3rd Person POV:
Tord was in his room, scrolling through some hentai on his phone. He didn't exactly know why he was reading it at the moment, but he assumed that it was because everybody else in the house was still asleep. He sighed, knowing that it would be a while until they woke up. 'Well, what else can I do right about now?' Tord thought to himself, humming slightly as he pondered who would be awake at the moment. '...Maybe Matilda's awake?' He exited from the hentai, going to his messages. He'd become friends with Matilda recently, when the klutzy girl dropped a hairbrush into her 'Magic Mirror', as she called it.
- Blast to the past (lmao a flashback) -
The boys were all sitting on the couch, the Magic Mirror hanging on a nearby wall. When Matilda dropped her brush, she decided to go after it, causing her to fall into the genderbent version of her world. Luckily, she landed on her feet, picking the brush up as the guys looked over at her. "Oh, hey Matilda!" Matt greeted, making Matilda glance over at him. "Hey Matt! And... uh..." She tried to remember the boys' names, but realized that she'd never seen the red hooded male before. "Tom, Edd, and... who's that?" Matilda asked, pointing at Tord. The guys looked over at Tord, who seemed stunned.
"Oh! We didn't tell Tord about the girl versions of us! And, we've never met the girl version of him." Edd explained, to both himself and the pair. "Oh! Well, uhm, it's nice to meet you Tord!" Matilda said, walking over to the devil-horned male with an outstretched arm. Tord sat up straight, shaking her hand. "U-uh yeah, it's nice to meet you too." He replied, his accent getting a bit thicker from how nervous he felt. He wasn't sure why she was making him so nervous, but he just decided that it was because it was very unexpected.
The two stopped shaking hands, both of them just waiting for the other to say something, possibly to break the ice. Tom got uncomfortable and left the room, leaving Matt and Edd by Tord's side. Nevermind, Edd followed after Tom. So, Tord, Matilda, and Matt were remaining. Matt tried to focus on his mirror, facing away from the two. At this moment, Tord finally got the courage to speak up. "So... how've you been doing lately?" Matilda smiled a small bit. "Good! I've just been shopping a lot, visiting a park I really like, and things like that." Tord nodded. "That's cool. Can I see it sometime?" Matilda's face turned a bit pink. "Uh, sure! When do you wanna do that?" She questioned, starting to fiddle with her hair a bit. "I don't know, but sometime soon?" Tord thought about it for a short bit.
"How about we give each other our phone numbers so that we can decide on it later? Because, you're probably busy right now, or something." Tord suggested, reaching into his hoodie pocket for his phone. "Oh! S-sure." Matilda stuttered, getting her own phone out too. They traded numbers, texting each other to make sure they had the right number. "So... uh, I'm gonna go now. Where's the Magic Mirror again?" Matilda said, Matt pointing at the mirror hanging lowly on a nearby wall. "Oh, okay. Well, thank you! I'll see you soon, I guess." Matilda said, going through the mirror.
- End of flashback -
Tord hesitated greatly, seeing that their last messages to each other was from about a month ago. He read them over a few times, making him even more nervous to chat with her again.
"Hey! So, when do you wanna hangout?" Matilda had sent.
"I've been busy lately, but maybe sometime next week?" Tord had replied.
"Oh, okay. Well, message me whenever you're free!" Matilda sent back.
"Sure thing!" Tord had responded.
Tord continued reading those messages for a moment, cringing at himself for not taking the opportunity sooner. And now, he was just bored when he remembered the girl's existence. After a while of re-reading the messages, he took a deep breath and started typing a new one.
"Hey, how's it-"
Tord deleted that before he sent it.
"Hey, how are you-"
Tord deleted that one too, biting his lip. He didn't want to look like an idiot after not saying a thing for so long.
"Hey, I'm free now, wanna hangout?"
His hand shook slightly as it hovered over the "send" button. 'Here goes nothing-' Tord thought to himself, sending the text message. Then, he gasped, spotting a spelling mistake. 'Damnit, it's supposed to be "hang out", not "hangout"!' He groaned from frustration, pulling at his hair. 'I'm gonna look like such a dumbass-' Then, his phone chimed. He looked at it, finding that Matilda had replied.
"Of course! Wanna go to the park I told you about?"
Tord released a breath that he didn't know he'd been holding. He hoped that Matilda didn't notice the spelling mistake in his message.
"Sure! I'll be through the mirror in a few minutes, let me just get ready first."
Tord sent the message, then he got up and changed his clothes. He decided to wear something a bit more formal, putting on a red shirt and his normal black jeans. Then, he started putting his shoes on, his phone chiming as he did that.
"Okay! I'll meet you there!"
Tord nodded to the message, tying his shoe laces. Then, he picked his phone up, shoving it into one of his jean's front pockets. He left his room, going into the living-room. He loitered by the mirror for a short while, biting his lip again. He took a breath, then went through it. Now on the other side, Tord exited the mirror and looked around. The girls' house looked just like the guys' house, except that the pictures hanging on the walls were of the girls. Plus, he'd see hairbrushes and hairbands laying around on countertops as he passed by, looking around for Matilda. Then, the ginger walked over to him, smiling.
