Most of Matthews classmates, much like Jaylene's, didn't know for sure what grade she was in. But his classmates didn't think he belonged to Jaylene.

His classmates knew him as that weird, awkward, quiet kid. Even though Matthew would get into many fights, he didn't like attention, so he didn't really fight for it. He would sit in back of the classes and would never dare to raise his hand. He never participated in class. He was never really into sports either. The most attention Matthew ever got was when he would fight someone for an unknown reason.

Most of his classmates knew of Jaylene. She was a social butterfly. She loved meeting new people and making new friends. She wasn't shy, she was actually pretty outgoing and perky. Jaylene didn't mind the attention but she didn't work for it either.

His classmates felt as if she was more serious than him, a silly person. His classmates said the same to the couple as everyone else: "You're too different."
