toward the door.

There stood someone he thought he'd never see again, and it made him literally jump out of his seat. He ran over to the other, wrapping his arms around him. "Tord! You're alive!" Matt squealed and hugged him tighter, picking him up from the floor. "We can watch 'Insane Zombie Pirates from Hell 5' if you want! I think they recently came out with a sixth!" Matt added, putting Tord back down.

Tord pushed Matt away, not looking very happy. He shut the door behind himself and adjusted his eyepatch. Now, Matt observed him further. Tord's face was halfway bloody, he had a robotic arm on the same side of his body, and an eyepatch. He was also wearing a long blue navy coat with some red underneath, similar to the strange guy from earlier. Tord scoffed and brushed himself off.

"What the hell are you doing here?" "I-I was just going for a walk... what... happened to you?" "You would know if you used your brain more often. Why are you here? Are you spying on us? Are you gonna call the police?" Tord reached into his pocket, and Matt knew that it wasn't a good sign. He raised his hands up and backed away.

"Woah, calm down. I'm just here, and I'm not sure how. I was just on a walk to clear my head. I have no weapons, unless my phone counts." Tord reached his robotic hand towards Matt. "Hand it over. Now." Matt checked his pockets and pulled his phone out. He gently placed it on Tord's hand, feeling it as Tord pulled his hand away. Tord crushed the phone in his robotic hand, surprising Matt.

"M-my phone! I don't know h-how to get home!" "Who said you were going home? You've seen too much for that." Tord turned away and released the shards of Matt's phone, letting them drop onto the ground. "I'll be back soon. Don't cause any trouble, you hear? I'll have my finest soldiers watch over you and suit you up. I hope you know how to use a gun." "A g-gun?"

Tord left the room and slammed the door behind himself. "Paul, Patryk, get him ready." "Which room will he stay in, Red Leader?" "I don't fuckin' know, a room next to mine." "Yes, sir." The two filed into the room and Tord got a cigar out of his pocket. He cut the edge and used his red lighter, successfully lighting it. He placed it into his mouth and took a puff.

'Well, this is just great. How can this week get any worse?' He took the cigar out of his mouth between his pointer finger and middle finger, blowing the smoke out. He put it back in his mouth and walked away, the clicking of his combat boots making his soldiers aware of his presence. The cold look on his face as he passed by. The sight of blood that happened to get onto his navy coat that he never bothered to wash off. Or, maybe, the smell of his cigars that lingered in the air of the silent halls.

He soon got to his room, entering. As soon as he entered, his small chihuahua perked up. "Hiya, Skip." The chihuahua stood up onto it's feet and Tord picked it up. "How's my tough boy?" The chihuahua sniffed Tord's coat, reminding Tord of Matt's hug. How excited Matt seemed to see him. He scoffed at his thoughts.

'I won't let that get to me. He was never my friend.' Tord set Skip down onto his bed and sat down on the red blanket that draped over the mattress. 'Heh. MATTress. Wait, what am I thinking?' Tord sighed and leaned back, harshly hitting his head on the wall. He took another puff of his cigar and blew it out. 'Dumb fuckboy. Why did he have to come back into my life...?'

Tord hit his head on the wall again, trying to make his mind shut up. It only made him a bit dizzy and the wall now had a dent in it. He stood up and walked over to the other side of the room, raising his fists. With his normal arm, he punched a hole through the wall to calm himself. He put his hands on his head and dug his fingernails into his hair. 'Stupid bastard.'

Meanwhile, Matt was in his new room. The mattress had a purple blanket on it, making him smile. 'Maybe he thought about me before this happened?' He remembered how angry Tord seemed after he hugged him. '...Not in a good way.' He sat down onto his bed, hearing noises through the wall. 'Man, these walls are really thin.' He heard a yell and glass breaking, followed by more glass breaking.

'What's going on?' He didn't notice Patryk, who opened the door to his room. "Sorry about the noise. Red Leader isn't very happy right now." "Why do you guys keep calling Tord this 'Red Leader' name?" Patryk tilted his head, shutting the door behind himself. "How do you know about that?" "Tord's my best friend!" "But... what...?" Patryk put a hand on his chin and looked down, thinking.

