3rd P.O.V.

The Next Day...

Tomo and Misuzu are hanging around on the rooftop during free period. Mizuru was asking Tomo about Y/n and the relationship between her and him.

Misuzu: So, what your history with the new transfer student. What was his name... Y/n was it?

Tomo: Oh, Y/n... you see, me and him are childhood friends from where I used to live before moving here with my parents. Our parents are actually close friends from their high school years so that how me and Y/n met when we were kids.

Misuzu: That explains your weird behavior from yesterday. What about him having scars on his face was he always a troublemaker? And if he is then I don't want you hanging out with him anymore.

Tomo: No! He's nothing like that I promise you. Y/n is a nice and caring person. Back when we were kids, he couldn't defend himself against bullies, so I had to step in for him. He explained to me after I moved away, he started learning martial arts in order to defend himself. I was surprised when he told me, he became a black belt.

Misuzu: Is that so... well I'll be honest I still find him suspicious.

Tomo: Don't be like that! Y/n is a good person, I'm sure you'll like him if you get to know him.

Misuzu: Yeah... no.

Tomo: Harsh?

They heard the rooftop door open as Y/n stepped into view.

Y/n: Hey, Tomo! There you are, I was looking all over for you.

Tomo: Hey, Y/n!

Y/n walk over to the two, noticing Mizuru staring at him intensely.

Y/n: Hi?

Misuzu: ....

Tomo: Mizuru, don't be rude to him.

Misuzu: Fine... Hello, Y/n.

Y/n: Ok then...

Y/n lean in to whisper to Tomo's ear.

Y/n: Is she always like this?

Tomo: Yeah, don't let it bother you that much. She is like this to everyone.

Misuzu: You know I'm still here and I heard what you just said.

The two backed away in surprise that she heard them.

Y/n: Haven't you heard of privacy!?

Tomo: Don't be a peeping tom, Mizuru!

Misuzu: Who are you calling a peeping tom?

Later....

After 15 minutes of talking, Mizuru got a better understanding of Y/n and Tomo history together but still is suspicious about him.

Y/n: So, yeah after Tomo moved away from our hometown. I decided to take martial arts so I can defend myself against bullies but at the same feeling close to her.

Tomo blush after hearing the last part.

Tomo: *thought* He wanted to feel close to me? Wow~!

Misuzu: Uh huh, I get it now. And those scars are from the sparring matches you had with other students.

Y/n: Exactly.

Misuzu: However, that part doesn't make sense to me since I never heard of a dojo letting their students hurt each other especially leaving permanent scars.

This caught Tomo attention.

Y/n: Oh... the dojo I went was considered the best in town but they were very strict on their training. The sensei from that dojo was especially tough on us barely gave us anytime to rest during break time. And he made sure we spar one another so he can see progress in us or else going another intense training again.

Tomo and Mizuru were both surprise and shock to hear this.

Tomo: W-What?

Misuzu: What kind of dojo are you talking about Y/n?

Y/n: A kind of dojo that show no mercy to anyone especially to their own students.

Both Tomo and Misuzu was shocked to hear this.

Tomo: Why would you join that type of school!?

Y/n: It was the only martial school in town. I had no choice; it was either continue being bullied or learning to defend myself even if it ment putting myself in intense training.

Tomo place her hand on his shoulder.

Tomo: You shouldn't have done that to yourself especially if you wanted to get strong.

Y/n: What choice did I have? You moved away, I was all alone. I can't always rely on someone to come save me when I'm in danger.

Misuzu: For someone, who's friends with Tomo. You are stupid, you know that?

Tomo: Mizuru?!

Y/n: What do you mean?

Misuzu: There's no problem asking for someone help. Only the pathetic ones who don't ask for help are the idiots.

Tomo and Y/n look on surprise mostly Tomo herself after she never heard Mizuru say something... encouraging.

Y/n: That awfully nice of you to say, Misuzu.

Misuzu: Don't get the wrong idea, I'm just saying that so you don't make an idiot of yourself. I better go, see you later, Tomo.

Misuzu then walks away from the two leaving Tomo speechless.

Tomo: Huh... that the first time I've seen her be nice to anyone. Ever!

Y/n: I guess it the first time for anyone.

Tomo: You can say that again... hey, Y/n.

Y/n: What is it, Tomo?

Tomo: I understand you joined that dojo for a reason but... hearing what you went through to get strong. I'm sorry I left you behind when my family moved away...

Y/n placed a hand on her shoulder as he made her look at him.

Y/n: It's not your fault Tomo. I made this choice for myself so don't blame yourself for something you didn't do.

Tomo then pulled Y/n into a surprising hug.

Tomo: I'm just so glad to see you again, Y/n.

Y/n hugged her back.

Y/n: Same here, Tomo. And I'm glad to see you're been doing ok all these years and made some friends.

