You are expelled
*Rapunzel's POV*
It's Monday morning. I'm so excited for Jack to break up with Tonya. I mean, I feel bad for her, I would hate it if my boyfriend broke up with me. But she keeps texting about how she's always hated me and how she's always knew I liked Jack. I'm ready for it to be done. I quickly ate my breakfast and hurried to school. I quickly opened my locker and grabbed my books. I was just about to head to Eugene's locker when someone got in my way. "Excuse me." I said. They turned around and scoffed at me.
"Why, if it isn't little Rapunzel?" Tonya taunted. She stood in my way, crossing her arms over her chest. She chomped on her gum, trying to intimidate me. Little did she know, that wouldn't work.
"What do you want Tonya?" I asked annoyance lacing my words. I didn't want to deal with her, not now. I just wanted things to be over with her and Jack!
"Duh, my boyfriend back." Tonya replied, popping out her hip. She batted her eyelashes, acting like I was stupid. Honestly, she would have to be the stupid one to think I would ever steal Jack.
"I don't like Jack." I argued. Jack and I were closer than two peas in a pod. The idea of dark him made me want to gag. He was one of my best friends.
"Then why did Kristoff send me all of this stuff saying that you guys don't like me?" Tonya questioned, holding up her phone. I knew that would come back to bite us in the butt.
"Because we don't." I replied. I started to notice a lot of people gathering around. I mean, what's not entertaining about two girls fighting? Everyone wants to see blood and gore.
"I think you're just jealous." Tonya smirked. God, she has a really ugly face. Why didn't I notice that before? She kind of resembled a bird of some sort, but I couldn't tell which one.
"Me? Jealous? Please, honey. Why would I have to be jealous over someone who can't even tie their own shoes?" I fired back. It was true, she couldn't tie her shoes. Her mother gave her Velcro straps because she refused to learn how to tie her shoes.
"Like that has to do with anything." Tonya scoffed, flipping her hair over her shoulder. Uhh, I mean, if you can tie your shoe you might be a little dumb, no?
"Give me one good reason why I should be jealous of you." I commanded. There was nothing appealing about her. She wasn't pretty in the least, she had a horrible attitude, and she was stupid!
"Because I'm dating Jack and you're not." Tonya smirked. She got a couple of ooos from the crowd that was slowly gaining more and more people. Couldn't people maybe mind their own business?
"Why would I like Jack?" I questioned. That wasn't even a reasonable excuse to be jealous! For one, I don't like Jack. Two, why would I care if she was dating him?
"Because he's smart, handsome, and popular." Tonya answered, listing them off on her fingers. At least she knew how to count.
"I'm already smart and popular so why would I need him?" I asked. I know I sound a little arrogant, but it was true! Why would I deny the facts? It would just make me look rude anyways.
"I guess you're right about you being smart and popular, but you aren't exactly pretty." Tonya commented, getting a couple of laughs from her closer friends. I clenched my fists and tightened my jaw.
"At least I'm not as self conceded as you. Plus, your eyebrows are uneven." I fired back. I got a couple of whispers. Dang it. I guess comebacks just aren't my thing.
"Whatever, I got them professional done." Tonya scoffed, brushing her hair behind her ear.
"Was the person perhaps blind or..." I trailed as the crowd awed. Ya! One point Raps!
"Ugh, that's it! Just give me back my boyfriend!" Tonya exclaimed, stomping her foot against the ground. Okay, I'm sorry, but I never figured that making fun of someone's eyebrows would actually throw them off their rockers.
"I never took him!" I shouted. Why would she ever think I would take Jack from her?
"Then why did he just dump me in the parking lot a couple minutes ago?" Tonya fired back then quickly covered her blabbering mouth. She just told everyone that Jack broke up with her.
"Because you don't think about anyone but yourself! Maybe because you made him do things he didn't like. Oh, and don't think he didn't hear about you and Jacob!" I exclaimed, crossing my arms over my chest. Jack wasn't stupid.
"I never cheated on him!" Tonya argued. Everyone knew that she cheated him. Jack was just too naive to believe. He figured everyone was making lies so he would break up with her.
"I'm not saying you did, but Jacob swears something happened that night." I replied. Ever since that party, Jacob hasn't stopped talking about that night. He talks about how if Tonya wasn't dating Jack, he would be her boyfriend.
"God, I'm going to kill that kid." She mumbled under her breath, looking the other direction.
