I hate them both with a passion
Warning! There will be swearing in this chapter!
*Rapunzel's POV*
We all gathered around in the living room, chatting about school and what sports we were excited for. I slowly drank my beer since I didn't really like the taste. How could Eugene drink this all the time? I was pulled from my thoughts as Anna asked me a question I didn't hear. "Hmm?" I asked.
"I asked if you were ready for cheerleading on Monday." Anna smiled.
"I don't know, I'm kind of nervous." I weakly smiled.
"There's nothing to be afraid of, I mean, I'm probably the clumsiest person in the school and I'm in cheerleading. You'll do fine." Anna encouraged.
"Okay, but I have one question." I replied.
"What?" Anna asked.
"Do you like pick the sports you want to cheer for or do you just get put in them?" I wondered.
"You pick whatever sports you would prefer and then based on your skills and how many people pick that sport, you might get the ones you want." Anna informed.
"Makes sense." I smiled.
"Which sports do you want?" Jack asked.
"Definitely wrestling, then basketball and weightlifting." I smiled.
"Well wrestling cheerleaders don't have to do much so that one should be easy." Elsa laughed.
"No kidding, all they do is sit on a pillow and cheer on some poor suckers who are rolling around on a sweaty mat." Merida added.
"I'll have you know that I am one of those poor suckers." Eugene said, pretending to be offended.
"Let me guess, do you wrestle the 285 pound class?" Merida smirked. Eugene dramatically gasped as everyone burst into laughter.
"No! I wrestle the 145 weight class." Eugene frowned.
"Then I guess you'll need to lose a couple pounds." I teased as I lightly slapped his stomach. He quickly swatted my hands away.
"Har har. I'll have you know that right now I weigh 148 pounds so I have plenty of time to lose three pounds." Eugene huffed.
"How do wrestlers lose weight so fast?" Anna asked.
"Sleep in the cold so you shiver off weight, eat less, and spit every chance you get." Eugene answered.
"Spit?" Elsa asked with a disgusted face.
"Yeah, it's a horrible sport season to be around him." Kristoff teased.
"So I'm guessing you're sleeping with the air conditioner on tonight?" Hiccup smirked.
"I'm not going to lose weight until my coach says so." Eugene replied. I rolled my eyes and they spotted something outside. I ran towards the window and gasped.
"What?" Jack asked.
"It's...it's.." I stuttered.
"What's wrong?" Elsa asked.
"It's snowing!" I cheered as I jumped around. Everyone groaned except for Jack and Elsa.
"Yes! Winter is finally here!" Jack and Elsa cheered.
"What's so great about winter?" Merida asked.
"It snows!" I answered excitedly.
"It snow every year." Kristoff groaned.
"But snow is awesome!" I exclaimed.
"It's not like it's magic or something. It's just frozen rain falling from the sky." Eugene grumbled. He never really liked winter because it meant staying inside more often and taking care of Max more. They don't really get along. He also didn't really like the cold. He preferred summer, late spring, and early fall.
"Yeah, but it's light, fluffy, white rain that collects on the ground." I fired back. He huffed and rolled his eyes.
"Yeah, snow is amazing!" Elsa exclaimed as she ran to look out the window with me.
"Don't forget about ice hockey." Jack added. We don't have a ice hockey team since most of the schools in our state don't offer it, otherwise Jack would be the star player. Jack goes to a hockey league in a bigger town about 45 minutes away during the winter usually after basketball practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
"And ice skating! I wish we offered that as a sport. I would totally rule!" Elsa cheered.
"Let's play a game." Eugene randomly said.
"Okay. What kind of game?" Anna asked.
"It will be kind of like truth or dare. So here's how you play, you can either call out someone personally or do the whole group. You ask a question and we have to answer. No chickens or lying. If you're caught lying, everyone decides a consequence. Alright?" Eugene asked.
"So how do we get to ask the questions?" Hiccup asked.
"We go clockwise and if you call on someone, then they get to ask a question and we move on from there." Eugene informed.
"So what you're saying is that if I didn't want you to ask a question, I could just skip over you and ask Elsa a question?" I asked.
"I guess, because then it would be Jack's turn." Eugene shrugged.
"Okay, let's play." Jack cheered. We all sat in a circle on the living room floor.
"I'll start!" Anna screamed as she rose her hand. "What is everyone's favorite season?" Anna questioned.
"Winter." Kristoff replied.
"Summer!" I cheered.
"I don't know, I guess Summer." Eugene chuckled.
"Winter." Elsa giggled.
"Winter!" Jack smiled.
"Fall." Merida said confidently.
"Fall or Summer. Both are okay." Hiccup said.
"And I like Spring!" Anna announced.
"Okay, if you guys had to pick between letting Tonya or Hans in the group, who would you pick. No offense Anna." Kristoff said.