As the two enjoy their time together before class start, Misuzu was standing behind the door as she overheard their conversation a bit. She was surprised that someone is treating like a girl and showing so much concern about her.

Misuzu: Unlike that idiot, Jun. Y/n actually view Tomo as a girl and cares deeply about her. I'm almost jealous...

Misuzu felt her heart skip a beat which caught her off guard.

Misuzu: That was odd... why did my heart skip a beat?

Deciding not to put much attention to it, she left for class before the bell rang.

Y/n P.O.V.

Lunchtime...

I was walking down the hallway during lunchtime looking for Tomo to have lunch with until I came across Jun.

Y/n: Oh, hey Jun.

Jun: ....

Y/n: Ok... so, you're giving me the silent treatment.

Jun: ....

Y/n: This is getting ridiculous. If you're not going to talk with me then can you tell me where Tomo is right now.

Jun: What your relationship with Tomo?

Y/n: You already know-

Jun: Cut the crap with that childhood bullshit. I find it odd someone from Tomo past suddenly show up out of nowhere and think he walk in on Tomo's life like it was nothing.

Y/n: Why do you care if I showed up out of nowhere? Besides does it matter, I'm here and just want to catch up with my childhood friend. Is it so wrong?

Jun: To be honest with you, I don't like you one bit.

Y/n: Shocker... do you think I care if you like me or not. But if Tomo tells me to get along with you then I have no choice but to deal with you for her.

This tick Jun off as he grabs me by the collar of my shirt.

Jun: Cut the crap! What make you think you can be all buddy, buddy with Tomo? You only known her for a short time before she moved away! You don't know her as much as I do!

Y/n: And? Does it matter who know her the longest. She still my childhood friend.

This only made Jun madder as he slams me against the wall but remained unfazed.

Jun: Tell me truth! Why did you move here and why now of all times?

Y/n: My family moved here because my mom and dad received a better job offer in this area simple as that. I was surprised to even know Tomo lived here so don't get the wrong idea or anything. And why does it matter if she has another male friend besides you? Is her choice, show some respect for that. You're not even in a relationship with her so why do you care.

Jun: Why you-

Y/n: And I know you rejected her feelings when she confessed to you or better, yet you mistook it as a simple brotherly love or something.

Jun: How did you-

Y/n: Because I asked her about your relationship with her when I was at her place and spar with her a little. To be honest... it makes me upset that someone as idiotic as you can't tell Tomo is a girl and not a boy. And makes me more upset that you hurt her feelings and made her feel insecure about herself for not being dressed more girly after she's perfect the way she is.

Jun: Shut up!

Jun was about to punch me in the face, but I caught his fist midway. Showing no sign of struggling on holding Jun's fist back in fact it made Jun surprise by my overwhelming strength.

Jun: H-How!?

Y/n: Don't think that resolving everything with violence will solve everything. Didn't you think for a moment what would happen if I showed up in front of Tomo with a bruise face. Think before you act because it could cost you everything especially your friendship.

I then let go of Jun's fist as Jun let go of my collar.

Y/n: More importantly don't act like Tomo is your girlfriend or whatever if you didn't see her as a girl to begin with.

I start walking away from him as hear him slam his fist in frustration.

Jun: Damn it!

3rd P.O.V.

As Y/n and Jun went their separate ways they were unaware of Misuzu eavesdropping on them and what went down as she saw the whole thing.

Misuzu: Between the two of them, Y/n showed more maturity than Jun could ever be. Even more surprising is how he outright put Jun in his place while talking him down. Huh, I guess Y/n isn't so bad after all...

Misuzu suddenly felt her heartbeat skip again.

Misuzu: It happened again... why did it do that when I said Y/n name again.

Then she felt her face heat up noticing she's blushing a bit.

Misuzu: Am I... blushing? Odd...

Meanwhile...

Y/n continues walking down the hallways still looking for Tomo.

Y/n: Where could Tomo be?

???: Hello~

Y/n: Huh?

He turns around to see a girl with blond hair, green eyes, and wearing a pink headband. The same girl from before that was spying on Y/n from a distance.

???: Hi, friend~

Y/n: I can't be... Carol.

Carol: Yay~! You remembered me, I'm so happy to hear~

Y/n: How could I forget you? You're my best friend!

Carol: Friend~ Friend~ Friend~

Carol start walking towards him just as Tomo arrives.

Tomo: Hey, Y/n! I was looking for you.

Y/n: There you are Tomo, I was looking everywhere for you. But great timing, I like you to meet-

He was quickly cut off by Carol grabbing his tie and pulling him in a surprising kiss which caught him by surprise.

Tomo was in complete shock as she watched Carol a girl she never met before pulled Y/n, her childhood friend into a kiss. This made Tomo face turn red in embarrassment but also in anger for reason as she scream out.

Tomo: WHAT THE HELL?!
