Guys, I don't know if you've ever noticed, but Tony is really smart.

Yeah, yeah, understatement of the century, but seriously... he's REALLY smart!

For one, he created the first functioning arc reactor! (Not the one in his chest, the big one that Pepper blows up in the end of the first movie.) Research what's going on with the one they're building in Japan right now. It's not as easy as he made it look!
Then, he took that incredibly innovative technology and made it portable...

WHILE HE WAS DYING!

Oh, and while he was in that cave, he also created the first flying, weaponized body armour. Which still baffled Justin Hammer and Ivan Vankov YEARS after he'd outed himself as Iron Man.

Now, he just gets bored tinkering with this technology that only he has figured out... so he is continuously making it better and better! I mean, NANO PARTICLES? IN A TRACK-SUIT??? THAT CAN GO IN SPACE????

No. Because he's Tony Stark.

EDIT: Also! As av3ng3rs pointed out, this dude also just casually CREATED A NEW ELEMENT! Just because other metals that already existed didn't work for him. What a freaking boss.