"I don't care. I'm still going to date him." Anna smiled.
"Okay, this is a tough one. I'd probably pick Hans." I answered.
"Why?" Everyone asked.
"Because I can't stand Tonya. In case you guys forget, we had a fight." I said.
"I'd probably pick Hans. I mean, I hate them both, but I've never liked Tonya." Eugene said.
"Tonya. I have this gut feeling that Hans is this evil jerk." Elsa ranted.
"I'd pick Hans! Goodbye Tonya!" Jack yelled as he waved at an imaginary person.
"Tonya. I don't trust that ugly Hans." Merida grumbled.
"Hey!" Anna yelled. Merida shrugged her shoulders.
"Tonya. She looks nice." Hiccup said. Kristoff, Jack, Eugene, and I turned and glared at Hiccup. "Or maybe she isn't." Hiccup nervously giggled.
"Trust me. She isn't nice." Eugene replied.
"I would totally pick Hans!" Anna cheered.
"I hate them both with a passion." Kristoff grumbled.
"Wow. That's the first time I've heard you say you've hated someone." I awed.
"Who would you pick?" Eugene asked.
"I'm not saying. I asked the question, you never said that I had to answer." Kristoff defended.
"Fine, when you ask the question you don't have to answer." Eugene agreed.
"Yay! My turn! Where are your ancestors from?" I asked.
"Okay, that's a little weird." Merida chuckled.
"Just tell me!" I shouted.
"Germany." Eugene shrugged.
"Norwegian." Elsa smiled.
"Same!" Jack laughed.
"Scotland." Merida said in her Scottish accent.
"Some Viking village place." Hiccup said.
"Norwegian!" Anna cheered.
"Same." Kristoff chuckled.
"And I'm from Germany." I smiled.
"Okay, if you guys had to choose between not having internet for a year and getting paid the whole time you're without it or having to do homework for a year everyday and not have to it ever again, which would you pick?" Eugene asked.
"Homework. It's really simple if you just get it done." Elsa said.
"Internet! I can't stand homework." Jack whined.
"I agree with Frost boy." Merida grumbled.
"I'd pick homework." Hiccup replied.
"Hmmm, probably the homework." Anna answered.
"Definitely the internet. I never use it anyways." Kristoff said.
"Ooo, probably homework. I don't know how long I could survive without Internet." I shuttered.
"Homework." Eugene said.
"What!? You hate homework!" Jack and Kristoff yelled.
"Yeah! You complain to me about it everyday and ask if I'll do it for you!" I exclaimed.
"I would use the Internet to do my homework." Eugene smirked. I reached over and smacked him behind the head. He cried out in pain and looked at me.
"You could be doing that right now, but you're too lazy! What makes you think you'll do it then?" I asked. He seemed to be thinking it over as he rubbed the back of his head.
"I guess I'll go without internet. Besides, I'll get paid big cash!" Eugene cheered. Soon, it was Elsa turn and we listened to everyone say their answers and why. I was still holding my beer, trying to see how much I had left. I probably had a quarter of it drank and it was starting to get warm. I tried to drink some more but it wouldn't go down.
"Want me to finish it?" Eugene asked. I didn't even know he was watching me.
"Yes please." I grumbled as I passed him the can.
"You let it get warm." Eugene teased as he took a drink.
"Eugene!" Merida yelled.
"Yes Curly?" Eugene teased.
"Would ya stap callin me that!" Merida said in her Scottish accent.
"Woah! You should talk like that more often!" I cheered.
"No thanks. Anyways, how long have you liked Rapunzel?" Merida asked.
"Probably about three years now." Eugene thought out loud.
"Wow, and you never made a move." Jack teased, acting ashamed of him.
"I'll have you know I made the first move." Eugene lied.
"Whatever liar! I made the phone call and I kissed you at the football game!" I shouted.
"Phhh, I would have made the first move. Eventually." Eugene laughed.
"Sure." Kristoff said sarcastically.
"Anyways, since we're on the topic of Rapunzel. Have any of you had a crush on her and for how long?" Eugene asked.
"What are you going to beat them up? Because, I'm pretty sure Merida and Kristoff could kick your ass." I smirked.
"I'm just wondering! I don't really care!" Eugene laughed as he put his arm around me.
"No way. I could never have a crush in Rapunzel." Elsa laughed.
"Can we come back?" Jack asked.
"Why Jack? Are you really afraid of Eugene?" Anna teased.
"Just a little." Jack chuckled.
"Fine. Next!" Eugene yelled.
"Never." Merida snorted.
"Sorry, Punz but no." Hiccup smiled.
"Liar!" Eugene yelled.
"I'm not lying!" Hiccup defended.
"I know. I just wanted to make sure." Eugene smiled. Hiccup chuckled and playfully rolled his eyes.
