Backstory*

Tyler Black has been on the indies circuit since he started wrestling.

Once he graduated high school, Tyler was accepted into multiple universities as he was going for a degree in engineering.

But that was all scrapped when Tyler left his hometown of Los Angeles to go wrestle.

He moved out of his family home and took the rist to move to Canada, and train in the famous Lance Storm Academy.

That's where he met a couple Australian's, Peyton Royce and Billie Kay.

They hit it off immediately until a year later, Tyler moved out of the academy and went back to Los Angeles to stick in the indies.

At a Pro Wrestling Guerrilla show, he was approached by a couple scouts from Progress Wrestling and was asked to come over for a tryout.

Before the tryout, Tyler signed up to he local talent when they came to the United States.

His debut*

Tyler Black walked into the arena where he was greeted by a upcoming superstar, Tyler Bate.

They both hit it off immediately and he was introduced by his other British bro's like Trent Seven and Pete Dunne.

His debut was a squash match against Pete Dunne where he was given a couple chops until he was hit with a "X-Plex" and was pinned.

He walked backstage to thank everyone for their hospitality, and as he was about to leave Bate and Seven walked over and introduced him to a little aussie; Toni Storm.

They both hit it off immediately as they had the same favorite style of wrestling and she'd light on each other's rythm.

Tyler: Well I gotta head back for a show tomorrow, it was nice meeting you Toni.

Toni: You as well, hopefully I'll be able to wrestle you soon.

They hugged it out and he walked away, Toni watched him leave and noticed how respectful he was to her since she's met some nasty people back in the day.

Tyler instantly liked her, he even thought she was pretty cute and always had a thing for the Australian accents.

Fast forward a week*

As Tyler was packing up from a match back in Los Angeles for PWG, he got a call from the Progress Wrestling management, where they stated on how much they were impressed by his performance and offered him a contract over the phone.

He couldn't pass that up as this would be the start of a great career.

A year later*

Tyler dropped the Progress Wrestling Atlas Championship to Trent Seven and had no idea where the storyline was going for him after that.

He felt good with his character but wanted to see if there was anything else out in the indy scene until he was called one day in his new apartment.

It was a New Japan Pro Wrestling scout and wanted to sign him to a shared contract, so he could still be employed with Progress Wrestling.

Of course he accepted and flew the next night out to sign a multi year contract.

Tyler then grabbed some stuff from his apartment in LA to stay three months in the famous NJPW Dojo where he was trained by the help from Karl Anderson, Bad Luck Fale and Hiroshi Tanahashi.

After the three months, he was thrown onto the roster of NJPW in a debut match against the veteran Liger.

It was an intense forty minute match, it ended in a no contest and that's when the owners and backstage talent knew this man would be a face of the company.

During his time in NJPW, he created the best matches and multiple five star matches.

He then met to become his best friend Will Ospreay after he signed a multi year contract with the company.

They immediately hit it off from them joking around and agreeing to alot of wrestling topics.

Tyler and Will were out one night with his girlfriend Bea Priestley, they got to talking about their past career achievements when Tyler brought up one of his best friends back in Progress, Toni.

Bea and Toni are also best friends and both Will and Bea knew that Toni and Tyler liked each other.

With that being known, Toni came to visit when New Japan was in Los Angeles for the G1 Classic and suprised Tyler after his match to grab the Never Openweight Championship.

That was also the night him and Will joined the newly reformed squad, Chaos.

Fast forward 1 year*

Tyler had been defending that title through the G1 Supercard and onto his third Wrestle Kingdom.

But today would be his final G1 Supercard, and no one else knows about it.

Alarm*

Tyler was in his original apartment in LA as today was a big day for him.

He reached over his girlfriend, Scarlett Bordeaux.

They had been dating for only five months but they were getting fairly close as she always stayed at his place when she wasn't wrestling for Impact.

Her and Tyler would see each other for four out of the seven days since he had to fly back and forth from the United States to Japan.

Opening his eyes*

He looked around and saw that Scarlett was still sleeping.

She wouldn't be going to the arena due to injuries and she wouldn't be able to see him much there, so she was staying there.

Tyler pulled his arm from underneath her and got out of bed.

The morning was turning into afternoon and he had to hurry, he grabbed some clothes and got dressed.

He had his bags packed and ordered an Uber, Scarlett was now awake and sitting with him as they were sipping on some coffee.

She doesn't know his secret as he didn't have to compassion to tell her.

Scarlett: Baby? Are you nervous?

Tyler: Not at all, but I'm wondering who my opponent will be.

Scarlett: I'm sure it'll be someone you can burn the place down with.

Car outside: Honk Honk*

Tyler: That's me, you're watching tonight right?

Scarlett: I wouldn't miss it for anything.

She pulled him down by his hoodie and pressed her lips and they had a passionate kiss before he left.

Tyler pulled away and she smiled at him, they would probably be texting the whole night leading to the pay per view so he would be in contact.

He said his goodbyes and walked out the door to the car.

Packed and buckled, Tyler was now on his way to the venue where his life will change forever.

While he was ten minutes away, he was responding to some of the emails until he reached one from someone that he promised he would never speak to.

Tyler,

Hey man, just a quick thing before you come to Orlando.

We have an apartment already set up for you that's right down the road from the Performance Center.

It's a nice neighborhood and other talent live in the same complex.

Tyler keeps forgetting to tell everyone what's happening.

The only people that know this deal is happening is the management from WWE and NJPW.

His contract was up after todays pay per view and he didn't resign as he wanted to continue the dream and go to WWE.

At the venue*

Tyler and a couple smaller talent were talking as a producer for the show walked over and pulled him aside so they can discuss his match for tonight.

He was informed that he would be putting the Never Openweight Championship against a mystery opponent.

That intrigued him as he had a few ideas on who it could be.

Tama Tonga, he's been shooting promos at him lately on social media for a shot at his title.

Jay White was also looking for more talent to crush as he was still IWGP Heavyweight Champion.

And last but not least, was Marty Scurll. The Villian once attacked him with his own belt and knew that he would destroy if he had a shot at Tyler.

After hearing that, he walked back to the men's locker room where him and his girlfriend were texting back and forth.

Scarlett❤: I just saw this amazing table that would look great for the living room.

Tyler: I'm sure it's nice, you always know what to pick out.

Scarlett❤: And you get more brownie points everytime.

That made him laugh until he saw his best friend Will walk in.

Tyler: What's up man?

Will: Nothing much.

Tyler: Cool cool.

Will: Hey, Bea saw you and Scarlett are thinking about moving in with each other?

Tyler: Yeah.. I'm not sure, I have some stuff going on now and think that'll ruin it.

Will: Like what?

Ospreay looked at him for a little as he wasn't answering him.

At this point he knew that something was up and bothering him.

Will: Bro? What's up?

Tyler: I can't tell you, it's hard.

Will: We've been best friends for three years and you and I are basically brothers, tell me man.

Tyler stood up and started to pace around as he knew that this would crush him.

Will: ...

Tyler: Alright, I accepted a contract from WWE.

Will: Really?

Tyler: Yeah..

Ospreay then sat down on the couch of the locker room and just looked dead into space.

Tyler: That means, tonights my last show.

Will: Wow..

Tyler: I know, and I'm sorry I didn't tell you earlier. You're like my brother and it's killing me on the inside.

Will: Yeah, I get it.

He then looked at Will who was thinking of something until Tyler spoke back up.

Tyler: Are you mad?

Will: How could I be mad? You're getting this great opportunity.

Tyler: Yeah but it's just all that we've been through, from reforming Chaos, taking the tag belts from Bullet Club to both of us winning the tournaments in the same year.

Will: Bro, this is memories, great achievements. We've been through it all; but sometimes you got to follow your heart and let go of the normal.

That got Tyler as he got a little teary eyed, they both then bro hugged and Will walked out of the locker room in a hurry.

Tyler then had nothing else to do but wait for the show to start.

G1 Supercard*

Tyler was opening the match as all of the titles from Ring of Honor to New Japan were being put up and defended.

As this was his last match, he knew that this would be the last time he held this title for a long time.

He loved all the titles he held, but this one was special as he successfully defended and retained it over twenty times.

That's what built the fan base for him over the people of Japan.

Announcer: The following match is scheduled for one fall and is for the Never Openweight Championship.

Tyler's theme hit and he waitied in the back to see his mysterious opponent, but they never walked out.

He walked out with the belt wrapped around his waist and looked around to see alot of American fans.

It was an odd perspective since he's used to the japanese culture when he's defending this belt.

Tyler made his way down to the ring where he then held the belt over his shoulder and patiently waited for the opponent to come out.

2 minutes later*

No one was walking out and that was worrying Tyler since he had to have an opponent to drop this title too.

He was given a mic as he was seeing alot of his Chaos members walk out onto the stage and look at him.

Tyler: Is anyone going to come out and help me defend this title, by becoming my opponent?

All of the guys then were lined up and made a gap in between them as the arena went dark.

The croud was excited to see who it was and then erupted when a familiar theme kicked on.

That put a smile on Tyler's face as he watched his best friend Will Ospreay walk out in Thanos inspired attire and walked down the ramp.

He then joined Tyler in the ring as the crowd was already chanting "this is awesome".

The ref introduced them and the ref rang the bell.

After a 30 minute match*

Tyler hit his famous Blackout", which is running knee to the back of the head.

He went to cover but Will kicked out after one.

When that happened Tyler got desperate and climbed to the top rope.

He was going for a 450 splash but Will jumped up and locked up with with him.

Tyler then switched it on him and hit a hurricanrana, as Tyler flipped he landed on his knees while Ospreay landed on his feet and started to laugh.

Tyler got up and walked over to Will as he was hit with an uppercut and then picked up by Will.

He was laid out when Ospreay hit his Storm Breaker.

He knew that the double underhook  canadian backbreaker rack transitioned into a modified corkscrew neckbreaker would be the finish.

Will covered and won the famous title off of his best friend.

That was it, Tyler's final match in Japan was over.

While Will was celebrating, Tyler got up and stood against the turnbuckles until Ospreay walked over and hugged him.

They had a little moment as Tyler was sucking in all the cheers.

Everyone then speculated that he was leaving Japan after fighting his best friend.

Backstage*

After his little goodbye match and celebration, Tyler and Will walked back to an applaud as they put on a five star match.

Everyone from management from both Ring of Honor and New Japan.

He hugged everyone until he couldn't hug no more, so he walked backstage to see Will's girlfriend Bea and Toni standing there.

When Toni saw him, she walked over and hugged him tight.

He could tell that she started to cry as this was his final day in the indies.

Toni: Bea told me that you're leaving!?

Tyler: I am.

Toni: Aww no! I'll miss you my Ty.

Tyler: I know, but I'll always be back and forth to visit. You're all my friends so I'm not leaving forever.

She hugged him tight again and he kissed the top of her head as he let go and walked back to his locker room for the final time.

Bea watched Toni stare at Tyler and wipe her eyes.

She walked over and comforted her as they had a little moment.

Bea: T? Did you tell Ty how you felt?

Toni: No.. it didn't feel like the right moment.

They hugged again and walked away as the show was continuing.

An hour later*

Tyler walked into his apartment to see Scarlett sitting on the couch.

She jumped up and ran to him, then jumping onto him as he held her up.

He was being showered with kisses but knowing he had to tell her something that could crush her spirit.

Tyler: Babe? Calm down, we need to talk.

Scarlett: Hurry.. I wanna do stuff.

She winked at him and he grabbed her hand and walked to the couch where they both sat down.

He took a deep breath and held her hand as she knew that it was important.

Tyler: Scarlett, I've accepted a new offer.

Scarlett: Like a new company?

Tyler: Yeah..

Scarlett: Who? ROH? Oh Impact!?

She was getting excited but he knew that he was about to crush her.

Tyler: WWE.

Scarlett: WWE?

Tyler: Yeah, I have to move to Orlando.

Scarlett: What!?

Tyler: And I want you to come with..

Scarlett: What!? Ty, you know I can't leave LA.

Tyler: Why? You film Impact in Jacksonville, Florida anyways; it's easier to move in with me.

Scarlett: Well..

She had something on her mind that was about to change their relationship.

Scarlett: I just signed with Ring of Honor during your match, I have to go to Philadelphia.

Tyler: Oh wow.

Scarlett: Yeah...

They then sat there in shock and not knowing what to say now.

Tyler: So now what?

Scarlett: Do we try long distance.

Tyler: Can we do it?

She smiled and kissed him passionately as he ran his fingers down her side and made her giggle.

Scarlett: I think we can.

Tyler: We'll try.

Scarlett: Smiles*

She then jumped onto him and started to make out with him.

Tyler then picked her up and carried her to their bedroom and closed the door.
