Everything was pitch black. All that could be seen was a deep void of nothing. A mumbling sound was heard coming from inside the darkness. The mumbling gradually got louder.

"Christopher, open your eyes." A distant voice said.

A glimmer of light then suddenly appeared in the distance. The light grew larger and larger until all shadows had disappeared.

"Christopher, open up your eyes." The voice repeated sounding more familiar than before.

Shortly after, everything came into focus. There was fire everywhere, flames that were about 10* feet tall burnt everything in its path leaving only ashes behind. The flames kept on growing larger.

In the midst of the flames it seemed as if there stood a person who wasn't being affected by them in any way. However the stranger's back was turned and face couldn't be seen. Just when they were about to turn around revealing their face, the fire surrounded them and they disappeared.

"Christopher! Wake up!" The voice shouted.

A sudden rush of pain ran throughout every inch of his body, causing Christopher to spring out of bed. Now sitting upright, he frantically looked around the room.

"Oh, it was just a dream." He sighed in relief after realising that he was now on his bed.

"You finally woke up, I didn't want to hit you in the head with my cane but that was the best idea I came up with." Said an elderly man standing beside Christopher's bed. The man had Amber eyes and shaggy hair almost as white as snow with a well groomed mustache just as white. His skin was a bit wrinkled and he also seemed to be frail.

"Don't you think that was going a bit overboard." Christopher said aggressively while rubbing his head and getting out of bed. "You could have damaged my brain for all I know."

The elderly man suddenly burst out in laughter and then left the room.

"What's so funny gramps?" Christopher asked just a bit before his grandfather had closed the door behind him and made his way down to the living room.

"How could I have damaged something you don't have?" His grandfather asked with a grin on his face.

"Whatever." Christopher mumbled to himself before following his grandfather down to the living room.

"Hurry up and get ready for school, I shouldn't have to be telling a 16 year old this, you should know better." His grandfather said in an annoyed tone just before he threw on an apron an heated the stove. "I pulled a lot of strings to get you into this school you know, probably the best in the country."

"If it's that great of a school then why haven't I heard about it before?" Christopher questioned while making his way to the bathroom.

His grandfather ignored what Christopher had asked and instead of giving him an answer he said "When your done in there your breakfast will be ready. Today i'm serving my world famous blackened eggs with black bread."

After Christopher left the bathroom he went up to his room and got dressed in front of a full body mirror. Christopher was as tall as your average 16 year old teenager he had a medium built body and was fairly muscular. His hair was fiery red and had light blue eyes.

He went down to the living room and had a bowl of cereal instead of the crunchy breakfast his grandfather worked so hard to prepare. While having his cereal he overheard a news broadcaster making a report.

"There has been several reported kidnappings that had occurred over the past two weeks. The police are doing their best to arrest the kidnapper and return those who were kidnapped safely back to their homes. The police have yet to find out the reason for these kidnappings but the suspect is said to ----"

Christopher cut the report short by turning off the TV. He then took up some papers his grandfather told him to carry along with him, said his goodbyes then left

He sat on a bench and waited at the subway station for the #3 train to arrive. While waiting he saw a little girl crying about the age of 5.

"I can't just ignore her, she probably got separated from her parents, they're probably nearby so I doubt it'll take long." Christopher said to himself as he got up out of his seat and walked over to the girl.

"Hey, I'm Christopher, what's the matter?" He asked while crouching down to her height with a smile on his face.

After seeing such a heartwarming smile the girl stopped crying. It appeared as if she was no longer depressed.

"I... I can't find my mommy." The little girl replied while wiping away her tears.

"It's okay, I'll help you find her" Christopher said as he stood up and held out his hand for her to hold onto. "Where was the last place you saw mommy?"

"She was at home." Replied the girl. Christopher spiked an eyebrow after hearing such a reply.

"What are you doing here then?" He asked her after asking himself the same question but couldn't come up with a answer that made sense.

She shrugged her shoulder in response to Christopher's question.

"I'm going to bring you home, its not safe for you to be out here by yourself. Do you know how where you live?" Questioned Christopher.

She nodded her head "this way." She said as she pointed to an exit.

"Damn, I'm gonna be late on the first day." Christopher thought to himself.

Christopher followed the girl's directions and ended up at an old run down apartment building.
"Are you sure this is where you live?" Unable to imagine how a person would be able to live here he questioned.

The girl opened a door and ran inside, Christopher ran after her concerned about her safety but after he made it inside, he couldn't tell which way she turned. Shortly after he went inside the building he was greeted by a horrible stench.

"There's no light here. This place must have been abandoned a long time ago." He said after flicking a light switch that didn't do a thing. He then heard small footsteps running in the halls and the laughter of a young child.

"Quit playing, it's not safe to be running in these halls, you might get hurt." Christopher said while trying to catch up to her.

The laughter continued then began changing from sounding playful and innocent to evil and maniacal. Christopher increased his pace after he heard the sound of an old door opening. He saw the open door but inside of the room was so dark he couldn't make out a thing.

