I know you couldn't

*Hiccup's POV*
"Eugene! You can not eat all of that!" Rapunzel scolded as she stared down his lunch plate. Today's Monday, the day we have to go watch Punz cheer on Eugene for his wrestling match.

"Merida gets to!" Eugene argued.

"She's not wrestling tonight! This whole weekend you've been watching your weight and now you're going to throw it all away."

"I weighed myself this morning and I weighed 142." Eugene rolled his eyes.

"Your scale could be off. Maybe you're 145." Rapunzel frowned.

"Are you calling me fat?" Eugene smirked. Rapunzel shrugged her shoulders and went back to her salad. "Ouch." Eugene pouted as he placed his hand over his heart.

"Punzel, I don't even see why you care so much." Jack stated.

"Because I've been listening to his complaining for the past three days and if he goes over his weight class, then he's going to be whining about that for a week." Rapunzel glared at Eugene.

"I'm not that big of a whiner." Eugene rolled his eyes.

"Sure. And I have six eyes." Elsa smiled.

"Look, if you guys were in my shoes, then you would know what I'm going though." Eugene replied.

"It's not that bad." Rapunzel sighed.

"You've never tried on my wrestling shoes."

"Oh my god! Can someone trade spots with me?" Rapunzel begged. All of us quickly shook our heads no.

"What's so wrong with me today?"

"You've just been getting on my nerves. Hopefully after tonight, I'll be able to tolerate you again." Rapunzel answered. Eugene smiled and went back to his food.

~time skip to tonight~

"I'm so confused by this sport." I stated as I watched people from different towns wrestle.

"I agree." Merida smiled as she slipped her hand into mine.

"When does Eugene wrestle?" Kristoff asked.

"Not sure. Let's ask Punz. She'll know." Elsa smiled as we watched Rapunzel and Eugene talking on the sidelines. Rapunzel seemed happier so he must have made weight.

"Hey Punz!" Jack yelled, getting her attention. She waved bye to Eugene and jogged towards us.

"What's up?" Rapunzel smiled.

"When does Eugene wrestle?" Anna questioned.

"Depends. All I know is that he barely made his weight cut."

"How much does he weigh?" Jack snickered.

"144."

"Aww. I wanted to see him get smushed by someone bigger than him."

"Trust me, you will. He told me he has to wrestle one of the biggest boys on the Webster team." Rapunzel smirked.

"What a loser!" Merida laughed, getting attention from the other students.

"Serves him right. Anyways, see you guys later. My teammates need me!" Rapunzel waved goodbye as she ran towards the other cheerleaders.

"Okay, why would anyone join this sport?" Kristoff questioned.

"I don't think I could do it." I added.

"I know you couldn't." Merida smirked.

"This is so weird. Why did his parents have to pick this sport?" Elsa whined. Everyone shrugged their shoulders and went back to watching the 126 weight class. As I looked around to see how many other students watch this sport, I noticed a familiar brunette.

"Hey Jack."

"What Hic?" Jack asked.

"Is that-"

"Jack! I've been looking everywhere for you!" A high pitch voice squealed as someone tightly hugged Jack.

"Tonya?" Jack questioned.

"Hi Jackie. Do you like my new highlights? I got a bunch of different color to match my personality." Tonya rambled.

"They look cool." Jack weakly smiled.

"Could you guys scoot down, please?" Tonya asked.

"Sorry, Tonya, no more room." Anna frowned. If you knew Anna well enough, you have known that that was her fake frown.

"Well that's alright. I'll just sit on Jack's lap." Tonya smiled as she placed herself down. I looked over and saw Elsa fuming. Well of course she's mad, she's had a crush on him forever.

"Um Tonya, in case you forgot. We broke up months ago." Jack frowned. Jack wasn't very good at breaking bad news. Well, I guess it wasn't bad news, he just didn't like hurting people's feelings.

"I know." Tonya smiled as she looked back at the mats.

"Could you please move?" Jack asked. Everyone could basically feel the awkwardness in the air.

"There's no more room." Tonya frowned. Jack rolled his eyes. I was trying to think of ways to get rid of her when her voice broke through. "When does Eugene wrestle?"

"Not sure." I replied.

"Okay."

"Since when did you care about Eugene?" Elsa questioned.

"Since we became a thing." Tonya grinned. Everyone single one of us face palmed.

"Tonya, you and Eugene aren't dating. He's dating Rap. You guys weren't even a thing." Kristoff argued.

"Please, he's just going out with her because he hasn't dated her yet."

"If that was true, which it's not, Eugene would have broken up with her three days later." Jack explained.

