My Name is Tord Larssin and I'm a trans male- trans AU
A/N I'm not Trans myself, though I do have a trans friend. If I get anything wrong, please let me know in the comments. Also this is slightly based off of This is Home by Cavetown in the beginning.
Tori wiped her eyes on her bed. The mirror laid on the ground shattered with one or two more bullets than necessary. She had gotten out of the shower, only to be greeted by the sight of her own reflection.
It was the reflection of someone she hated.
Her long hair had dried by now and her body was unclothed and ugly at least to her standards. To tell you the truth, Tori hated everything about her physical appearance. She even hated her name. She wanted to be a he.
Was that too much to ask?
She didn't want the sacks of fat hanging from her chest. She didn't want the wide hips and the round bottom. She didn't want to be called Tori. She didn't want to be referred to as she.
Worst of all, she could never imagine telling her friends.
She knew her parents supported her. They had told her that they would take care of all her expenses. Testosterone, bottom and top surgery, new clothes, everything! But that didn't mater if her friends didn't accept her as well.
Matilda loved having a girl in the house that she could dress up. The others just didn't understand. How would she react when she learned that Tori was also a boy? Matilda would be crushed.
Tori wasn't really worried about Ell. She was one of the nicest people Tori knew and the most accepting being Pansexual herself.
And then there was Tom.
The only boy in the house, according to Ell and Matilda.
Tori's long term crush.
How would Tom react when he learned that a Trans boy like him? Was he even gay? He would have to accept the LGBT community, living with Ell, a shy pansexual, and Matilda, a raging lesbian, but does he accept Transgenders? Did Tori really want to find out?
She sighed and looked at herself. She couldn't fall in love anyway. Not when she was still a girl in the eyes of so many. But maybe this avoids the stress of falling out of it.
She walked into the kitchen wearing baggy sweatpants and a mans hoodie. She only wore boy sizes. She didn't wear makeup either unless Matilda put some on her. No one in the house asked why.
She had brushed out her thick hair, pulling up the top part into a small pony tail at the top of her head. It stuck up just slightly and the horns at the front stood proudly. The bottom of her hair flipped out slightly. She imagined that if she had short hair, it would flick out and stick up even more than it does now.
All her friends laughed and greeted her. Tom's eyes lingering longer than the others. Are you tired of me yet? She thought to herself. She felt sick to her stomach as she thought about never coming out to them. In that moment she made a promise.
I am going to come out to them, and even if they don't accept me, I will still be here for them.
That night, she stood in front of the new mirror Ell had just bought her. It was movie night. She had big plans.
She had just called her parents, telling them that she's gonna need money for Testosterone and for binders. She even told them that she'll get the surgery soon, and to make sure they have the money for it. They seemed happy she was finally coming out.
She raised the scissors shakily and began to snip and the long strands of hair. She styled it just like she had imagined it so many times. Tears sprung in her eyes when she saw what she looked like. She looked like how she always wanted to.
She was finally taking the first steps to becoming Tord Larssin.
After that She found the bandages she had stashed under he bed just for this moment. She knew she shouldn't do this, but it was only a one time thing.
Then she slid on her red hoodie and some black jeans she bought in the men department. She hadn't worn them until now.
When she looked in the mirror she was satisfied. She no longer looked so much like a she.
"My name is Tord Larssin, and I am a trans male." She, no, He spoke confidently, rehearsing what he was going to say to his friends. "Now or never." He mumbled to himself before strutting into the living room.
He stood in front of the TV blocking everyone's view. "whats with the new look Tori?" asked Matilda, looking confused. Yeah, wassup with that?" Tom also questioned. Tord took a deep breath, "Hallo, My name is Tord Larssin, and I'm a trans male."
Ell screamed. "Oh my god! You should've told us sooner Tord! Let's go shopping right now!" Matilda was nodding vigorously. "Please tell me I can still dress you up! I've never gotten the chance to dress up a boy before!"
Tord smiled, tears in his eyes. This is so much better than he imagined. How lucky does he have to be? But there was still something missing.
"Tom..?"
Tom stood up soundlessly and slowly grabbed Tord's hands. "Well, since everyone seems to have came out, I need to too. I'm Bisexual and Tord, I fell in love with you. Not for your body or looks, but with you in general. You're still the person I love and the person our friends love, and since you're still human, will you make me the happiest man alive and become my boyfriend.
Tord nodded as fast as he could manage and jumped into Tom's arms. "Oh and, my parents are taking care of the surgeries and hormone prices, so you won't have to worry about that."
Matilda rolled her eyes, "Whatever, but we totally have to go shopping right now!"
And so they did.
As time went by Tord began to really look like the person he's always wanted to be. He's even dating Tom! He really was lucky to have such supporting and understanding friends and family. No one could even tell he was once a girl unless he told them. He started getting press coverage after the reporters found out that the infamous red leader was trans.
He was famous in the community for being who he was while being in political power. Life was good.
Now he stood before a stage, ready to give his speech on what it was like to be trans male. He walked up to the microphone as the lights shined on him. He had practiced this speech over and over, ready to tell the world his story and how he got where he is today, and then proceed to tell the world how they can make a difference too. No matter who they are or what they are, they can be someone great.
He tapped the microphone and took a deep breath.
"Hallo, my name is Tord Larssin, and I'm a trans male."