"What was that? I didn't hear you?" I declared as I held my hand to my ear. I wanted to hear her say it loud and proud. The school needed to know!
"I didn't say anything!" Tonya shouted, shorting daggers back at me. God, couldn't this fight be over? This was the dumbest thing to fight over!
"Look, Tonya, you seem like a nice girl, but you let this popularity thing go to your head. Once you started dating Jack, you were mean to everyone and became a walking hot air ballon." I replied. I just wanted this to end. I wanted to go to class and forgot about this.
"No, I didn't, bitch!" Tonya exclaimed. Okay. I tried being nice, but that was too far. I don't tolerate name calling. I wasn't okay with that.
"Call me that one more time." I growled, glaring into her eyes. The crowd became silent as they moved closer in, cutting off all of my exits. There was no escaping now.
"Bitch. You're a little bitch." Tonya repeated, knowing she stuck a nerve. God, why did I let her know she had the upper hand?
"You're just mad that you can't have Jack. You're so used to getting everything you want. All you have to do is beg your daddy and you get everything you want!" I yelled.
"At least I still have my dad." Tonya cried. That's when something snapped. No one says that me. Not now. Not ever.
"What did you say?" I growled, walking closer to her. Oooohhh shit was about to throw down. I was so ready to feel her face impact with my fist.
"I have both of my parents and you don't. Your dad left you. He left your mom. And if you're anything like your mom, then don't think about staying in a relationship for too long." Tonya chuckled as my face began to burn a deep red. I could almost feel the smoke exiting my ears.
"Alright, that it. I was going to play nice with you, but it's on now." I grumbled. I ripped of my earrings and handed them to Kristoff, who was standing there in shock.
"Rapunzel!" Kristoff yelled. As I turned around, Tonya threw a punch. It hit me square in the eye. I turned and pounced on her. I kicked her and punched her in the face over and over again. I felt someone pulling us away. I turned around, ready to fight, only to see Eugene. He had a look of disappointment on his face. I slumped down and let him drag me away.
"I guess I won then." Tonya smirked as she stood up, her legs wobbling a bit. As Eugene was pulling me away by my shirt, I flipped her off. I heard everyone gasp as he pulled me around the corner.
"What the hell was that all about?" Eugene demanded as I pouted on the floor.
"I couldn't take it anymore." I grumbled as I crossed my arms over my chest. He didn't understand, he wasn't even there for all of it. He didn't hear what she said to me.
"You seriously had to sink to her level?" Eugene questioned as he paced in front me. I didn't 'sink' to her level. I was just had to let her feel the pain she gave me.
"Eugene, you don't understand." I argued, glancing up at him. He stopped and scowled at me. I've never seen him like this. He marched closer to me, leaning over top of me.
"What do you mean I don't understand? I watched you fight her!" He shouted, pointing where everyone else was still gathered. I couldn't see them , but I knew they were still there.
"She called me a bitch." I replied. That my first excuse. I knew, that was what made me anxious to punch her in the face at first.
"Well are you?" He scoffed.
"No." I quickly argued, not making eye contact. He just didn't understand and he never would! I didn't need to make him understand my reasons anyway! What I did is done.
"Then why did you do it?" He persisted.
"I don't know." I softly sighed, glancing the other direction. I began to rub my hands over my arms. Suddenly, I didn't want to fight him anymore. I just wanted to be left alone.
"There's obviously a reason that the nicest girl in this goddamn school punched someone. Now tell me." Eugene commanded, glaring at me. I didn't want to keep it a secret from him anymore. I just wanted to forget about it.
"She brought up my parents." I softly confessed, looking up into his eyes. His expression softened as everything processed in his mind.
"What did she say?" He gently asked, lowing his voice as he slid to the floor. We leaned our backs against the cold, brick wall. I took a deep breath, trying to calm my breathing.
"She told me if I was anything like my mom, th-that I wouldn't stand a chance in a relat-relationship." I stuttered, trying to finish my sentence. I could feel the lump in my throat forming and the tears beginning to burn my eyes.
"Hey, hey, hey. It'll be okay." Eugene comforted as he pulled me into a hug. I rested my head against his chest and looked up into his eyes.
"Is she right?" My voice cracked. Would I really never find true love? Was that my fate, to be alone forever?
"No, no, no. That will never happened to you. Someday, you'll find someone who will love you with all their heart and they'll never let you go." He assured as he ran his fingers through my hair.
