Against the rules - Prince! Tord X Prince! Jon
An idea I got.
=========================
3rd Person POV:
Princes were only supposed to fall for princesses. Jon, a more fragile and emotional prince, fell for another prince. The two families were staying together to discuss the peace of their kingdoms. While they were there, a tough and cold prince by the name of Tord caught Jon's eyes. It happened during dinner. Jon couldn't stop glancing at the devil-horned male, and he found that Tord was watching him too.
He ate quickly and dismissed himself, running off to his room. Not too soon after that, Tord finished his food and followed the shorter boy. Jon closed the door and sat on his bed, hugging a pillow. He was too scared to meet the prince, but he knew he'd have to if he was going to be polite.
Tord knocked on his bedroom door, standing tall and still. Jon put the pillow down and hopped off of his bed, going to answer the door. When he opened it, he jumped when he saw that it was Tord that was standing there.
"O-oh, hello!" Jon greeted. Tord's face was blank, but he felt so much for the boy. "Hey. Uhm, wanna hangout?" Tord asked. Jon blushed a bit, and Tord noticed. "Sure! Where to?" Tord's face turned a bit red, and he averted his gaze. "How about the gardens?" Tord suggested. "Yeah, s-sounds fun!" Jon agreed.
The pair left Jon's room and made their way to the palace's garden. Jon was happy that Tord chose to go there, because it gave him an excuse to hold his hand and drag him around. Tord's hand was rough and slightly bruised, and Jon's hand was soft and warm. Tord couldn't stop blushing, and he could care less if a maid or his father saw him like this.
"And here, we have different kinds of roses! Neat, right?" Tord nodded, staying silent. Jon smiled at him, making his heart melt. "Jon..." Jon stopped walking and turned to look at Tord, still holding his hand. "Yeah?" "...You're one of a kind." Jon blushed and giggled. "What's that supposed to mean?" Tord glanced down at the hand that Jon was holding, then back up at Jon.
"...Let's chat in your room. Could we have some tea?" "Sure! Let's go!" Jon rushed through the palace, pulling Tord along with him. Tord stumbled every now and then from Jon's speed, and they soon got to the castle's kitchen.
A maid saw them, and the two acted very polite. Unlike their parents, they're kind to maids, butlers, and peasants. They got their tea and held the cups on small plates. The two returned to Jon's room, where they sat on Jon's bed and sipped their tea.
"So, how's your parents?" Jon asked. "D-delightful. Yours?" It was obvious that Tord was lying, but Jon let it go. "They're... alright. They tend to judge me a lot." "How so?" The two both sipped their tea before continuing their conversation. "Oh, y'know, I'm not very strong." Jon said, sheepishly looking away. He wasn't very proud of that. Tord finished his tea and set the plate and cup on the floor.
"Jon, you don't have to be rough and tough. That's a load of bullshit." Jon was surprised that Tord cursed, but he was right. "Yeah... do your parents care?" "Well... that's why I'm sorta strong, I guess. They train me and make me work with our kingdom's military. It's annoying, if I'm going to be completely honest." Tord admitted.
Jon finished his tea and set the dishes down where Tord had left his. "Man, sorry about that." Tord shrugged his shoulders. "It's fine."
The two went silent, observing each other. One of Jon's hands were on the bed, and Tord brought his hand onto it and held it. The two were entranced by each other, and they came so close. Before their lips could touch, there was a knock on Jon's bedroom door. The boys jumped away from each other, their faces red.
"Y-y-yes?" Jon stammered, glancing at Tord before looking back at the door. Jon's father opened the door and saw that they were just hanging out.
"Ah, well, I came to inform Tord about something." Jon's father looked at Tord. "Your parents and my wife and I still need more time to talk. In other words, you're spending the night here." Jon's father continued. "...Okay, sir." Tord said quietly, trying not to look at Jon. "Yeah, my deepest apologies. You'll be spending the night here in Jon's room." Jon's father said. Tord and Jon both sweat-dropped, and Tord nodded. "Understood. Thank you."
Jon's father simply nodded and shut the door. Tord looked back at Jon, red-faced. Jon was blushing too, and he wasn't sure about what he could say. "...Uhm..." Tord went to say something, but stopped himself. "Hmm?" Jon said, asking for him to continue. "J-Jon... uhm... I..." Tord stuttered out, not sure what to do.
Jon decided that he'd have to make the first move. He pecked Tord's cheek and stood up from the bed, putting his hands on his hips. Tord held his cheek, blushing furiously. "Alright, let's remake the bed. We kinda... messed it up a bit." The bed seemed fine, but Tord joined Jon in straightening it.
"Wait... if I'm staying here..." "Yeah, you'll most likely sleep... in the... b-bed..." The two boys internally cursed and sat down on the bed again. "...Wanna go by the balcony?" Jon suggested. Tord nodded and stood up. Jon took his hand and pulled him as he left his room, walked up a flight of stairs, and soon got out onto a balcony. It overlooked Jon's entire kingdom, and it was getting dark out.
