Zuko was silent on the ride to the hospital, Suki stayed back to take care of Toph and Aang to let them know there was an emergency. Katara drove as he sat passenger so Jin and Sokka were behind them.

"How's your head?" Katara asked softly as zuko was feeling light headed still.

He didn't even hear her as he looked out the window, his mind was to busy and to loud for him to even pay enough attention who was with him.

"Zuko," she glanced at him concerned but kept her eyes on the road.

"Lee," Jin touched his shoulder but he jumped and moved away quickly.

"What?" He snapped harshly.

"Hey, cool it, we're almost there, how's your head?" Katara got his attention as zukos leg was bouncing with his hands clasped together.

"I'm fine just hurry up," Zuko said in a short tone.

They pulled up to the hospital and Katara didn't even park the car before he jumped out and sprinted inside not caring who he left behind at the moment.

"Go after him, I'll park the car," Sokka sighed seeing the worry on his sister face but Jin watched Zuko disappear in the hospital.

"No he should have a moment alone with his uncle, let him process what happened... whatever happened," Katara pursed her lips and drove to the parking garage connected to the hospital.

"Where is iroh susano? Where is my uncle?" Zuko ran to the front desk panicked as the nurses gasped at the suddenness.

"He's in surgery, he had a heart attack while driving and crashed," the nurse told him gently but zukos body was shaking harshly as he couldn't feel his knees.

"A-a-a heart attack?" He whispered with his voice cracking.

"Is he going to be okay? Is uncle going to be okay?" Zukos voice shook as he struggled to keep himself feeling like he was going to pass out again.

"You need to sit, get him a water," the nurse noticed him getting paler and was on her feet.

She grabbed his arm as another nurse supported his other arm and they helped him to the waiting room to sit in a chair, he couldn't breath, his body was hot, he couldn't focus.

"In an hour or two hour uncle should be coming out of surgery, just hang in there okay? Relax," the nurse handed him a cup of water but he dropped it shaking his head.

"D-do You know what happened? Why did he have a heart attack? Why was he driving?" Zuko whimpered wanting to believe this was just an awful dream, he felt helpless.

"I'm sorry I don't know, we won't know anything until he comes out, do you have anyone I can call? A sibling? A friend? A parent?" She asked kneeling in front of him.

"M-my friends came with me, my girlfriend, they're coming," zuko tried to control his breathing but they brought him a Coca-Cola to drink instead.

"Zuko!" He heard Katara.

The nurse waved them to come in and moved out of the way.

"Hey what's going on? Where's iroh?" Katara ran over panting but Zuko couldn't bring himself to say anything. She sat next to him but gasped softly when he rested his head against her shoulder.

"They don't know if he's going to be okay," Zuko gulped a little trying to stop freaking out.

"He was in an accident and had a heart attack, if you guys just want to wait here we'll get you when he's ready for visitation," the nurse explained as Sokka walked in with Jin.

"Thank you," Jin pursed her lips as she watched Zuko bury his face in the crook of her neck.

"It's going to be okay, don't assume the worst," Katara told him gently as she ran her fingers through his hair.

"I could've been there, I could've helped him or a-at least avoided the accident," Zuko whispered as his head pounded. Her hand against his scalp to sooth the tension but there was suddenly something wet against her shirt.

"Fuck, I should've been home," he whispered as tears ran down his face. Katara looked at Jin and Sokka wide eyes, Sokka put a hand on Jim's shoulder and pushed her out with him to give them a moment.

"I'm sorry, sorry, shit, I'm not okay right now, I just need a minute," Zuko waved them off as he quickly got off his girlfriend and covered his face trying to wipe the frustrated tears.

"It's not your fault," Katara told him sternly but he kept his palms over his eyes with his head bent down.

"I can't lose him, I can't.. I have no one else, I can't lose my uncle," Zuko whispered and covered his mouth tightly. He was still a minor, he could be sent to his father or the foster system till he turned 18. He'd be alone.