"If Tord didn't smash my phone, I could've proved it. I had a lot of pictures of him on there." Matt blushed and looked away, rubbing his arm. "Kid, what's your name?" "I'm Matt. Who're you?" "My name is Patryk. I believe you." Matt smiled and looked at Patryk. "Why... why does..." Matt's smile fell as he continued speaking, "Why does Tord h-hate me?"

Patryk was caught off-guard by the question, and he nervously tapped his shoe on the ground. "Sorry, I wouldn't know. Does that make you... sad?" Matt nodded. "Well, not you. I just... I've missed him... y'know, I haven't seen him for so long. I thought he was... d-dead..." Patryk was interested to learn more about his leader, so he went over to Matt and sat down on the bed next to him.

"What do you mean?" "I mean, he got into this huge robot and Tom shot it with a harpoon! A-and then, it blew up! I thought he was burned to a crisp!" "Ohhh, I know why he hates you." Matt's eyes were lined with tears. "Oh, I hope I didn't do anything wrong! I never wanted him to die!" "Dude, did you see how half of his face is, like, burned off?" "...Yeah?" "That explosion made him that way. His arm had to be amputated, and he became blind in one of his eyes."

Matt was horrified. He looked down at his hands, seeing that they were shaking a small bit. He made them into fists to get them to stop shaking. "R-really...? Please, tell me you're joking." Patryk patted Matt's back, not knowing what to say. "I'm sorry, Matt." Matt ran his hands through his hair, trying not to let the tears fall.

'We nearly killed him! No wonder why he hates me! How can I possibly make this better?!' Matt gazed at Patryk, who was staring at the floor. Avoiding Matt's gaze. "Is there any way that... I could... see him? I need to talk to him... m-maybe he'll..." Matt's gaze dropped to the floor and Patryk patted his back again. Matt took a deep breath and wiped his eyes, getting rid of the tears. "I mean... you can still try...?" Patryk suggested. Matt sighed and nodded.

"That's all I can do. We both made some mistakes. I just hope that he understands... like... he killed our neighbor. He blew our house up. He tried to kill us!" Matt crossed his arms. "He... hit me..." Patryk wanted to find a way to leave, then again, he was learning so much about his leader. He didn't know that someone ACTUALLY cared for his leader and... maybe had deeper feelings for him? "I'm sure you can talk to him. Just... be careful. He doesn't take things... lightly. He can be very defensive."

Patryk stood up, walking to the door. "If you need him, knock on the door to his office. Not now, though. He's still a bit... shocked to see you." Matt understood. Patryk left the room, shutting the door behind himself. Matt laid down onto his bed, thinking of a plan. 'Can I seriously fix this?'

- Time Skip (again lmao) -

Matt had given Tord hours of alone time, staying in his room. He'd already eaten some lunch that Paul gave him, and Paul told him something before he left. "Red Leader is in a good mood. It's a great time to... mend the broken. He's in the shooting range." Matt pondered it to himself. 'Tord is broken, or our friendship is broken...? Paul is weird.' He exited his room and strolled through the halls.

'Where is the shooting range, anyway?' Matt soon found a door with a window on it. He looked through it to see Tord, who was smoking a cigar while shooting at targets with a rifle. 'Don't I need headphones?' He shrugged to himself and entered, finding that Tord was the only one there. Tord stopped shooting, hearing footsteps approaching. He lifted the gun to point it at the air and turned around, flinching when he saw Matt.

"H-hello...?" Matt greeted, waving. Tord groaned and set his gun down on the floor, looked to his side and spat his cigar out, looking back up at Matt afterward. "Hei." The two went silent for a short while, taking each other's appearances in. "Look... Tord... I-I'm sorry... I know that doesn't fix anything..." Matt started, awkwardly scratching the back of his neck. Tord's scowl softened down to a neutral look as he listened, staying silent.

