Damian was watching Tony. It had become a pastime for the child. The way the man argued with his AI, worked with the machines that find his way into his hands; it was chaos in motion. Yet. Elegant at the same time. Like the machines told him what they needed. As if he spoke to them like he does the AI. Despite Dick proving over and over that the older man doesn't actually talk to them.

"JARVIS," Tony called out. "Have you seen where I put that wrench?" The AI must have answered, since the man exclaimed and picked up the tool. "Now bring up their designs."

This is what the child had been waiting for. The evergreen of his eyes flashed in the little light hitting his hidden corner, making them dance like flames. He had to know what the man was doing.

"You can come out kid," Tony waves the found wrench in the assassin's general direction. "If you must know Alfred helped me get J on WiFi. And the you're, ahem, security, if you can call it that is next to nothing."

"But it's some of the best we have," Damian said as he silently slipped down from his vantage point. "How did you know I was there?"

"I live with two assassins, a demigod, or two depending on Loki's mood, a super soldier that is as close to Batman in red-white-and-blue. A man with breathtaking anger management, three AIs with mobility and another AI that runs my whole tower," The man just glanced at the gobsmacked look on the child's face. "You learn to find everyone in the room real quick."

"No," a British voice chimed in. Alfred was pushed a tray of food and tea when he spoke up. "You had to learn that earlier." The older man sighed when the genius only shrugged. "Master Damian you are supposed to be in school."

"I hate that place. They are all so stupid," The child hissed.

"I understand that one," Tony chuckled. "I hated school also. Then again I was younger then all of them. And they all hated it." The man spoke of changing schools often, being the bunt of every nerd joke and the bullying.

"I could take the jokes," Tony smiled. "Some of them were actually hilarious." He paused. "The jokes about my father never loving me. Well they hit every insecurity I had." He sighed. "It's one of the reasons I learned to know where everyone is." It was quiet but the advanced hearing of the baby bat caught it. "Anyways want to help me, chickling."

   "Chickling?" Damian raises an eyebrow.

"Baby birds are called chicks," the unrepentant replay.

~ttfn... it will be on hiatus since I lost the story line and need to find it. So here is a filler.
