Secrets

Kanan just took off in The Phantom and Ezra watched him fly away into hyperspace. After he was gone, he felt the sudden jolt The Ghost made as it began to travel to Hoth. They had to make this mission quick so Kanan wouldn't notice. Ezra gradually made his way to the back of The Ghost where Zeb, Sabine, and he would jump out and grab the supplies. Once he made it to the back, he put on his helmet and leaned against a crate, waiting for them to jump out.

"Hey, Ezra," Sabine looked over at him. "You feeling okay?"
"Yeah," Ezra simply said a few moments later. "Why?"
"You just seemed...different."
"And not in a good way," Zeb teased.

Ezra grimly glared at Zeb and gripped his cadet academy helmet.

"Just leave me alone," Ezra said as he slipped his helmet over his head.
"Geez, what's the kid's problem?" Zeb whispered to Sabine as she scolded him.

The Ghost began to decelerate and Hera began to talk to them over the comm. system.

"Alright everyone," she started, "let's get in and out quick! No mistakes can be made!"
"Got it!" Zeb replied then raced out.

They jumped down into the freezing atmosphere and quickly into a building as Hera landed The Ghost. Chopper went out to the ramp with two blasters in his mechanical hands just in case. It was ominously dark but supplies were everywhere. If they do this right, they'll have enough supplies to last them through the next the month! Sabine, Zeb, and Ezra began to push crates out one by one, however, what they really needed was on the floor above them that appeared extremely unstable. Sabine rushed out with two crates as Ezra and Zeb began to climb to the second floor which was reached by either stairs or a ladder. Once they reached the second floor, they began to search for the crate. The second floor was covered in metal shelves and skeletal structures that could tumble at any moment. Then Ezra spotted it.

"I found it!" Ezra said.
"Okay, where is it?" Zeb asked.
"It's up at the top of that metal shelf."
"Karabast! You gotta be kidding me!"
"I'll get it. Catch it when I throw it down."
"Be careful!"

However, Ezra was already halfway up the shelf. Zeb kept his arms outstretched as Ezra finally made it to the top of the shelves. He began to push the crate over the edge as Zeb mentally prepared himself. Then the crate began to descend to Zeb.

"Zeb, Ezra; Let's go!" Sabine loudly said from the entrance.

The Lasat and Padawan began to race down the stairs and followed Sabine back to the ship. Suddenly, Ezra stopped in his tracks as Zeb and Sabine raced past him on their way to the ship. He look to his right and saw something hidden among the shelves and crates. However, he was greatly doubting himself.

"Ezra, hurry up!" Sabine called from outside.

Out of nowhere, Ezra was hit with a blast that stunned him. After quickly recovering, Ezra scrambled out of the building to where Zeb and Sabine were. Stormtroopers emerged as Ezra ran onto the ramp. Hera began to take off and the ramp began to close. Zeb and Sabine reached out for Ezra and helped him into the cargo bay. Once the ramp was closed, everyone took a slight breath of relief.

"Mission complete. Good job everyone!" Hera praised everyone over the comm.
"Sort of...," Ezra muttered as he stood up and felt his shoulder.
"Ezra, what happened back there?" Sabine asked. "You just stopped. What was up with that?"
"I thought someone else was there. Stormtroopers. But they're gone now and we're okay..."
"Gee, kid, sometimes you can be too reckless like your master," Zeb groaned. "We don't need another heedless Kanan around here."
"Let's get to the med bay," Sabine told him.

Sabine began to lead Ezra to get medical supplies as Zeb reluctantly went to the cockpit to tell Hera what happened. However, they couldn't completely wrap Ezra's shoulder, or else Kanan might notice. They knew Ezra was good at hiding his pain, so for once, it would come in handy.

"You sure about this?" Hera asked Ezra as they returned to their original location. "That's a pretty bad wound."
"Hera, I'm okay," Ezra reassured her. "Anything to keep Kanan off our backs. But look at the bright side: we got the supplies."
"That's true; we have more than enough."
"Let's just forget this ever happened to me. Kanan will be back soon anyway."

Ezra rushed out of the med bay as Sabine, Zeb, Hera, and Chopper each contemplated Ezra's actions. Chopper emitted a few noises to express his opinion.

"I know, Chop," Sabine sighed. "He will eventually find out. I'm sure it won't be too soon though."

Chopper continued to beep.

"Oh come on, Chop! Have a little encouragement!" Sabine said.
"Ugh...rusty bucket of metal," Zeb grumbled as he left the med bay.

Chopper, Sabine, and Hera followed Zeb out and they all waited for Kanan to return.
