-the next day-
"So, mom and dad... I say you down to introduce you to somebody really special to me. His name is co-" then my dad cut me off. "Excuse me? Him? A boy?! What's his name? And how old is he?" My dad asked a lot of questions which made me more nervous and upset than I already was. "Well, his name is Colby and he's 17" I said lying about his age of course. "Well, let's meet Mr. Colby..." my dad sis pausing. "Oh. Brock!" I said smiling. "Colby come in" I said kind of yelling so he could hear me from outside the door. My mom had a smile on her face but my dad had a very judgmental look.

"Hello, I'm colby" Colby said introducing himself to my parents by shaking their hands. "Well now that y'all know who colby kind of is, I was wondering if y'all were okay with eating dinner with colby tonight at a steak house near by" I said raising my eyebrows a little at my dad. "Alright. Sure, fine, whatever" He said raising his hands and getting off the couch and going upstairs. "So Friday?" I asked my mom and she shook her head with a small smile. "He's cute" my mom whispered in my ear which made me laugh.

"Also mom?... is it okay if me and colby hang out with a few friends and his house?" I was begging she would say yes in my head and to my luck she told me to hurry and leave before my dad did a while background check on colby. We hopped in his corolla as fast as we could and drove off to his place. "Wanna go to Sam's?" He asked me and I shook my head yes.
