Ty's P.O.V
"You almost had that Ariana." I said. She looks at me.

"Yeah...almost." She said. But up in the Aether. Don't know why either. Maybe because we never did finish that briefing yesterday. We probably should. "I got to go. Bye Ty."

"See ya." I said. Ariana flies into the air. I stick to walking. I could fly but...I don't want to.

"He's walking again. His wings are so useless and stupid looking." Someone whispered. My hearing is through the roof so I can hear people whisper from across a room and understand every word. But I can also hear when people are talking about me and I hate it.

"What do you expect from a reject? Nobody wants him here." Another person said. I flinch slightly. I glue my eyes to the ground....ignore them. Ignore them. I hear more of them talk and I bite my bottom lip. I'm usually good at taking criticism, but something about the angel bullying me just makes it feel so much worst. I stuff my hands in my pockets and go inside the castle. I lean against the wall. I take a few deep breathes. Okay I got through that okay this time. Last time I literally thought I was gonna break down cause they were really putting salt to a wound. I walk down the hallway. Maybe I should do one of my daily disappearing acts. Avoid all angels. Farla and Ariana are okay angels. They are nice, but I know Ariana only cares for Seto and Farla could care less what happens. I open a door and see Notch.

"Hey." I said. 

"Hey Tyler." Notch said. I flinch a little at my real name. No one really calls me that anymore. Notch is looking at some ball and I can see images on it but it's hard to make what they are.

"What are you doing?" I ask. The ball disappears.

"Just looking what's going on the surface." He said. He walks towards me. "Hey you okay? You seem not as uplifting as usual." I look away from him. Should I tell him? No...better not to worry him over nothing.

"Just tired is all. I'm gonna be gone for a few days again, do I need to do anything before I head out?" I ask. Notch shakes his head.

"I'll call you over your communicator if we need you Ty. Be careful." Notch said. I nod and head out of the castle. I fly over to the portal and go through it. I step inside the portal room on the top floor. I press a button and the Aether portal is concealed. I fly down the steps and outside.

Seto's P.O.V
"What is it you need Notch?" I ask walking into the room.

"Seto, I have a task for you." He said.

"Want me to get the others?" I ask. Notch shakes his head.

"No. No. Ty went on one of his trips again. Adam and Jason are probably just chilling at the temple. I just need you to do this." He said. Okay. But I rather have the others with me. But okay. "There has been moment from the Nether and I don't like it. My brother has been unstable and unpredictable for the last two centuries."

"Do you know why?" I ask.

"No. No idea. He might just want to take over the Overworld or possibly destroy the Aether. Who knows, he is the Nether God. He has a short temper. But I need you to check on the seals on all the Nether portals. Make sure my brother cannot go through." He said. I'm getting the feeling Notch is hiding something from me, but with how much power he has, I rather not ask.

"Is that it?" I ask moaning a little.

"Is there a problem?" He asks.

"No it's just...there are so many Nether portals. It would be easier if Adam and I did this. He can cover more ground then me." I said.

"No." Notch said instantly. "Adam cannot do it. You can. I'll give you the coordinates of all 38 portals. Check them all. Take all the time you need Seto. I'm not going anywhere."

*Few Hours Later*
I sit at the base of a tree. 24 portals out of 38 done. I put my hand through my hair. Agghhhh...this is so boring. I'm near the 25th portal. Why are there so many?! I pull my hood up. It's turning dark. So let's not waste time. I continue walking towards the portal. Mobs start to show up. I groan.

"Not in the mood damnit." I said. I've checked all the portals before, took me four hours. But of course I had Ty to fly me to each portal. I see a house with a Nether portal near it. I don't know why the humans thought it would be necessary to make a Nether portal near their houses. It's the number one cause of nether mobs coming through. I walk up to the portal. I put my hand on the obsidian. Each portal has an invisible rune placed on each piece of obsidian that is needed to make a portal. The runes light up and I look at each one, seeing each one there and in proper working condition. I remove my hand and walk away from the portal. Then I hear someone walk out of it. I turn halfway and look at some guy with two girls in armor and swords coming out. The simple life. Just surviving. Sounds boring. I walk away from them and let's do one more before I turn in for the night.