A group of 10 muscular men then walked out of the room and into the light where they could be seen.

After remembering the earlier news report he realized what was taking place.

"I've been tricked! By an infant no less." He scowled.

Before he had a chance to move an inch, one of the men who had a bull tattoo on his right arm sent him crashing into a wall then falling on his face.

"That sure did the trick." The man remarked then started to laugh.

"You idiot, we're not supposed to kill him just yet. You could have at least held back a little." One of the men scolded. He was a bit taller than all of the others and his face showed a calm expression.

"Tsk, I don't want to pop your bubble or anything but I'm far from dead." Christopher said after standing back on his feet and wiping the blood off his face. "It's gonna take way more than a single punch to take me out."

"See, he's not dead so its okay right?" The man with the bull tattoo said. "You pretty tough to be still standing after a punch like that." Addressing Christopher

"That was quite a punch there you gave me. Allow me to return the favour." Christopher said then sprinted towards the man.

"Take your best shot." The man with the bull tattoo said while pointing at his face.

Immediately after he said this, Christopher punched the man in the face, the man's head was stuck in a wall.

"Hey, bro? Aren't you gonna get back up?" Asked Christopher. After waiting a few seconds later and the man didn't move an inch. He shrugged "I guess not."

The remaining 9 were awestruck. They couldn't believe what Christopher had done to their comrade. He had been defeated, with a single punch.

Four of the 9 charged and Christopher all at once. Giving him little to no time to react. They punched and kicked him many times with great force until he began to cough up blood, shortly after he fell to his knees.

"If Yado was beaten by this guy then he deserves to die." One of the four who attacked Christopher coldly remarked.

Christopher got back up and without hesitation he punched at one of the men who attacked him but the man blocked his punch with the palm of his hand. He grabbed Christopher by the neck and held him up in the air with one arm.

"Your so weak its funny." The man said to Christopher. Using his legs and his free arm He then began to punch and kick Christopher in his stomach. He tightened his grip on Christopher's neck. Christopher struggled to loosen his grip but his efforts weren't fruitful.

"You idiot, didn't you hear when I told Yado we can't kill him just yet. If you kill him now then I'll have you know that I'll be the one to put your life to an end." The tallest one said calmly.

After hearing this treat he then smashed Christopher's face into the ground and began to walk away.

Christopher was now unable to move, he then began to feel a burning sensation in his chest. The feeling began so spread all over his body and it felt as if his entire body was on fire. He screamed out in pain as his body temperature sky rocketed.

He tried to compress this feeling but it was no use. So he tried to force it out of him. He spat out a massive fire ball blowing up the 4 men who attacked him before. The pain went away for a moment but returned afterwards far worse than before.

"Your combat skills are superb, well that is to be expected, you were trained by your grandfather after all. To top it all off you're also the son of that man but I do believe this is where you meet you die." A deep voice was heard coming from the dark room that the 5 men stood in front of.

The small girl then walked past the 5 remaining men and stopped just a little distance in front of Christopher her eyes glowed blood red with a murderous look in them.

"It's about time" she said with a very deep voice. " To think that all I had to push you to your limits. Then that power that lays dormant within you would force its way out. Now it's time I absorb your power and add it to that of my own. Then I will be able to break my previous limitations and wreak havoc on this wretched world."

Christopher continued to scream out in agony as his body was engulfed in flames and fire raged around him.

The girl then started to laugh. "Your suffering amuses me." She said. Her body began to transform into a huge and hideous creature. "I will however show you my true form. It's the least i could do."

When her transformation was over, she stood far taller than that of your average human being. In a matter of fact there was nothing human about her. She had 2 long horns sticking out of her head, her skin was rough, a dark shade of purple almost black with a similar texture to sandpaper. She grew sharp claws and fangs.

"This is a moment that will go down in the history books, the beginning of the end. A new world governed by yours truly. Voldo ." The beast said while addressing the 5 men.

"I refuse to let you have your way." Christopher said with confidence after his body began accepting this new feeling.

"I see, I have to do this now while you haven't fully gained control. Otherwise all my efforts would have been a waste." Said Voldo while walking over Christopher.

Christopher stood to his feet. All the fire that was burning his body vanished. Fire only remained on his fists, it didn't seem to be burning him at all.

He threw a fireball that killed the remaining 5. Christopher then charged at Voldo and buried his fist in the beast's face. Causing the monster to topple over and crash through a wall. The room was filled with dust that made it hard for Christopher to see.

Before he knew it. He was pinned by 5 levitating rings, one on each of his limbs and his neck. Christopher felt his energy being stolen by the rings but couldn't do anything to stop it.

"This is where you die." Voldo said as the room cleared up.

A large bolt of lightning then desended from the heavens, destroying Voldo along with the apartment building. The rings that held Christopher in the air disappeared causing Christopher to fall.

As he began to slowly lose consciousness, all Christopher saw was a blonde person standing in front of him.

"Hey, you okay? He heard the stranger say then everything went black.