"Maybe like in a jealous way? I don't know. You're pretty and smart so I'm pretty sure everyone has been jealous of you at least once." Anna complimented.
"Awwww, thank you Anna!" I thanked.
"Never. I've always thought of you like a little sister." Kristoff smiled.
"And I've always thought of you like a big brother." I smiled.
"Jack, answer. Now." Eugene demanded.
"Okay, okay. Yes I did!" Jack confessed.
"What!?" We all asked.
"It was like back in third grade." Jack added.
"Yeah, third grade till sixth grade." Kristoff smiled.
"Kristoff!" Jack yelled. Kristoff smiled and shrugged his shoulders knowing that he made it worse.
"Jack, why didn't you tell me?" Eugene asked playfully.
"Because I thought you would hurt me!" Jack dramatically yelled, going along with Eugene's act.
"No! You're one of my best friends! How could I hurt you!" Eugene yelled, pretending to cry.
"I'm sorry Eugene!" Jack fake cried.
"Bravo. Bravo." Elsa said as she sarcastically clapped.
"Thank you! Thank you!" Eugene and Jack said as they bowed.
"Ooo, my turn. Okay, Rapunzel. What is the worst habit Eugene has?" Elsa asked.
"He always clears his throat when we he's going to make an announcement." I smiled.
"What? I don't not!" Eugene denied.
"Man, I thought I was the only one who noticed!" Kristoff laughed.
"But I don't!" Eugene yelled.
"Should we go back to some flashbacks?" I asked. Eugene seemed to be thinking it over.
"Naw, I think I believe you." Eugene smiled.
"Everyone has to sing the first the song that pops into your head. Go!" I cheered.
"Fergalicious def- Fergalicious def- Fergalicious def-, Fergalicious definition makes them boys go crazy! They always claim they know me. Comin' to me call me Stacy. I'm the F to the E, R, G, the I, the E, and can't no other lady put it down like me." Eugene sang as sassily as he could. Of course, we all burst out laughing at the sight of him flipping his hair.
"Because we're holding our own! In a great big storm! And though we're cutting it close, we won't let go!" Elsa sang with all her heart.
"I'm a Barbie girl, in a Barbie world! Life in plastic, it's fantastic. You can brush my hair. Undress me everywhere! Imagination, life is your creation!" Jack sang in a high pitch voice, making us cry of laughter.
"Say what you want to say and let the words fall out. Honesty, I want to see you be brave!" Merida quickly sang. We were all stunned that the redhead tomboy could sing that beautiful.
"Go Mer!" I cheered along with everyone else.
"Girl you make my speakers go boom boom, dancin' on the tailgate in a full moon. That kinda thing makes a man go mm mm. You're lookin' so good in what's left of those blue jeans. Drip of honey on the money make it gotta be. The best buzz I'm ever gonna find! Hey I'm a little drunk on you and high on summertime!" Hiccup belted out in a perfect country accent.
"Cause baby you're a firework! Come on show 'em what you're worth. Make 'em go "oh, oh, oh!" As you shoot across the sky-y-y. Baby you're a firework! Come on let your colors burst. Make 'em go "oh, oh, oh!" You're gonna leave 'em falling down, down, down!" Anna sang as loud as she could, hitting all the high notes perfectly.
"I was caught in the middle of a railroad track. Thunder! I look round and I knew there was no turning back. Thunder! My mind raced. And I thought what could I do. Thunder! And I knew, there was no help from you. Thunder! Sound of the drum beatin' in my heart. The thunder of the guns! Tore me apart. You've been- thunderstruck!" Kristoff sang as he played a pretend guitar and bang his head. Finally, it was my turn.
"You are my sunshine! My only sunshine! You make me happy when skies are gray. You'll never know dear, how much I love you. Please don't take my sunshine away!" I sang as I looked at Eugene. He smiled and kissed me on the forehead.
"Beautiful singing Sunshine!" Eugene complimented as I blushed as red as a tomato.
"Aww, how cute!" Anna and Elsa fangirled as Merida covered her eyes. Soon, we forgot about the game and decided to do presents.
"Here you go." Kristoff said as he handed Eugene a box. Eugene smiled and ripped it open.
"Yes! A new mirror so I can look at my gorgeous self! Thanks Kristoff." Eugene said as he looked himself over.
"Self conceded." Merida coughed. He turned and gave her a glare.
"Here's mine!" I cheered as I gave my gift wrapped in blue wrapping paper. He tore it open and took out my gift.
"A man purse?" Eugene asked.
"No dummy, it's a satchel. You know, like off Indiana Jones." I replied.
"Thanks Rap." Eugene said. Everyone else didn't know what to give him so they gave him money, which of course he adored. Whether he'll admit it or not, I think he secretly liked my gift. We were all laughing and talking when we heard a clatter from outside.
"What was that?" I asked.