"I just- we thought you were... kinda... dead... I'm really grateful to see that you're alright. By the way, your eyepatch looks SO cool on you, like, wow!" Tord forced himself to not smile, keeping a cold yet neutral look on his face. "Matt, it's okay. I did some bad shit too during... the accident..." Tord tapped his boot on the ground to stay calm. 'Must be a contagious habit around here.' Matt thought to himself.

"Matt, I'm the one who's sorry..." Emotions flashed across Tord's facial features, only for a moment. Matt walked over to Tord and spread his arms out. "Need comforting?" Matt asked, a small smile on his face. Tord was shocked. "A-after all I've put you through?" Matt giggled and wrapped his arms around the shorter male, secretly giving him a peck on his head. Tord hesitated, but soon returned the hug.

"Aww, you're so shy now!" "N-no! As if! I'm the leader of an army!" Matt gasped and pulled away from the hug. "So that's why they keep calling you that 'Red Leader' thing! You've always been so cool!" Tord's cheeks reddened a small bit. He reached for Matt's arms, but he brought them to his navy coat's pockets instead. "I knew it! You are shy! You want another hug!" Matt pulled Tord close and squeezed him, picking him up off of the ground again.

"Alright- erm- too tight-" Matt placed Tord down and smiled. "So, I'm staying in this place now?" "Well... yeah. I still can't let you go..." Matt nodded and paused. "Wait. Say that again." "Uh... I still can't let you go?" Matt squealed loudly, the whole base could probably hear it. "Your accent! It's thicker!" Tord blushed and hid his face in his hands.

"Aww! You're still shy! Oh my gosh! You are SO cute!" "M-Matt..." A random soldier opened the door, but gently closed it when he/she spotted the pair. Matt messed Tord's hair up and yawned. "Let's go to my room! I've gotta catch you up!" Tord didn't really have a choice, mostly because Matt took his hand and ran off to his new room. The two males entered and saw Patryk inside.

"Oh! It worked out?" Matt lifted his hand, the one that was holding Tord's and wiggled his eyebrows. Tord pulled his hand out of Matt's grasp and shook his head. "Th-that... you didn't see that." Tord told Patryk. Patryk stifled a laugh and left the room. Matt and Tord sat on Matt's bed, silent at first.

Soon enough, they were having a friendly conversation. "...And he went, 'Oh no!'" Matt said before making an explosion noise. "Really? Heh. I wish I could've seen that." Tord responded. Matt laid down onto the bed, lazily kicking his shoes off. "Are you gonna sleep?" Matt grabbed Tord's arms and hugged him close. "Not without you, buddy!" Tord tried to hide his blush by averting his gaze.

"T-this sounds really gay, Matt. You're basically saying that you won't sleep here unless I sleep with you..." Many... interesting thoughts came into Tord's mind. He shook his head to get rid of them, but the 'Matt on Matt Action' wasn't planning on leaving his head anytime soon. "I still love how shy you are!" Tord smiled and rolled his eyes.

"Fine, fine. Just let me untie my boots." Matt reluctantly let go of Tord and he took his boots off. Once he was finished, he took his navy coat and red hoodie off and tossed it away, leaving him in a red tank top. Matt wrapped his arms around Tord and pulled him down onto the bed next to him. Tord nuzzled his face into Matt's chest area and yawned. Matt huffed and squinted his eyes.

"I forgot to turn the light off..." Matt mumbled. Tord's hand lazily grabbed around on the bed until he found his phone. He looked away from Matt for a moment to type something in. "What're you doing?" "Paul can get it." Tord threw his phone onto his stuff and snuggled up to Matt again. Matt's cheeks turned pink as he pecked Tord's head again. The two drifted off, falling asleep in each other's warmth.

After a long while, Paul and Patryk came into the room. Patryk took a few pictures of the sleeping boys before turning the light off. "So, what did you hear through the cup?" Paul snickered and peeked at the boys. "At first, they were just talking about random stuff. Later, this 'Matt' kid made Red Leader so flustered! It was fucking hilarious!"

Tord grumbled in his sleep, a bit disturbed by Paul and Patryk's chatting. Patryk looked at Paul. "Tell me more outside. Wow, our leader likes guys." Paul smirked. "Just like YOU!" "Sh-shut the hell up."
