Jimin stands in his room looking it over to be sure he's not forgetting something.
"Jimin! Would you come on already love, we're going to be late." Yoongi rushes him from the hall.
"I'm coming." Jimin says. He's been trying not to be in a shitty mood with Yoongi. He tries to understand where Yoongi is coming from.
Jimin grabs his bag of gifts before stepping into the hallway meeting Yoongi and shutting his bedroom door.
"Ready?" Yoongi asks.
"Mhm." Jimin nods pulling suitcase with him as well.
Their car is waiting for them when they step outside into the frigid winter air.
The car ride is silent except for the hum of the radio.
Yoongi takes Jimin's hand in his but Jimin continues to stare out the window into the morning fog.
Jimin didn't get any sleep last night dreading today specifically.
I mean he has every right to doesn't he?
What if his mom tries to force feed him or some shit.
Jimin sighs sinking lower in his seat as he thinks about every possible reaction the women could have.
Part of Jimin is grateful that his dad is gone so he at least doesn't have to deal with him and his homophobia.
Yoongi laughs at some joke the driver tells shaking Jimin from his thoughts.
Jimin smiles at Yoongi before returning his gaze to the fog.
Maybe it wouldn't be to bad. At least Yoongi will be there. At least he won't be alone.
Imagine if he had to go alone.
Jimin frowns at the thought before trying to look natural again.
Everything inside of Jimin prayed to any and every higher power there was that this trip wouldn't be hell.

"As okay as I can be." Jimin says already plastering on his fake smile.
Yoongi smiles before ringing the doorbell.
Although Jimin feels slightly weird ringing the doorbell to his own house but he lets him.
Jimin's mom answers smiling widely. "You two finally made it."
"How are you Ms. Park?" Yoongi asks as the two hug.
"I'm good Min Yoongi how are you son?" She replies.
"I'm good. I'm good." Yoongi says releasing her.
"Jimin." Jimin's mum says reaching for him and hugging him tightly. "I've missed you so much Park Jimin."
"How are you mother?" Jimin asks hugging her back.
"I'm perfect now that you're here darling." Ms. Park says.
Jimin can't help but truly smile as his mother holds him.
"Alright then." She says releasing him. "Lets get you inside your shaking like a leaf."
Jimin lets go as well before following Yoongi and his mom into the house.
"I'll take your coats boys." Ms. Park offers as the two remove their shoes.
Jimin puts his bag down before unbuttoning his coat which slightly difficult with his trembling fingers.
When he does finally get his coat off his mom speaks up.
"Look at you Jimin. What are they starving you in Seoul?" She jokes.
Yoongi laughs awkwardly as Jimin smiles at his mother.
"No worries. I'll take good care of you while you're here." She says taking Jimin's coat.
"Thank you mother." Jimin says.
"I can't believe you're home." Jimin's mom says pinching his cheek fondly. "C'mon then. I'll show you to the guest room."
Yoongi squeezes Jimin's hand as the walk down the hallway.
"You two just settle in now. Are you hungry? I could put some dinner together."
"Sure mom." Jimin says setting his things on the bed.
"Great. It'll be ready in a few. Get comfortable." She shuts the door behind her leaving them alone.
"She seems happy you came." Yoongi says turning to face Jimin.
"I hope she is." Jimin says. "Now I feel kind of bad for avoiding her all this time."
"You're here now. That's all that matters." Yoongi reassures him.
Jimin nods taking his gifts from the bag he bought.
"Let's go ahead out front. Don't want to keep your mother waiting." Yoongi says holding his hand out to Jimin.
Jimin takes his hand, letting him lead them both from the room.
"So how's Seoul this time of year." Ms. Park says as they enter the small kitchen area.
"Cold." Jimin states sitting at the round table, Yoongi takes a seat in the chair to Jimin's left.
"I would imagine in would be." Jimin's mom sets two cups of tea in front of them along with cream and sugar. "Dinner will be just a moment. I hope you boys don't mind pot roast."
"Not at all Ms. Park." Yoongi says.
Jimin takes his tea without cream or sugar letting the warm liquid heat his frozen fingers.
"Tomorrow after dinner I figured you guys could help me hand deliver the neighbours Christmas gifts." Ms. Park says.
"Sounds like a plan." Jimin says.
"And it's been so long since the neighbours have seen you Jimin. They'll be so surprised." Jimin's mom says smiling brightly.
"Oh I'm sure they will be." Jimin says staring down at his cup of tea.
"I better call my mom and let her know we're here before it gets to late. Do you mind?" Yoongi says standing from the table.
"Oh no go right on ahead." Ms. Park says.
Yoongi stands from the table touching Jimin's shoulder as he leaves the kitchen.
"You two have grown up so much." Ms. Park says. "I remember when you were sneaking out and skipping school together. Now you're living together."
"Yeah." Jimin smiles. "It's been a long time since high school."
"So what's next then?" Ms. Park asks sitting down in Yoongi's abandoned spot.
"I don't know." Jimin shrugs.
"Well are you going to marry the boy?" Ms. Park asks.
"I don't know mom." Jimin says. "If the time comes maybe."
"Well when will the time come? It's been almost 5 years darling."
"I know. But we haven't talked about it in a while. And things haven't been the greatest between us." Jimin says.
"What's the matter?" Ms. Park asks.
"Nothing. We just. I don't know." Jimin stammers.
"You guys bicker like a married couple so you might as well be one." Ms. Park says.
"We don't bicker. And so what if we don't get married. It's just a piece of paper." Jimin says.
"A piece of paper that means he's yours and you're his."
"Like we're each other's property." Jimin says.
"Oh Jimin. Hush up." Ms. Park says nudging Jimin's shoulder and standing and walking back over to the stove. "I promise Jimin. Marriage is so much more than a sheet a paper. It's a commitment not everyone is willing to make. But when you do. It's like magic."
"Magic huh?" Jimin asks.
"Yes. Lovely magic."