"He's not going to die, he probably had a minor heart attack and bumped his head a little to hard," Katara pursed her lips keeping her hands to herself but she was fearful, what if she was lying, she couldn't promise anything.

"But I should've been there, I could've drove him and he could've been fine but the car accident.." Zuko couldn't stop tears dripping down his chin and onto his jeans.

"Fuck," he hissed wiping his face quickly. "I'm sorry, sorry you can head home, you don't have to stay,"

"I want too, I want to stay," she told him and Zuko looked at her trying to hold it all in but there was fear in his eyes. He was so scared to lose the only person that never gave up on him, that was there with him through the worst and believed he could be better. A real father to Zuko.

"What about jin? She's suppose to be leaving today and the fight and-I.. I don't know what to do," Zuko leaned back bouncing his leg again.

"I can talk to her, you have enough on your mind, I don't need you fainting again," Katara stood up and kissed his forehead gently before letting him have a moment alone.

She walked over to Sokka and Jin who were around the corner waiting to see what the next move was, if iroh was going to be okay.

"How's Zuko?" Jin asked but she had guilt settling in her chest.

"He's going to be fine, just overwhelmed and in shock I think," Katara crossed her arms glancing over her shoulder.

"What was the earlier? Why did you and Zuko suddenly start screaming at each other?" She looked back at Jin frowning.

"He got mad cause.. cause I don't think you two are going to last long," jin admitted pursing her lips.

"Really?" Katara asked sadly.

"Damn, and to think I actually could get you to like me as a person," she scoffed a little.

"So what if we don't? Why wouldn't you still support him? What if we weren't even dating?" The blue eye girl glared a little at her.

"It's not fair you guys are so called close after a few months when I've been with him for years," jin snapped at her.

"She also was with him when he came back to a place that hurt him so much, there's a lot of bad memories here," Sokka cut in putting a hand on Jins shoulder.

"His dad is here, the guy that abused and manipulated him as a child, and the kids that he had hurt before to confront him," Katara sighed softly shaking her head.

"Yes, I forced myself into his life but it's worked out in the best, I wanted him to have a friend at least even with somethings getting in the way, but it just happened we also started to like each other after a while," she explained.

"What do you know that I don't? I know his dad use to hit him, his mom died, I know about the kids, so what?" Jin spat glaring darkly at her. "I got him on medication in the first place,"

"Whatever he wants us to know is up to him, that's not my business to tell," Katara defended.

"Look, Zuko needed us both for the time we were in his life, you're important to him from his life in Japan, I'm important to him for the life he had to start again in America, knock off the jealousy and support him with the little time you have left, you leave and he needs his friends right now," she rolled her eyes and went back to the waiting room as Sokka stayed back with Jin for a moment.

"You do love him don't you?" Sokka asked quietly.

"He's my best friend, course I love him," Jin gulped.

"I just miss it when it was just us, he has a girlfriend, I'm not his number one anymore, till he breaks up with her and comes complaining," she sighed tilting her head to the side.

"Have more faith in them," Sokka crossed his arms looking down.

"I didn't like Zuko, I thought the same with him with my sister, just another guy she'll get mad at and stop talking too, but now it's been four months, and he's grown on me, I think if you give them time you'll like Katara too," he smiled down at her gently.

"It's different," Jin shook her head.

"Hey," Sokka touched her arm gently.

"I get it, when your not the person they need at the moment, you might have been before, but it's just the wrong person at the wrong time, there's not much else you can do," he said softly as Jin felt tears started to burn but blinked them away.

"Ha sounds like you've had experience?" She wiped under her eyes a little to try keeping it in.

"I did, but I waited and became a better person, I now have Suki," Sokka smiled at the thought of his girlfriend.

"Let's just wait, I'll talk to him once we know if iroh is okay," jin hugged her torso a little as they went back to the waiting room.