"Really?" I sniffed as he killed me closer to him. For some reason, I just felt better. I had forgotten about everything else said in the fight. All I could think about was this moment.
"Really," Eugene responded. I could have swore I saw him starting to lean in close, but quickly back away. "Who started the fight?" He asked as he pushed my hair out of face, accidentally touching my forming bruise. I flinched back in pain. "Sorry." He quickly apologized.
"Tonya. And it's okay." I replied, looking forward again. It felt nice to be alone. Everyone had gone to class and we were the only ones in the halls.
"Let's go tell Mr. Walt." Eugene stated as he began to get up, making me feel cold again. He was so warm, so perfect.
"No, my mom can't find out about this." I refused as I placed my hands onto the cold tiles. If Mom found out, I was guaranteed a life sentenced to prison.
"She can either find out from the school or from the multiple bruises on your face." He replied, pointing to my face. I thought it over. If she finds out from the school, she probably be gentler on me. But if she finds out from me, the school won't have the records.
"Fine. Let's go tell Mr. Walt." I grumbled. Eugene helped me up and we walked to the office. My nerves began bubbling inside my stomach as we entered the school office. I didn't want to do this.
"Hello, darlings how may I -ahh" Mrs. Mouse screamed as she looked away from her phone to look at our faces.
"Hello Mrs. Mouse." I weakly waved. Eugene stood beside me, his hands in his pockets. He hated this stupid office, being as he spent most of his time here.
"Rapunzel, what happened to you?" Mrs. Mouse asked, looking horrified. She gently brushed her dark black locks behind her big ears. Her buck tether were slightly noticeable.
"We just need to talk with Mr. Walt." Eugene stated, ignoring her question. I could tell that he didn't really want to talk about it. He just wanted to get all of this over with.
"He's busy with another student right now. Would you like to wait outside?" Mrs. Mouse offered as she led us to some chairs.
"Thanks." Eugene replied as we sat down in the velvet red chairs. I rubbed my fingers against the seats, feeling them slightly burn my hands. I didn't want to go in that office.
"No problem." Mrs. Mouse smiled as she walked away.
"Oh, Mrs. Mouse!" I called.
"Yes, dear?"
"I really like the polka dotted dress. It really suits your style." I complimented.
"Rapunzel, you're too sweet." Mrs. Mouse grinned as she walked back to her desk. She did a little twirl before sitting down in her chair. We waited forever outside of his office, sitting in silence.
"Soo, what do you think he's going to say?" Eugene asked, breaking the silence. He leaned back in his chair, resting his hands behind his head. At least he seemed somewhat calm.
"I have no idea." I confessed staring forward.
"What's your first classes?" Mrs. Mouse suddenly asked.
"Math." Eugene and I replied together.
"With Mr. Schwerin?"
"Yes." We answered. We looked at each other and gave a little smile.
"Alright. I'll tell your teacher that you're talking with Mr. Walt." Mrs. Mouse explained as she began to talk on her phone. Mr. Schwerin was probably wondering where we were.
"Do you think he'll let me in?" Eugene questioned.
"Yeah, I'll tell him I need you." I smiled. Soon, the door opened and we saw Tonya walk out with Brittany. They smirked at us and walked away. Mrs. Mouse quickly ran to tell him we were next.
"Come in." Mr. Walt said. We quietly and carefully sat down in our chairs. He slammed the door behind us, making me jump. "Alright, why are you here?" He asked as he sat down in his swivel chair.
"The fight." Eugene explained, making Mr Walt groaned and run his hands through his hair.
"Tell me your story." Mr. Walt commanded, folding his hands into a little tent. I looked at Eugene and he gave me an encouraging head nod. Here we go, Rap.
"Well, I was going to walk to Eugene's locker when I bumped into someone. I politely asked her to move but she didn't. We started to fight over her relationship. We said some things we shouldn't have and we started fighting. Soon, Eugene pulled us apart and now we're here." I quickly stated. Mr. Walt nodded his head then looked down at his notebook.
"Who threw the first punch?" He interrogated.
"Tonya." I answered. Mr. Walt chuckled then glanced up at me.
"Really? Because that's not what she told me." He sweetly smiled at me, resting his head in his hands.
"But I'm telling the truth. I was taking out my earrings so I could fight her. I handed Kristoff my earrings and as I turned around, she punched me in the eye." I argued as I pointed to my eye. He had to believe me.
