Katara giggled as she slashed water up at Aang as he laughed covering himself and splashed her back as Zuko sat in a floaty on the side holding a juice box with jin hanging onto his legs floating around, suki was showing Toph how to swim around as Sokka ate snacks with appa by the towels.

"Did Aang and kat date?" Jin asked as she spun them around as Zuko glanced over seeing Katara burst out laughing when Aang fell backwards.

"No? He's way younger," Zuko sipped his juice. "And Kat is my nickname,"

"Oh he's definitely had a crush on her then," she snorted and Zuko shrugged.

"Probably," he agreed but it didn't really bother him.

"That doesn't make you uncomfortable?" She asked confused as she swam around him.

"No? Why would it?" Zuko asked now confused.

"Like other guys have eyes for your girl? Don't you wanna like defend her?" Jin raised a brow.

"Her and Aang have been friends for a long time, I use to bully Aang and we made amends, he's a sweet kid, she's a pretty girl, a lot of guys have eyes for her, they're just friends," Zuko smiled relaxing in the water, he was comfortable.

"Oh come on it doesn't bother you?" She teased poking his foot.

"Why would it?" He raised a brow.

"Because she's yours?" Jin scrunched up her nose.

"Only when jet tries hitting on her," Zuko hummed.

"He's tried hitting on her?!" Jin gasped wide eyes.

"A lot, I wanted to kick his teeth in when he kept calling her a nice piece of ass," he nodded and looked at Katara as she went to swim with suki and toph.

"I hope you do like her Jin, she means a lot to me," Zuko said quietly.

"Is it the same for her as it is for me?" She asked looking at the water a little sad.

"Course, I know you two won't be best friends but your my friends," he nodded but Jin pursed her lips.

"She was the first person to not be cruel to me, despite some things about it I will not say, she still had good intentions to be kind, she's really a good person," he smiled gently looking at her.

"Kat... met my dad, and we've been through some bad shit," Zuko gulped a little and Jin looked at him surprised.

"Your little fights?" She asked sarcastically.

"Worst, I wouldn't... I don't think I'd be here without her," he closed his eyes.

"Your a drama queen still," Jin patted his knee but saw a large scar on his leg that was fresh.

Zuko pursed his lips a little bit stayed quiet, he didn't want to worry jin with the details of what's happened in the past four months, accidents, fights, what he's done.

"Wait what did you mean she met your dad?" Jin asked confused as they were quiet.

"Uh I-we ran into him on accident," Zuko lied nervously.

"I'll call her over right now," Jin threatened. She whistled for Katara and waved her over to come by them.

Zuko shook his head frantically as Katara walked over with the water around her waist and she hung onto the side of zukos floaty.

"What's up?" She kicked her feet behind her.

"Lee Lee told me you met his dad already? How'd you guys meet?" Jin smiled excitedly and Zuko looked at her shaking his head again.

"Oh uh he was at the tea shop once when I came by to drop some stuff off," Katara lied and Jins smile dropped.

"You lied," she looked at Zuko.

"I mean it was an accident still," Zuko mumbled.

"Look it's not important right now, it's over with," he sighed a little.

"Sure okay, you say that with everything," Jin scoffed crossing her arms.

"I do not, I mean it anyways," he frowned a little.

"Sometimes," she shrugged.

"You should get a restraining order on your dad," Katara smiled gently as she looked up at him.

"One day, one day I'd like to not think about him, just for 24 hours for once," Zuko groaned putting his head back.

"Sorry, we'll take it down a notch," Katara poked his arm and he gave her a look.

"We're talking about this later Lee," jin splashed them a little and went to the beach by Sokka.

"Shit she's mad at me," Zuko sighed a little closing his eyes.

"Theres somethings she's not going to know but there's things I'm not going to know, it's just because sometimes we aren't there to know," Katara stood up with the water covering her stomach and below. Zuko gulped a little blushing, she smiled down at him and leaned down to kiss his cheek softly to make him feel better.

"Your right," Zuko brushed some of her wet hair off her and kissed her gently. She tried getting back up but Zuko pulled her down.

"Oh I mean you don't have to leave," Zuko looked at her a little and she laughed smacking him. He pulled her and she screamed falling into him as they both sat in the floaty.

"Let me up asshole," Katara laughed as she sat on his lap.

"You mean it?" He gasped sarcastically.

"Yes!" She kicked her feet trying to be free. He shoved her off and fell in the water with a scream. Zuko laughed pointing at her but screamed when Katara flipped his floaty and he fell in. 

Katara laughed as Zuko looked like a wet mop with his hair in his face.

Jin watched from the sand as she snacked with Sokka. She pursed her lips a little, this wasn't the Zuko she remembered in Japan, her best friend, it wasn't the same guy she saw in the water. It made her gut twist, he was hiding secrets now, getting angry with her...

"Hey how bad has Zuko and Katara gotten in fights? I'm worried about him," jin looked back at Sokka who was eating his sandwich.

"Eh not to bad besides the one but like they've made up actually pretty good, then there was the car accident and the hostage shit, Zuko said somethings, Katara cried again, blah blah blah," Sokka said with a mouth full of food.

"Said things like what?" She noticed Sokka was in a trance with his food.

"Ugh icky stuff I don't like saying, it's one thing putting a gun to your head but talking like that in front of my sister is another, but like shitty life makes you do shitty things and I can def see him getting better, he hit suki freshman year," Sokka rambled as he looked at his sandwich lovingly.

"Whaaaaa..." Jin was questioning her English skills after talking to him. Maybe she should do some research on understanding the language..
