            How’re you? I’m really happy to have you as my pen friend.

            Received your letter last Sunday, I’m very glad to hear that you have entered the best school in your city. Well, you asked me about my chool. The name of my school is Can Tho University.           

            CTU is the oldest university in the Mekong Delta in Vietnam. It’s a large and beautiful university. There are many plants around campus and there is a lot of fresh air. It has three campuses ( the land and building). Of all the campuses, Campus II is the largest one.           

            Let me tell you about some interesting buildings of the school. The first building is Learning Resources Centre or the central library provides updated resources. It’s a quite place so I often come here to study by myself and read books. Besides, with a video conferencing system and one thousand new computers connected to the internet, CTU makes teaching and research activities more fruitful. It’s very convenient! On campus, there are also sporting facilities, tennis and badminton courts, and football fields. Teachers and students can have fun and relax at these places.

            I like my school because my friends are very friendly and kind and my teachers not only teach us well but also solve all our problems.

Hello Everyone,

My name’s Tuyet. I’m a first-year student of finance-banking at CTU. I love to learn english because it’s an international language and it is also very important for my job in the future. My English speaking skill is not too bad and listening is not also very difficult for me. But I have a problem with english writing skill. I think the main problem is that I don’t have many ideas to write about for a topic.

What should I do to improve my english writing skill? Can anyone give me some advice?

Dear Uyen,

How’re you?

I live in can tho city with my parents and my sister. I don’t need live in the dorm such as some my friends because from my house to school about 15 minutes. I prefer to live at home because there are some advantages such as: life is both comfortable and convenient, my house is clean and quite, i can watch tv in my free time and especially I have my own privacy.

However, it also has some disadvantages such as: I don’t have much freedom, living at home is boring because I can’t chat with my friends or share the sadness and I don’t have living experiences.

I love to live with my family because my family make me feel cozy and happy!

My New Friend           

            Chau Vu Thuy Uyen is my new friend in my English class at CTU. She’s 19 years old and she come from Da Nang City in South central Coast. Her major is corporate accounting.Uyen says that she likes to learn english because english is an international language and she needs it for her future job.Uyen wants to work for foreign company. She says that her classmates are very good and friendly. Uyen also enjoys the beautiful nature and peaceful atmosphere of Can Tho City. In her free time, she likes listening to pop music and going shopping with her friends.