"Jack, can I talk to you in private?" Tonya questioned. Jack groaned and looked around at us. We shrugged our shoulders while Kristoff quickly nodded his head.

"Fine." Jack agreed, literally pushing her off. She strutted out of the gym Jack with dragging along. They passed the cheerleaders and a very confused Rap.

"Glad she's finally gone." Kristoff stated.

"Me too." Merida grumbled.

"What do you think they're talking about?" Elsa questioned.

"Who knows, it's Tonya. It could be about her shoes." Kristoff muttered.

"So Anna, why didn't Hans come tonight?" I asked.

"Well for one, he doesn't exactly like Eugene." Anna started.

"I can agree with that." Merida smirked.

"Why?" Kristoff asked Anna.

"One time they were partners in science and Eugene flat out told him he was creepy." Anna explained.

"Sounds like him." I chuckled.

"Plus Hans doesn't like this sport." Anna added.

"I can't believe I'm saying this but, for once I'm actually agreeing with him." Merida scrunched her nose.

"Well he just doesn't like it because almost all of his brothers wrestled so everyone expected the same from him so he quit in like eighth grade."

"Baby." Kristoff mumbled.

*Jack's POV*
I reluctantly followed Tonya across the gym. As we were walking past the cheerleaders warming up, Rapunzel shot me a quick glare. "What are you doing?" Rapunzel mouthed.

"Tonya has to tell me something." I replied. Rapunzel raised an eyebrow and watched Tonya push open the gym doors that led into the lobby. She dragged me past the concession stand and towards an empty band hallway. "Okay Tonya, what is so important that you had to ask me this second?" I grumbled.

"Jack, I've done something terrible." Tonya paced back and forth.

"What?" I questioned.

"Like I've done something really, really, really, bad." Tonya frowned.

"What did you do?" I asked.

"Okay, so you know Hans?" Tonya asked. I quickly nodded my head yes. "Well last week we kind of hooked up." Tonya blushed.

"Why are you telling me this?"

"Because you're the only one I still trust. I know we had a thing and I still like Eugene and me and Rap had a fight, but can you just listen to me as a friend quick. Please?" Tonya begged.

"Okay."

"Well Hans was telling me that he was looking for someone to hang out with and since all of my friends were forced to stay at home, I agreed. Later that might, he brought out drinks, alcoholic drinks. I reluctantly had a few and one thing led to another-" Tonya started crying, unable to finish her sentence.

"Hey, hey. It's okay." I comforted as I pulled her into a hug.

"Jack, I didn't know he was dating Anna until Sunday morning when she posted a picture with him." Tonya sobbed.

"You'll have to tell her." I replied.

"Jack, don't you see? I can't! I can't tell her I'm the girl who ruined their perfect relationship. I don't want to see the look of betrayal on her face." Tonya defended.

"You can't leave her in the dark." I argued.

"That's exactly why I told you."

"Tonya, I'm not going to do your dirty work."

"Please Jack."

"I'm sorry, but this isn't my problem. I'd love to help you as much as I can, but I can't do it all." I compromised.

"Okay. I'll tell her soon." Tonya sniffed.

"Okay. Now you go to the bathroom and fix yourself up. I'll go back to the gym. I'll make Anna scoot down and then you can sit next to me."

"No that's okay. I think Brittany is around here somewhere. Thanks Jack."

"I just have one question for you. Why am I the only one you can trust?"

"I don't trust Brittany after she that she and Eugene hooked up. I mean, I know Eugene well enough to know that he isn't like that."

"Thanks." I smiled. If Tonya could believe Eugene wasn't a player, then most people had to believe he wasn't too. I mean, according to everyone, Tonya knows all.

I walked back into the gym and took my spot next to Elsa. They all begged me to tell them what she had to ask me, but I kept my mouth shut. It wasn't their business or my job to tell them. "Ooo! Eugene is finally going on!" Anna cheered as she shook Merida.

"Calm down, Anna!" Merida commanded.

"I'm sorry, I'm just so excited!" Anna cheered as she jumped in her seat. Eugene and his opponent walked onto the maroon wrestling mat. Eugene had a green band around his ankle while his opponent had a red one. They lined up to their marks and shook hands.

"Wrestle!" The referee shouted. They wrestled back and forth for two minutes until the timer beeped. Eugene won the coin flip so he had top. The whistle blew again and they wrestled.

"Yes! Takedown!" Kristoff cheered.

"A what down?" Hiccup questioned.

"Takedown. Eugene just earned two points." I explained. Eventually, Eugene won his match. By the end of the night, the Harrisburg Bulldogs won the wrestling meet.
