•3 weeks after the crash•
Adrien's face was buried on marinette's chest, listening to her heartbeat to soothe his own heart.
He promised himself not cry, but the news were just too much for him to take. He hold on to her tightly as those horrifying words bumped in every corner of his mind.
•flashback•
"Your wife fell into a state of coma. And they are chances of amnesia. I'm sorry Mr. Agreste."

Unable to control any of his emotions, those tears that he was holding back—slipped down his cheeks slowing. His arms wrapped around marinette's body, not wanting to let go. Then those tears turned into sobs. Adrien tried for them to be soft and low but he couldn't keep them down.
"Come on princess, I know you can do it." He sobbed deeper on her chest. As Manon was crawled up between her legs, purring softly when she felt the warmth of her mother ticking her tiny body.
Adrien faced away from her chest and pecked Marinette's purple and dry lips gently. "It's time to go kitty." He cupped Manon in his arm but she refused to go. She stabbed her tiny claws on Adrien's arm which he yelp and let her go. Manon crawled up again on Marinette, wrapping her tail and arms around her mother's thigh.
"Maman!" She hissed, holding her tighter.
"Maman needs to r-rest, let's g-go home Manon." He lied with his heart in his hand.
Manon totally ignored her "father's" commands and started to rub her head against Marinette's hand, wanting Marinette to fondle her head in response like she always did.
Nothing.
Manon pick up her hand gently but when she released it, her hand fell back down lifeless.
"M-Maman?" She asked with her voice breaking, poking Marinette.
"That's enough manon, let's go." Adrien grabbed Manon and started to walk away. Manon fought against the arms who held her. "Maman! Maman!" She exclaimed, extending her arm to reach Marinette.

"How is she doing?"Adrien asked, coming through the door of Alya's hospital room. Holding a bouquet of red roses. Looking at Alya: pale skin, bags under her eyes, some scars visible.
"She could be better, but she doesn't want to eat nor drink and that doesn't help.." Nino replied, his voice only sound depressed and empty. Adrien placed the roses on the night stand next to Alya and sat beside Nino. "The only thing she does is sleep. And when she's awake, she is all depressed and quiet." Nino slipped under Alya's, he looked up to her, wanting to see those sparkling eyes again. Then his eyes traveled down to her flat belly. He placed his hand on top, "Is like I can still feel them."
Tears started to form in his gloomy eyes, "I-It breaks my h-heart man."
Adrien could only pat his back in response, no words could comfort him. Beside he knew how Nino felt, Marinette was in coma for gosh's sake. They shares the same pain.
"How's Marinette doing?" Nino asked, cleaning the tears off his cheeks. Honestly, Adrien didn't want to answer that question, it only brings pain and despair to him.
"Marinette? She's still in c-coma, no changes nor signs she's getting better." He tried to sound as casual as possible but his broken voice couldn't be held in.
"And Manon? Who's feeding her?" Nino asked, trying to chance the topic.
"Your remember that girl Marinette used to babysit?"
Nino nodded, a bit confused.
"She's breastfeeding Manon."
"Wow isn't she like 16?!" Nino exclaimed loudly, only get smack with a pillow. He turned around to see Alya with another pillow ready to hit him.
"A-Alya!"
"I'm trying to sleep here." Alya complained, tugging herself in the blankets. "Hi Adrien." She mumbled before closing her eyes softly and falling asleep.
"And Alya is back I see...well I'll leave you alone, I have to check on Marinette." Adrien said as he stood up and waved goodbye.

Adrien came through the door quietly and sat on the chair next to Marinette. He linked his fingers with hers. Looking up to her, admiring her features carefully even though with all the injuries and scars, to him, she looked beautiful as always. His hand travel up to her face, rubbing her cheeks gently.
"Please princess, don't tell me I'm too late."
Without nothing else to say or do about it, he wrapped his arm around her chest, hugging her tightly.
Just then a hand fondled his puffy blonde hair delicately. A touch like no other, a warm like no other. His broken heart slowly came together as her finger ran across his head. Colors painting his black and white soul.
"You're not too late kitty."
Adrien quickly looked up from her chest, his gaze dance in pleasure when he caught sight of those icy blue eyes, sparkling bright than any jewel. No words could've describe the happiness nor the relief at moment...
But a kiss could.
Without the need of a second thought, he crashed his lips onto hers. His lips were desperate for love, rubbing desperately against hers. And this time she followed back. Adrien wrapped his arms around her, pulling her closer, their heartbeats only beating for one other. They pulled away for need of air, their eyes found their own way to cross with each other. Just like the first they met.
Marinette cupped his cheeks and planted a kiss on his lips.
"It's never too late."