"Ooh, the sun's setting!" Jon said, still holding Tord's hand as he looked around. Tord just watched the boy, squeezing onto his hand for a moment. Jon squeezed back and looked at him. "Jon... uhm... about e-earlier..." "...Yeah?" Tord looked around to make sure that nobody was around to watch them. The door to the balcony was shut, and their parents seemed to be chatting downstairs.
Tord turned back to Jon and placed a hand on Jon's cheek. Tord's other hand wrapped around the boy, pulling him closer. Jon wrapped his arms around Tord's neck, watching him confusedly. Tord leaned in and kissed Jon, both of their faces reddening. Jon was frightened for a moment, but soon kissed back and tilted his head. The two boys stood there, basically making out as the sun dipped under the horizon.
Soon enough, Tord pulled away. Jon was grinning, and the boys laughed. They sat down on the balcony, Jon sitting in Tord's lap.
"Y'know how I talked nicely about my parents earlier?" Tord said, Jon nodding. "Well, they actually suck. I just didn't trust you yet... but... now..." "It's fine, Tord. My parents suck too." The boys shared another laugh. "So... are we... u-uhm...?" Tord asked, too shy to say it. Jon snuggled up to Tord, nuzzling his face into the crook of Tord's neck. "I'd love to! Only if you want to, though." Tord smiled, hugging the shorter boy closer.
"That sounds nice. Won't we have to keep it a secret from our parents?" Tord asked. Jon hummed. "...Yeah. Princes aren't usually allowed to be with other princes. If they try to pair me up with a princess, I'll just decline. I promise." Jon moved his head to face Tord. "Me too, Jonnie. I'll never date anyone that isn't you." Jon beamed at him, blushing.
"Aww, you're so sweet." "You're sweeter, Jonnie." "Tordski." The two kissed again, but separated quicker this time. "I love you." "I love you too, Tordski."
- Timeskip (a month or so) -
The boys had been hanging out frequently, their parents getting along well. Everything was fine... until... "Jon, I'd like you to meet someone!" Jon's mother said. Tord was staying the night again, so he was there. He was eavesdropping on what was going on. A princess, some girl with blonde hair, stepped into the room. Her dress was large and she walked over to the poor boy.
"This is Claire! We were planning on you two... y'know... getting together." "What?!" Jon was completely against this. He didn't know that it would happen so soon. Tord gritted his teeth, but stayed silent. "Uh... hello, Jon." Claire greeted. "...H-hi." The pair went silent, and Jon's mother left them alone. "So... do you wanna-" "Well, it was nice meeting you Claire. I've gotta go." "O-oh! Uh... okay..."
Jon turned and bolted to his room, passing Tord on the way. He didn't see Tord, but Tord definitely saw him. Tord cursed and ran after Jon, hoping that he was alright. Jon went into his room and slammed the door behind him, jumping onto his bed. Tord knocked on the door, but ended up entering by himself. He shut and locked the door behind him after entering, seeing Jon on his bed. Jon was sobbing, and it broke Tord's heart.
"...Jonnie?" Jon jumped, wiping his tears away. "Y-you heard them, those-those..." Jon's sobbing got harsher, and Tord came over to him. Tord sat on the bed next to him and hugged the poor boy, a saddened look on his face.
"I'm so sorry, Jonnie." "It's n-not your f-fault..."
Tord put his hands onto Jon's head and wiped the tears away with his thumbs. Jon leaned into Tord's touch, a small smile coming onto his face. "Jon... it'll be alright." Jon frowned again, and the tears continued to flow. "I-it won't be alright! They're taking me a-away from you!"
Tord sighed and held Jon close. He sang a Norwegian song he knew to calm his boyfriend down, and it worked. Jon stopped crying, and a smile came onto his face. Tord soon stopped singing and wiped the remaining tears away.
"If you care so much, we could always run away." "B-but... well... that's not a terrible idea..." Tord smiled, lifting Jon's head to face him. The two kissed, holding each other. When it got a bit heated, Tord pulled away. Jon was under him, and he was pinning the boy to the bed. He chuckled and pecked Jon's cheek, the flustered boy grinning.
"Tomorrow morning, let's leave together. We can ask the maids for help." Jon said. Tord sat up, releasing the boy. Jon sat up and held tightly onto both of Tord's hands. "...Are you sure about this?" Tord questioned, looking at the frail boy. "Tordski... it's all we can do. If we tell our parents, they'll separate us before we have time to go."
Tord seemed scared, and Jon rested his head on Tord's shoulder. After a short while of thinking, Tord came to a final decision. "...Alright. Meet me in the castle's gardens tomorrow morning. I'll go... talk to the maids." Jon nodded, letting go of Tord. They shared a parting kiss before Tord left the room. Jon laid on his bed and thought about it a bit more. It was a good choice, right? It was the only way, right?
