Summary:

There's a serial killer on the lose and it's up to Sadie to convince everyone else the same thing.

Sadie Johnson was your average southern girl from Dallas, Texas until she moved to a smaller part of the south in North Carolina. When she starts her first year at college studying criminology she finds out the quiet town that she thought had nothing much to offer, well let's just say it had everything.

As she watched the death rates go higher due to house fires, she has to do something. She soon realizes as she tries to uncover the truth about the town that no one is who they seem to be. She can't trust anyone. Not her professor, the police officers, or even her new best friend Grayson.

And as she almost uncovers it, she is stopped by the person who lurks in the night time with embers surrounding them - she is toast.

Author's Note: This is my new story for nanowrimo and I've noticed I tend to go to darker themes for my projects for nano. This one is going to focus on an outside looking into a serial killer's mind so I hope you enjoy it.