*Few Minutes Later*

I grab some vines and jump off the edge. I fall all the way down, landing on my feet. I let go of the vine and walk down the cave. My communicator has the coordinates of each Nether portal. But it's a pain to bring them up. An arrow flies feet away from me. I stop walking and look at it. I turn around.

"That was the worst aim I have ever seen." I said. The skeleton shoots at me. I  take a step to the left and it flies pass me. "Please." I pull out my sword. I run at it and hit it's head with my sword. The skull goes flying and falls down a hold. I kick it's body and it falls on the ground. I put my sword back in it sheath. I hear a scream.

"Calm down, it was just a skeleton skull!" Someone yelled. So there are people in here. I jump down into a hole and end up in an abandon mineshaft. Oh I know this portal. It's a pain to get to. I walk a couple corners and then finally see it and it's not activated. Strange. I walk towards it. Portals still work on the other side, even if one isn't lit. I snap my fingers and the portal lights. I walk to it and stop. Something doesn't feel right. I put my hand on the frame and the runes show up, expect for one. Okay at least this trip wasn't completely wasted. I remove my hand. A hand grabs my wrist through the portal followed by the rest of them. They push me against the wall.  My eyes meet pure white eyes, just like Adam's sometimes. It's a girl. She has long brown curly hair, white eyes, dark blue shirt, a black cloak with the hood up, dark brown lace boots, and a sword strapped to her side. She pins my wrist to the wall and I suddenly can't move my right arm. She lets go of me and smiles. Her eyes turn to normal brown color.

"That's should hold you for a while." She said. She runs away. She's a brine. I look at my wrist. My hand glows purple and I pull on it and breaks whatever she did. I run after her. I see her. I grab her as I hear voices that's not ours. I put my hand over her mouth and hide holding her against me. I see those two mortals. She grabs my arms. She struggles.

"Stop it." I whispered. They are mining. Why are they mining here in particular? She needs to go back into the Nether. The two mortals walk away and my grip loosens on her by accident. She breaks free and fires a spell at me. It hits my arm and I grit my teeth grabbing my arm. She laughs and runs away. I look at my arm that is no burnet and charred. Great. I run after her. Ty would be very helpful at the moment. I follow her back to the Nether portal. I push her towards it and she goes in. I break the portal and now she can't get back out. I lean against the wall. Well now my arm is burnt thanks to that girl. I sigh a little irritated. I walk out of the mine and into the forest. I pull up my sleeve to show my burnt and charred skin. 25 out 38 portals done. I'm really not in the mood to check 13 more portals. But knowing Notch will be mad at me is more frightening. I walk towards the next one and then hear water. I go towards that. My arm hurts really bad so water will at least make it feel better. I see a river, not that bad. I look around. I rather not risk doing magic, those two mortals could be anywhere around here. I sit on the bank of the river. I take off my gloves and splash water on my arm. I flinch at the suddenly pain that shoots up my arm and into my shoulder but the relief comes quickly afterwards. My communicator beeps and I put it on my ear, not bothering to see who it is.

"Hey Seto." Someone said. It's Ariana of course.

"Hey." I said. I kind of don't want to take my arm out of the cold water cause it feels so good anyway.

"So whatca doing?" She asks.

"Something for Notch. Can we talk later when I get back?" I ask.

"Um sure." Ariana said. I get this magic sense suddenly. I look towards it. "Bye Seto." She hangs up and I out my communicator in my pocket. I know of some wizards here on the Overworld, but I don't know where they are. And there really isn't any point really of me caring where they are.

I grab my gloves and put them in my pockets. I splash more water on my burns. The relief comes and seconds after the pain comes back and it's worse each time. This isn't doing anything. I stand back up and walk away from the river. I'll have to treat my arm later then. I slip my gloves back on. I carefully pull my sleeves back down but it hurts so I just keep them at my elbow. Alright, next portal I guess.
