Each night, you are to sleep.
Each night, you are to enter the Somnium.
Each night, you will no longer be aware of reality.
Each night, you will train.
Each night, you will be beaten.
Each night, you may die.

In 2078, intelligence began to become valued above all else. Creativity was no longer something humans looked for in another person, nor was personality or even skill.
Those who had not been gifted with the world's standard definition of intelligence were looked down upon. They were segregated from the rest of society and were avoided as if they had the plague.

Behind the scenes of all of this worldly unrest, multiple governmental scientists had come together in secret. With hopes to reach new worlds, they worked and works for years on end.
It is now 2132, and their project is complete.

With the name SOMNIUM, they have selected a mass of students among the unintelligent.
They plan to send these students to the land they have developed in order to train them for a detected threat.

But there's one catch - the training will not be the world's warfare.
The training will be purely magic.
