Author's P.O.V

"Marinette!" Chat nervously yelled as he spot her in the middle of the frozen street. Exactly as Tikki said, half of her body was trapped inside of the car and pound of blood surrendering her. But there was something else.. Wolves? They were licking the blood on the street as others got closer to Marinette's unconscious body. Snarling and growling.

"Stay away from her!" He screamed terrified, running faster. When he was close enough, Chat extended his baton, sending some wolves to fly across the street. Bad idea, the other wolves got angrier. They turn their attention to Chat, growling furiously. One of them jumped on Chat, bit his shoulder. He let a terrified scream of pain, then two wolves jumped on him as well.

This is it?

How much he wanted to feel Marinette's lips on last time and hold her body against his. All the memories flushing back in as he watched his love stiff on the ground while being bitten by massive wolves. But something new came upon him,

It gave Chat the strength he need. It's was necessary from him to be a better father than the jerk who got her pregnant. Also,he had waited almost 10 years to be with his lady. He wasn't letting that go that easily.

He freed himself from the grip of the wolves and ran towards Marinette, he used his cataclysm on the car.

The car instantly turn in to black dust, he gently cupped her in his arms. Only to get pinned down by one wolf. It cause for Marinette to fall and slumped on the asphalt.Two wolves came out of the frost forest and bitting Marinette's shoulders and dragging her away.

"M-Marinette!" Chat yelled as his voiced cracked. But he was brought back to the vicious creature trying to bite his face off. He used his baton to maintain the wolf's teeth away from him trying to shove it off him at the same time.

Suddenly a roar echoed through the mountains. The whole pack of wolves stooped and looked at the even bigger black wolf who appeared in front of them.

Why are they so many damn wolves?!
This is not right...

But this particular wolf did something that Chat wasn't expecting. This black wolf jumped and attacked the grey wolf that was on top of chat.

Biting, scratching him.

When Chat saw the chance, he escaped and quickly collected Marinette onto his arms .He looked back one more time,

Why?

He was grateful for the noble thing that wolf did but he asked himself: why will that wolf put herself in danger to save a person she didn't even knew... Or she did?

Chat looked at his ring for a moment, he only had two pads left. "I need to get to the hospital." He kissed Marinette's forehead.

"We're on our way princess." Chat ran off with Marinette wrapped around his arms.

"What did the doctor say?" Alya asked Adrien. Grabbing her best friend's hand who was laying on a stretcher. Lifeless, all bruised, scratched and bitten.

"She needs surgery for all the injuries..." He stopped, holding back his tears. Feeling how the guilt stabbed him relentlessly.

Alya came closer and pat his back, "it wasn't your fault Adrien.. You know that right?" She asked worried, Alya knew he was blaming it on himself.

Which wasn't true.

"YES IT WAS!" A particular person bursted into the room. "HOW COULD YOU LET HER GO ON HER OWN?!"

But their attention was drawned to Marinette who was groaning as she tried to sit up. The person rushed beside her, placed his hand on her lower back.

"Don't move honey," Marinette looked up to the owner of the voice.

"P-Pryor?"