"I don't know. Let's go check it out." Kristoff said. We all crept into the kitchen, getting closer and closer to the door. I looked and saw a frying pan lying on the stove. I tightly gripped it as we looked at the door. Eugene turned and did a double check at my hands.
"What the hell are you doing with a frying pan!?" He whispered.
"It's my weapon." I explained.
"What will a cooking utensil do against whatever the hell is out there?" Eugene asked.
"More than your goddamn fists." I fired back. He rolled his eyes as I heard snickers from behind us.
"Who's going to look?" Anna whispered.
"Jack. He's the oldest." Kristoff said. I looked and saw Jack was no where to be seen. Suddenly, we heard a cry from outside.
"I guess it will be you, Eugene." I gulped as I handed him the frying pan. I accidentally smacked him hard in his stomach, making him groan. "Sorry." I apologized. He gave a glare and stood right next to the door. We heard the doorknob turning as Eugene tighten his grip on the frying pan. As it opened, Eugene smacked the beast on the head, knocking it out. We all looked at Eugene, surprised at his actions.
"Oh mama, I have got to get me one of these!" Eugene cheered as he admired his new favorite weapon. We looked at the ground as we saw the thing moving.
"Why did you hit me on the head?" Jack moaned.
"Jack?" We all asked.
"Yeah. Who did you think it was?" Jack groaned as he got to his feet. When he stood back up, Eugene smacked him hard enough on the head to make it hurt, but not hard enough to knock him out again. Jack cried in pain as he looked Eugene.
"Jackass! You gave us all a heart attack!" Eugene scolded.
"Aww, you guys do care about me." Jack teased.
"Not enough. Eugene, give me that frying pan." I demanded. Eugene tossed me the frying pan and I started to hit Jack on the shoulders with it. "What were you doing at one in the morning outside? Didn't you think to tell us? I thought you died and I was going to be next!" I yelled as I chased Jack around, trying to hit him and only succeeding a few times.
"Calm down, Rapunzel and I'll tell you!" Jack shouted. I stopped, waiting for him to continue. "I won't tell you until you pan the pan down." Jack replied. I groaned and handed Eugene my frying pan, which he happily took.
"Eugene told me he had some beer out in his pickup so I went and grabbed one." Jack answered. All of us oooed as we remembered Eugene telling Jack he could take one if wanted.
"Then why did you cry out in pain a couple minutes again?" Hiccup asked.
"I slammed my stupid hand in the door when I tried to shut it." Jack explained.
"Sorry, Jack." I apologized.
"It's okay, I'm just going to have tons of bruises now, and probably a concussion. Thanks bastard." Jack said, aiming his fowl language towards Eugene.
"No problem, Jackass." Eugene smirked as he returned the language. We partied all night and eventually went to bed around four am. I was getting ready for bed in Eugene's bathroom since Elsa, Anna, and Merida were getting ready for bed in the other one.
"Ya know, I can't believe you've liked me for three years!" I said as I brushed my teeth, toothpaste falling onto the sink and onto my shirt.
"Really? How long have you liked me?" He asked as he changed into a pair of shorts and a different t-shirt.
"I don't know. Two years maybe." I replied I spit into the sink. I quickly wiped my face off with a cleaning wipe and put on my acne medication. I yawned, thinking about how comfy my bed will be.
"Wow, and we never noticed." Eugene chuckled as he walked into the bathroom to brush his teeth.
"No kidding." I giggled. I closed the toilet seat and sat down.
"Got any toothpaste?" Eugene asked he took out his toothbrush.
"Here you go." I replied as I tossed him the almost used up tube. I felt my eyes start to droop as I watched him brush his teeth.
"Rapunzel, you can go back to your room if you think you're going to fall asleep." Eugene chuckled as he looked at me with toothpaste forming around his mouth.
"It's okay. I won't be able to sleep if they're all in there anyways." I yawned. I told the girls to come and get me when they were done, since I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep with them giggling and talking as they got ready.
"Okay." He laughed as he spit out his toothpaste and rinsed off his toothbrush. He helped me up and shut off the bathroom light. Eugene was one of the few who got a room with a bathroom. Elsa and I had the other, since we took Jack's parents' bedroom. The other one was open to everyone, which the other boys took to get ready. We sat on his bed, waiting for Elsa to come and tell me the girls were done in the bathroom. Soon, five minutes turned into ten. I decided to go under the blankets, since I was getting cold. "You sure you won't fall asleep?" Eugene asked.
"Positive." I yawned. I leaned my head onto one of his pillows and felt my eyes get heavier and heavier. I was just about to sleep when I felt a soft, gentle kiss land on my cheek.
"Night Rapunzel." Eugene smiled.
"Goodnight Eugene." I smiled. I reached over and kissed him on the lips. "I hope you had a good birthday."
"I did." Eugene replied as he shut the light off. I feel asleep almost instantly.
