I got a pupper!!!!!!
Hey guys!
Long time no read in this thing, but I finally decided to resume and introduce a new subject which I'd never thought I could have in my life.
It's weird, never ever would I think of caring for a dog because I have those situations where uncertainty really just lingers in my fam.
Ever since I moved here, in the states, I was always keen on having our very own family, pet. My parents hate cats so we decided on the intolerable and annoying choice (jokingly) on, a dog.
We've had dogs in the Philippines, purely mutts with one having a large portion of Border Collie in their line and a Belgian Malinois in the other. They were precious souls, but we also lived in the common style of extended families (in this case, my grandmother and our maid) and we're particularly busy most of the time and spent our time in things that usually exclude them. Just me, mom, pops, and the little sibling. So, the doggos ended up really bonding with my grandmother, most of the time. And more into the dog history, we cared for pedigree German Shepherds, two of these lovelies, until their unfortunate passings when I was really teeny.
Almost five years after residing in the states, only did we finally considered getting a dog after visiting and just checking out a shelter in the town. My parents really relished of owning American, pedigree, purebred, AKC Champion bred, etc, etc on the prestigious dog titles of the German Shepherd platform. They love German Shepherds. But since the passing of the two in the PH, they were really reluctant since then.
Our family loves dogs. Our family hates cats. I love both. But, prior to Christmas of 2016, my friend told me about how her dogs produced an unplanned litter. I showed my parents the picture, and it was good timing when I showed them because that was when really, the dog talk brewed intensely. That was the time when my dad sent links of German Shepherd breeders in our area and my mother sent websites on training and other topics regarding for caring a dog.
However, my friend's unplanned litter was from Champion bred, AKC registered and pedigree parents that are of the breed of...
Alaskan Malamutes.
I knew my brother instantly agreed to a dog similar to a Siberian Husky (like a stupid little fucker, jk love ya kid), but the idea had a weird approach to my parents.
To cut the story, we researched and researched the breed. Eager to learn more.
I created a spreadsheet of the predicted expenses for the new addition.
We made a "handbook" or a "guide" of sort into caring for a dog based on the credited sources from the internet and Alaskan Malamute forums. It's in a 2-inch binder i still had from stinky middle school.
I was so desperate to have a canine companion that I persuaded my folks with great qualities and some modifiers and to my surprise, they were like, "fuck it, we need a dog.". They disregarded on how my friend wasn't a legit professional breeder but are show and shit.
So, we visited my friend and checked the litter of three out. We met the mother and father, and, we fell in love. But I did not know about how our parents' thoughts turned out when they saw the pups at 3 weeks old. We settled on a male pup.
We argued about names. We settled on "Maximus" from the movie "Gladiator," because... Idk lmao.
And just in case our minds changed, our names for a potential female pup were either "Hiver" (French for "winter") and "Robin," which was my idea ;)
I know what fanatics would be thinking, like "omfg three weeks?? That's a bad idea to choose a pup at the time."
Lmao. I know. I told them that. I knew around the age of 8 weeks would be the best time to select a pup due to their characteristics being revealed and such. I don't really know why we decided immediately at the male at three weeks, but then again... lmao ig we were in the moment.
As the weeks progressed until the 8th week mark (when we were gonna pick Maximus up), I finalized my research and still argued on names.
So, around the 8th week, the personalities were relentlessly obvious. Maximus had the disposition that's so excited, and is always so dominating to his sister, who's left of the litter.
Her personality was more mediocre, and I don't wanna get in depth of it bc let's just say, we changed our minds and settled on her. She's a pretty girl.
Now, Hiver, she's turning 6 months old, and is in the teenager stage (6-8 months) and she's now a handful. So sweet, mouthy, sweet, sleepy, we love running and hiking because of her and I'm actually out of my bed more often because of her.
Precious. I don't have the right words to tell much about her, we love her very much. I swear, when my mom goes on the business trips, every time she comes home she only looks forward to seeing the "bunso" (youngest in the family, Tagalog) besides her two other kids, me and my brother.
I have pics.
Lol, check her out :)
here's her now:
Enjoy your pups or cats or chinchillas or pythons or rats or hamsters or even bettas.
I'm just so proud on how my baby has grown at almost 6 months. And I'm here to rant all about it. Just don't be surprised for the next chapters being about doggos.
If, someone's still reading this but, let's say it's just a journal entry appreciating Hiver more, I guess.
Fun Fact: Here are my top favorite breeds:
1. Doberman Pinscher
2. Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
3. Dalmatian
4. Alaskan Malamute
5. Corgi (Pembroke)
This was really quick and I wasn't planning to really dwell too much as of right now, sorry lmao.
Thanks!!

LMAO betch you thought i won't add a tag of sort here.
Recently, HighFunctioningSarah tagged me and the next chapter of her rant book was another tag, poor child didn't tag anyone there for that tag because no one's doing em so, me too. Confusing as hell when I read that again but oh yeah, it's a total representation of my life as of, everyday...
Anyways, I won't tag anyone for this one.
here's the tag:
First off: my music choices has changed and i think no one will tell about who tf i am (even myself). It's a vARiEtY!
Second: I use Spotify.
NORMAL Spotify. Not the Premium one.
I wish.
But I'm broke as hell. And I don't hav a bank account to provide for that shit (even netflix, but thank you, parents, that are financially stable to provide your obligated-to-raise offspring their daily entertainment from binging on television. Doesn't have any consequences. At. All.)
So, I have playlists, but I just can't shuffle one again and again and if u have to struggle w that version of Spotify on a daily basis, then you'll understand.
I won't skip, it'll be just completely different playlists.
Alright, let's begin!
Shuffle #1:
from the first playlist entitled "fukcing personal," it's "Roman Holiday" by Halsey.
Shuffle #2:
the second playlist is entitled, "studyign," it's "Mess Is Mine," by Vance Joy.
Shuffle #3:
third playlist is "jammin," it's "Time Machine," by Darwin Deez.
Shuffle #4:
fourth playlist is "disney et anastasia," it's "Prologue," from the Beauty and the Beast Original Soundtrack by Alan Menken.
Shuffle #5:
number five is "why," and it's lastly "Hell Yeah," by Gucci Mane, ft. Slim Dunkin.
i'll add a sixth. idk why.
Shuffle #6:
the playlist is "work it out," and it's "Nobody Speak," by DJ Shadow, ft. Run the Jewels.
Fun Fact: Run the Jewels' song "Legend Has It" was recently featured in the new Black Panther teaser trailer worldwide released at the 2017 NBA Finals (which i actually watched) and is now stuck in my head.
I tag:
