From the last chapter*

Both Tyler and Toni have made their known in NXT, and are experiencing a new environment in the WWE Developmental Program.

They both have alot to learn with this new style of wrestling.

Now, the previous training they've had over the years help quite a bit but since this is their in a family friendly company they have to change some things up.

That wasn't really a thing on Tyler's side, he loved being the loud mouth heel.

But Hunter informed him that their going to make him this hardcore heel that raves about blood and getting even.

Tyler was excited about that, but he was then told that he needs to censore himself and he wasn't all for that.

Triple H is making him his pride and joy of NXT since he makes the Japan pick ups superstars.

And he wanted Tyler to be able to hit the NXT ratings right on the spot, so he'll have to work on that.

Now with Toni, she's still under contract with Progress and also signing a double deal with WWE NXT so she can be used on TV for the Mae Young Classic.

She was excited to be in Orlando with everyone, especially one of her aussie friend's Rhea Ripley.

They've known each other for years in the indies, and now they get to go at each other during this tournament.

Toni has also been in talk with Progress about her contract.

No one knew that declined resigning their contract, so the contract that she was signing with WWE was a developmental contract.

She will be full time WWE in a couple months.

Present day*

Today is Tyler's first NXT taping at Full Sail; he missed the one after Takeover since they didn't have a story yet.

But he was in the clear to come down tonight for one out of the two tapings.

They always do double tapings but they only needed him in the storyline for one.

And he was excited to show his work in this new world.

Alarm*

Tyler opened his eyes a little to see the sun peaking through the blinds.

He closed his eyes again but the alarm kept blaring, so he had to get up at some point.

Smacking the alarm to turn off and pissing him off.

Tyler: God damnit, turn off!

He then unplugged it and then sat up on the side of his bed.

Looking around at the bare white walls was really making him depressed.

Usually his girlfriend Scarlett would help him hang pictures and paintings on the walls with him, but they haven't seen each other coming up on two months.

But he needed to get it done, so he figured to ask Toni to come over and help him since he has no idea where to put anything.

Plus she helped him hang stuff on his walls when he was in his first apartment after signing his New Japan contract.

After five minute of sitting and looking*

Tyler then finally got up and walked around the boxes and his bed until he reached the other side of the bedroom where his phone was.

It was blown up from notifications like always, and then he saw multiple messages from a couple women that ment alot to him.

Toni: What's up?

Toni: Ready for tonight!? I can't wait!!

Tyler: That's right, I forgot that the Mae Young Classic was starting tonight.

He shot her a quick text back.

Tyler: It's going to be badass, and I'm cheering for you the whole way.

Now, continuing to read the rest of his texts and emails until he saw his girls message.

Scarlett🖤: I miss you.

That was an odd message since they haven't talked in weeks, and after one of their conversations they had over facetime didnt help.

When she called one night, Tyler was sitting at home alone.

They started to talk about who's going to fly to visit one another.

But Tyler made the grave mistake to ask her to come down here.

Which upset her since he should be a gentleman and come up to Philadelphia to visit her.

Bringing up the scheduling and him being too busy around Orlando kept him from doing it.

And her now working with Ring of Honor didn't help either, since she joined they threw her into a storyline instantly.

So the conversation about them seeing each other ended with her getting upset and hanging up on him.

At that point, Tyler knew that this long distance relationship wasn't working and felt them drifting.

That's when the depression started, and he now had Toni to hang out with since he didn't know a whole lot of people down here.

Back to present day*

Tyler was showered by now and grabbing some protien bars.

There was no way he could stop and eat breakfast as he needs to hit the gym before going to the tapings later today.

So he grabbed his shades, bag and keys; heading outside and locked up.

This was his life now.

Tyler walked down to his truck, blasted his music and headed down to the Performance Center.

30 minutes later*

Tyler didn't get to beat the Orlando afternoon traffic and was running late.

So he pulled up to a parking spot, jumped out with his bag and headed inside.

No one was around, no superstars or trainers.

Only the receptionist at the front and a security guard.

Srugged it off and walked down the hallway to the men's locker room.

Unzipped his bag and switched into his workout attire.

He grabbed a bottle of water and walked into the gym area.

Now when he walked in, he saw the ring area was full of women.

It was all the participants for tonights tournament, and they were getting a briefing of what to expect.

Tyler walked around and saw Kyle O'riley and Roderick Strong doing cardio.

So he jumped on a bike next to them and they sparked up a conversation.

With Toni*

She was standing in the ring with all the other women, looking around at the Performance Center since she hasn't seen anything like this.

Then she zoned out for a second when she saw Tyler walk in, and she smiled when he waved at her and walked into the gym.

Matt Bloom then dismissed all the ladies and they all walked around, getting to know each other and joking around.

But that's when Rhea walked over to Toni and pulled her aside.

Toni: Sup?

Rhea: What's up? I see the way you looked say Tyler when he walked in.

Toni: Whaat.

Rhea: Yeah, now are you two something?

Toni: I mean we've been best friends for years now.

Rhea: Oh I see, you're not interested?

Toni: ...

She looked away and was getting a little upset as she continued to speak.

Rhea: You are!

Toni: ...

Rhea: Toni!!

Toni: ... I guess.

Rhea: Mate, go get him!

She shook her a little so Toni would snap out of it.

Toni: I can't, he's with someone.

Rhea: Oh..

Toni: That's why I haven't.

Rhea: Oh, I'm sorry.

They continued to talk after changing the subject as it was almost time to head to Full Sail.

3 hours later*

Tyler was showered up and back at home, packing his bag for tonights show.

As he sorted out his gear, he got nervous and excited at the same time.

He wasn't wrestling sadly but walking out with an ally.

All packed up, he got a text message from Toni saying that she was downstairs.

She wanted to car pool and she picked first, even though Tyler insisted she obliged.

Tyler grabbed his bag and locked his apartment and walked down to see Toni in her new car.

She rolled up in a all blackout jeep wrangler.

He smiled and jumped into the passenger seat, looking at her he saw Toni just waving her hands around; trying to impress him.

Tyler: You have great taste.

Toni: Do I now?

Tyler: I was going to sell my truck and buy a blacked out wrangler as well.

Toni: I know, I remember you telling me years ago.

He then slumped over and gave her that look.

Tyler: You're dirty.

Toni: I just beat you to it!

She laughed and they both headed to the new house, Full Sail University.

40 minutes later*

They both had to drive through the late night traffic, and were worried that they would be late.

But as soon as they pulled into the back, he got out and grabbed both of their bags and they walked in together.

Toni couldn't stop getting goosebumps as they walked side by side.

They were joking around a little until they reached the womens locker room.

Tyler: Jeeze, they need three locker rooms?

Toni: Well..

She opened it and saw alot of the women sitting around, waiting for the show to start.

Tyler: I see now.

Toni: I'll see you later?

He nodded and watched her walk in and close the door.

Tyler then continued to the men's locker room until he was stopped by Triple H.

Hunter: Oh good, you're finally here!

Tyler: Yeah sorry, lots of traffic.

Hunter: No that's fine, but were in a rush. We need you out to the ring.

Tyler: Sure thing.

He slipped his bags into his locker room and followed Hunter and his agent.

They slipped through gorilla and went through the curtain to reveal the infamous sight, the NXT ring.

It was surrounded by empty bleachers that soon will fill a sold out venue.

He got goosebumps as he's always wanted to walk down this ramp, and slide into that ring.

Hunter walked around the ring while Tyler stood in the ring with Aleister Black.

They were making a storyline for them two to team up.

While the script was going over, the production team were playing everyone's titron themes and they were going through them like wild fire.

Just making sure that they all worked correctly, and that's when they landed Toni's theme.

He couldn't stop watching as the huge screen played her theme, which he thought was badass.

And then they played his next, and man did Tyler love it.

Tyler: Woah..

Hunter: Great, right?

Tyler: Oh yeah!

But they went back to rehearsing until it was almost time to open the doors.

Aleister and Tyler shook hands as both were on board.

NXT*

Tyler was standing in gorilla as Aleister was having his Championship defense promo.

The crowd was hyped as they were excited that he's still staying champ.

Aleister: I didn't do it alone, another soul rolled through and guided me out of harm's way..

He was then interrupted by Undisputed Era walking out in full force.

All four members had chairs and Adam just laughed.

Adam: Listen, Aleister.. if you didn't have that Demon roll through and pull the ref out; then chain us all up.

Aleister: Nothing would've happend if you didn't make the soul summon.

Adam: Do you hear this guy?.. he's blaming us.

He asked to all the members as they all ran at him, but they were interrupted by Tyler's theme hitting and the crowd cheering.

Ty walked out to the arena and held his hand out, then pulling it down as the lights dimmed.

Tyler: You.. dark lost souls seek attention.

Adam turned around and tried to swing at Tyler, but he dodged and took the chair away.

He threw it to the back of the ramp and went after Fish and O'riley.

Aleister had hit Roderick with the NXT title and after helping Ty throw out the other members, they stood in the ring side by side; staring at a injured Undisputed Era.

Cole was yelling at them as the cameras cut for the commercial break.

Everyone then went backstage and the two demented souls walked back together.

After the second recording*

Tyler was hanging out in the men's locker room as they had a TV in there showing the show live.

That was the only way you could see it live without being in the crowd.

Tonight, they were announcing the bracket for the second running of the Mae Young Classic.

And all Toni had to do was stand face to face while they line everyone up.

They all took pictures fighting style until the show was over.

Another 30 minutes later*

Tyler was all packed and waiting on his phone as he got a facetime call.

Tyler: Hey..

Scarlett: Hi..

It was a bit awkward as they haven't talked in a long time, they text back and forth but have been too busy.

Tyler: You look exhausted.

Scarlett: This tour has wore me out.

Tyler: Yeah.. how are you?

Scarlett: I'm good, missing you alot.

While she was talking, he got distracted by a text that Toni sent him.

Toni: I'm ready, are you?

Tyler: Yes ma'am, I'll be down.

Scarlett was still talking as he grabbed his bag and left the locker room.

As he saw Toni standing by the back door, he then followed her back to her car.

Scarlett: Are you listening?

Tyler: Yes.

Scarlett: What did I say?

Tyler: Ring of Honor is killing you.

Scarlett: Ok, just making sure; you look like you're not invested in this.

Tyler: I am, especially since we never see each other.

Scarlett: Aww.

She kept talking as Toni and Tyler left the Full Sail parking lot and were on the road.

30 minutes later*

They pulled up to his apartment complex and she turned the truck off.

At this point, Tyler was finally finished talking with Scarlett.

It wasn't much as she just complained the whole time about her new spot.

Tyler doesn't see them getting any better as the conversations don't go anywhere, he doesn't see the love spark that they had before he signed with WWE.

Walking up to his door*

Tyler unlocked the door and kicked it open as Toni was about to leave.

Toni: I'm going to head home.

Tyler: Hey wait.

She turned around and looked at him as he had more.

Tyler: You wanna hang for a while?

Toni: Really?

Tyler: Why not? It'll be like old times.

She smiled at him and he grabbed her bag as they walked inside.

An hour later*

Both Tyler and Toni were showered and changed into the lounge clothes they have and were sitting on the couch watching a movie.

He bought a case of beer the night before since he's always wanted to have people over.

Tyler: Hey.

Toni: Sup?

Tyler: Can you help me?

Toni: With what?

Tyler: Look. Points at all the walls* There bare.

She smiled and smacked his leg, Toni got up and walked around to all the pictures he had and started hanging them up.

He was suprised on how quick she was going, but she then stopped at one big picture

Tyler: What's up?

Toni: Its just this picture.

The picture she was talking about was the one time only they've all wrestled together.

Tyler, Will, Bea and Toni were on all four of the turnbuckles celebrating their win.

She took out her phone and took a picture of it as she's never seen it before.

But Toni grabbed it, and walked over to his living room where she hung it up right where everyone could see it.

Tyler: ...

Toni: Alright, I think you're pretty much set now.

Tyler: Wow, you did a great job.

Toni: I know.

She smiled as they grabbed another beer and sat in the living room, another movie was starting but he had another idea.

Tyler: Wanna bet?

Toni: Oh no.

Tyler: C'mon, I know you do.

What he was talking about was when they both were in Progress full time, Tyler would always a deck of cards on him.

And randomly he would pull them out to play blackjack with everyone.

Everytime he played against Toni, she would lose.

Tyler: C'mon..

Toni: Uhg..

She sat on the ground of his living room and he sat across from her.

He was flipping them around and she had her two cards.

Toni: Alright, how much are we talking about?

Tyler: Nothing for now, let me get warmed up.

That made him chuckle a little and he dealt her cards, she had 19.

Tyler: Now?

Toni: I'm staying.

He flipped his over and he had 21.

Tyler: Ohh, tough luck.

Toni: Uhg.

He took her cards and Toni upped the stakes.

Toni: I'll make a bet.

Tyler: Shoot.

Toni: If you win then I'll clean your apartment.

Tyler: You'll clean my apartment? My apartment that's already clean.

Toni: Is it?

She took her finger and ran it over a table to show that it was a little dusty.

Tyler: Ok fine, now what happens if you win?

Toni: You give me your magical massage, whenever I want. No matter where we are.

Tyler: Really?

She smiled as she stumped him, he was thinking of a proposition but couldn't think of anything.

Toni: Or you could give me a hundred dollars.

Tyler: Ok, massage it is then.

They shook each other's hands and he dealt her cards.

She then had a ten and a nine, and that made her smile.

Toni: poker face*

Tyler: What are you doing?

Toni: Hit me.

Tyler: Are you sure?

Toni: Hit.. me.

Tyler smiled and gave her third card, what she got was a two.

She totaled to twenty one, and that shocked Tyler as she had the perfect amount.

Tyler tried to tie her, but he busted at hitting twenty three.

Toni: Haha!!

Tyler: No way

Toni: I won a message!!

She jumped up and was gloating, and Tyler couldn't believe his eyes.

Another hour later*

Both were going on their fourth beer and he could tell that Toni was getting a little tipsy.

The clock just hit midnight and both were exhausted after a long day.

Toni: So.. now what.

Tyler: You're not driving.

Toni: No- n.. no I'm fine.

She fell into his arms and giggled, and he could tell that she couldn't.

Tyler: You can stay here.

Toni: The couch is nice.

Tyler: You know I dont make the women sleep on the couch, you take my bed. I'll sleep on the couch.

He helped her into his room and she laid down, Tyler then pulled the covers up and Toni smiled.

Toni: You're the best.

She then finger waved and he leaned down to her as she kissed his cheek.

When he stood up she fell asleep, and he was a little shocked that she kissed him.

But he didn't do anything about it as he walked to the door and shut off the light.

He then closed the door and grabbed a blanket from the closest.

Tyler then walked into the living room and laid down on the couch.

He then fell asleep moments later as Scarlett was blowing up his phone.

Tyler couldn't stop dreaming about the past with Toni, the matches, the memories.

He loved it all.
