Aaron Burr, Sir

Ava's P.O.V

Myself, John, Lafayette and Mulligan were walking down the street we were all wearing our normal attire.

(A/N her outfit is pictured above but she also wore red leather boots)

John had a comforting hand placed on my shoulder as we walked down the street in our little group we, myself and John, got some nasty looks from passersby. I was used to these looks and learned to ignore them but I always had a feeling that John could do better then someone of my heritage. You see I am a 24 year old African-American woman and he was a 25 year old American gentleman. Almost as if he could sense my worry I felt him squeeze my shoulder before pulling me into a side hug. I smile as I rest my head on his shoulder out of the corner of my eye I see Lafayette smiling at us whilst Mulligan glares at the people who were glaring at us.

We soon come to the bar that we were headed to we had all been talking about the revolution before we had set off we had been wanting to join and despite me being a lady I had managed to join as well. John turns to me and smiles widely.

Laurens:Yo yo yo yo yo
What time is it?

Laurens, Mulligan, Ava, Lafayette: Show time!

We all throw our hands in the air and cheer as I go and buy us all a round and place the beers on the table.

Laurens: Show time, show time! Yo, I'm John Lauren's in the place to be Two pints o' Sam Adams, but I'm workin' on three, uh. Those redcoats don't want it with me 'Cause I will pop chick-a pop these cops till I'm free!

I smile and chuckle at his antics as he slams his mug down.

Lafayette: Oui oui, mon ami, je m'appelle Lafayette.

At this point he wraps an arm around my shoulder and winks at me raising both his eyebrows. But all of our group knew he never meant anything by his or Mulligan's flirting as they both knew I was happily with John.

Lafayette: The Lancelot of the revolutionary set. I came from afar just to say bonsoir. Tell the king casse-toi. Who's the best, c'est moi.

Mulligan: Brrrah, brraaah I am Hercules Mulligan. Up in it, lovin' it, yes I heard ya mother said come again. Ay, lock up ya daughters and horses, of course. It's hard to have intercourse over four sets of corsets.

I raise my eyebrows and murmer slightly mockingly. "wow" when John cuts in holding his mug and handing me my mug.

Laurens: No more sex, pour me another brew, son. Let's raise a couple more...

Laurens, Ava, Mulligan, Lafayette: To the revolution!

That's when I notice Aaron Burr sitting at the bar I stand up and walk over to him.

Ava: Well, if it ain't the prodigy of Princeton college. Aaron Burr. Give us a verse, drop some knowledge

My friends had followed me other and John was stood next to me smirking as Aaron looked at us unimpressed.

Aaron: Good luck with that, you're takin' a stand. You spit, I'm 'a sit. We'll see where we land

Laurens glares at Burr walking forward and exclaimed.

Laurens: Burr, the revolution's imminent, what do you stall for?

Suddenly a new voice speaks up a young man sat next to Burr.

Alexander: If you stand for nothing Burr, what'll you fall for?

We all look at him intrigued at him entering this conversation.

Ava Laurens, Lafayette, Mulligan: Oh, who are you oh, who are you oh, who are you? Oh, who is this kid, what's he gonna do?