"Heya, Tord, was it?" Matilda greeted, Tord turning to face her. He noticed that it looked like she fixed her hair up, and she was wearing a white shirt with purple jeans. Tord didn't want to admit it, but he found her quite cute. And, she was a bit taller than him. "Yeah, and your name is Matilda?" Tord replied, looking back at Matilda after getting a nice look at the freckles that were scattered all over the girl's face, shoulders, and arms. "Yep! It's great to see you again. You must've been really busy, huh?" Tord sweat-dropped, even though it was true. He had been working in his lab a lot lately, which he was glad that nobody in the house knew about. Tord nodded both to himself and to answer the question.
"Yeah, just making stuff, y'know?" Tord replied. Matilda hummed, seeming curious. "Oh! Like, that sofa thing that comes from a box, just like Tori showed us? That kind of thing?" Matilda asked, Tord's eyebrows raising. "That sounds about right, except that I make more things than that." Tord realized that he sounded like he was boasting, so he changed the subject to avoid looking like a douchebag. "Who's Tori, by the way?" He questioned. "Oh! I think that Tori's the girl version of you, since you both are both pretty similar. She's asleep right now, but I can introduce you to her once she wakes up!" Matilda explained, Tord shrugging. "Sure, that sounds like fun." The pair went quiet for a moment, wondering what to say next. Soon, Matilda spoke up.
"Well, should we get going to the park? It's really nice." Tord perked up. "Yeah, okay." Matilda started heading to the front door, Tord following after her. Though, after they left the house, he waited as she locked the door. Then, they were walking alongside each other. Tord looked over at Matilda while they walked, finding that Matilda had her ocean blue orbs fixated on the stars in the night sky. He averted his gaze, looking at the glimmering stars as well. "S-so... you were saying earlier that you liked making stuff other than the sofa thing. What stuff were you referring to?" Matilda queried suddenly, causing Tord to jump slightly and look over at her. Matilda covered her mouth, starting to giggle. Tord laughed with her for a short while, then he answered her question.
"Well, lots of different kinds of things. I-I'm not trying to brag, by the way. I usually make robotic things, sometimes working with chemicals, and I often make weaponry." Tord responded, Matilda's eyes lighting up. "Tord, that's so cool! You gotta show me some of those sometime!" Tord blushed and looked away to hide it. "Th-thanks, and sure. It's not that cool-" "Are you kidding?! That's really awesome! Where did you learn how to work with that kind of stuff?" Tord's blush became a bit darker, not used to anyone reacting that way towards his gadgets and such. "I'm self taught, it's not that hard to do-" "Can you teach me? That sounds like so much fun! And, you're self taught? You and Tori must be geniuses or something, wow..." Tord chuckled, looking over at the taller female.
"Sure, I can teach you. But, you can't tell anybody about it, okay?" Tord decided. Matilda quirked a brow. "Why can't I tell anybody about it?" "Well, I'm guessing that the others won't take it very well. Y'know, because they don't know much about that kind of thing, it would be really odd to them." Matilda nodded, understanding. Though, Tord just didn't want the guys and girls to tease them about it. Plus, by bringing Matilda to the lab, she could potentially blow his cover as the Red Army leader. He'd have to make sure she didn't know anything about that. After a while more of walking, they reached Matilda's favorite park. It was surrounded by a few trees, and a sidewalk going around the park. The park itself had a few benches, and a lot of playground equipment.
Matilda grinned, grabbing onto Tord's wrist and running towards the park. Tord's eyes widened as his cheeks flushed, but he ran after Matilda anyway. "Woah, slow down!" Matilda laughed. "No way, slowpoke!" When they reached the equipment, Matilda released Tord's wrist and grabbed onto some monkey bars. "C'mon, Tord!" Matilda called out to the male, who cocked a brow. "Isn't this stuff for kids?" He asked, Matilda rolling her eyes. "So what?" Tord hummed.
"Alright, you've convinced me." He replied, climbing a rope ladder to get into a little shack of sorts. Matilda followed him into the shack, which was dimly lit by a nearby streetlight. Matilda's legs hung by the entrance of the small shack, Tord sitting down by a small window carved into the side. Matilda leaned her side on the doorframe to the shack, kicking her legs as she looked at the trees and back at the stars. Tord chuckled. "Are you tired already?" The male teased, Matilda looking over at him. "No! I'm just calming down for a minute, then I'll go to the swing sets or the slides." Matilda replied, bringing her gaze back to the sky.
After a short silence, Tord looked over at Matilda again. "Are you into astronomy or something?" Matilda looked over at him. "Well, I just think that stars are really pretty, y'know? I'm really curious about them, and yeah, it would be cool to learn about them." Tord hummed and nodded. "Would you like to go to the library with me sometime? I go there often, so maybe you could get a book about astronomy while I get a book for my studies." Tord suggested, Matilda already getting excited. "That sounds like a lot of fun! Sure!"
(Ooh imma end this one hererere. I know, it's a weird spot to end it, buttt my brain is starting to hurt XD.)