"So you were planning on hitting her?" Mr. Walt clarified, pointing at my eye.
"Yes, but she hit me first!" I exclaimed. Really? My only hope won't believe me? God, could this day get any worse?
"Okay. What was this all about?" Mr. Walt suddenly asked, looking at me and Eugene.
"She blamed me for stealing her boyfriend." I repeated. Why wouldn't he believe me? I would never lie and I've never had a record for lying.
"Did you?"
"No!" I shouted, letting my anger get to me.
"Okay. I'm going to call her in here. Who did you give your earrings to?" He questioned as he picked up his phone.
"Kristoff Bjorgman." Eugene added. I looked at him as he shrugged his shoulders. He must have known that I was getting upset.
"Would Kristoff Bjorgman and Tonya Feather please come to the office? Thank you," He declared over the intercom. Eventually, they showed up and walked nervously into the room. "Please, take a seat. Don't be shy." Mr. Walt smiled. They quietly sat down and stared at him.
"Why are we here?" Kristoff questioned, looking around.
"The fight that happened this morning. What happened?" Mr. Walt interrogated. Kristoff told what he saw and it was the exact same as mine. "That sounds very similar to Rapunzel's story." Mr. Walt pondered, glancing at me.
"I bet he's lying. He's one of their friends!" Tonya shouted.
"Okay. Kristoff, are you lying?" Mr. Walt asked.
"No sir." Kristoff replied, shaking his head.
"Okay." Mr. Walt smiled. I softly gasped. So he believes Kristoff but he won't believe me?
"But, but." Tonya stuttered.
"Look, I'm going to call yours and Miss Corona's parents to come down here," Mr. Walt replied. "You can go boys." He stated. I looked desperately at Eugene and he gave me a sympathetic smile as he gently shut the door.
"Mrs. Mouse, could call Tonya's and Rapunzel's parents for me. I really need them." Mr. Walt grumbled into his phone. After a half hour of silence, our parents showed up.
"Alright, let's make this quick. I've a meeting at nine and -woah- what's going on?" Mom questioned as she looked around the room. I kept by back to her, noting wanting to look her in the eyes.
"Your daughters got into a fight." Mr. Walt explained, a small smirk playing on his lips.
"Rapunzel Lynn!" Mom scolded from behind me. I couldn't let her see my face. If she saw that we were actually fighting, she would blow a fuse.
"This is your daughter's fault!" Tonya's mom blamed, crossing her arms. I could slightly see her out of the corner of my eye.
"I'm sure this is a big misunderstanding. Rapunzel wouldn't fight anyone." Mom frowned, resting her hand on the back of my chair. I could feel her nails, gently touching the back of my neck, bringing shivers down my spine.
"Look at their faces." Mr. Walt fired back, tossing his hands in the air. Tonya and I turned around to face our parents, only to receive looks of horror and hatred.
"Look at what your daughter did to her face!" Tonya's dad blamed as he pointed to his daughter's destroyed nose. Oops?
"Your daughter's face? Look at Rapunzel! Baby, are you okay?" Mom asked as she gently brushed the strand out if my eyes. Wow. I'm surprised that she isn't yelling at me for fighting yet.
"Let's just calm down. We're going to hear their sides of the story." Mr. Walt interrupted. Soon, we finished our stories. They didn't match up. Our parents glared at each other.
"So. Who do you believe?" Mr. Walt smirked as he leaned back into his chair. He knew who was right.
"My daughter!" Our parents shouted together.
"Ok, let's watch the hallway camera." Mr. Walt chuckled. I turned and looked at Tonya. I saw her pink skin turn into a sickly white. We watched Tonya attack me and me jump back onto of her. We watched all the way until Eugene pulled me off, missing the part of me flipping her off. "So, who was lying?" Mr. Walt asked.
"Tonya? Why did you do it?" Her mom questioned.
"It doesn't matter anymore." She grumbled, crossing her arms.
"You are expelled." Mr. Walt declared.
"What? Expelled? Isn't that a little extreme for a little hair pulling?" Her mom exclaimed.
"We don't tolerate violence in this school. She will be expelled for three days, while Rapunzel will help the janitors clean after school for three days. You are excused." Mr. Walt stated as he turned around. We walked out of the room in shock. As the door shut, Mom turned and looked at me.
"We will continue this tonight." Mom growled as she walked out. Great, I'm dead.
