Tommy rubbed his eyes, rubbing away the sleepiness he felt. He hunched over slightly as he held his pickaxe in one hand with his other rubbing his eyes. He glanced at the brightly lit torch he had placed on the wall for a moment as he regained the ability to move around. He hadn't realized how much time had passed as he had forgotten to bring a clock with him to make sure he was on time.
He continued onward, the torch being taken back into his hand as he dragged his body through the mob infested cave. He was only after one thing... gold. It was the last thing he had needed for the presents he was making for the family.
Despite being loud and annoying... and seemingly selfish... Tommy often left them small gifts and pretended he never made them. His first gift was a month after he started calling them family, about two months after Phil had found and saved him from his death at nine. He had simply made them all small bits of wearable materials... Phil had gotten a necklace with a little heart with a 'hardcore' streak going through it. The 'hardcore' streak was just a symbol to anyone who risks it all and will face anything if it meant their loved once's were safe. Wilbur had gotten a knitted red beanie hat he mainly wears. Lastly, Techno... techno had gotten a small crown with some of the leftover gold Tommy had before he was adopted into their family.
Tommy shook his head, focusing on the path ahead and not too much on the first gifts he remembers. He tripped over a small rock on the ground, thankfully, he caught himself as he leaned his weight on the arm holding him up by the wall. He breathed out and felt a buzz trickle up his arm in a shockwave. He gasped before stirring his pickaxe away into his pocket, pulling up his sleeve. His communicator wrapped comfortably around his arm as he turned it on to check there was quite a few messages.
He scanned over them to see they were panicked messages from his family. Techno was the last one who alerted him to this overwhelming amount of messages.
Techno whispered to you: that's it, I'm coming to look for you and dragging you home.
Tommy blinked, a bit confused as he glanced at the other messages, finally seeing the first by Phil about two hours ago.
Philza whispered to you: mate... is everything okay? It's passed dinner, did something happen?
Tommy could feel Phil's worry through the commutator, he sighed before messaging Techno ehere he was. He sighed as he turned away, mining some gold he had missed on the way, and made his way out of the mine.
The teen rubbed his eyes as he pulled out his sword and, lazily, fought zombies who were set up outside the cave. It only took Techno a few minutes to arrive by horse. The male quickly hopped off the horse and bee-lined to the boy.
"Why were you mining a hundred blocks away from your stupid tower. You could've just used the mine at home." Techno glared as clear worried showed through his eyes. Tommy didn't have the energy to flip out, he merely too a few stumbled steps forward and fell into his brothers safe, warm arms.
"'M s'rry..." he slurred our as exhaustion overtook him and his world quickly went to black around him. Luckily for Techno, no one saw the male freak out as his brothers body went limp.

Tommy's eyes shot opened as he felt sweat drench him. He noticed the warm area he was in and soft music being played from somewhere nearby. Tommy cursed quietly as he realized he was home, in bed... where he belonged.
The teen swung his feet over the side of the bed and stood, he noticed he was still wearing the outfit he walked into the mine with. He pulled out the golden ore from his pocket, he would need to smelt them.
Tommy sighed and decided he'd do that later. He placed them silently on the bedside table, emptying his pockets so he could get changed.
It took a few minutes before he had fully gotten changed out of the dirty mining clothing. Tommy listened to the sounds of the house for a few moment... Wilbur was singing was muffled by the walls but his guitar was clearly playing, Phil wings flapping was heard somewhere downstairs, and Techno could be heard in the basement swinging his sword... probably training.
Normally, people wouldn't be able to hear a floor or two below them... yet Tommy could. He often hid it but the hybrid part of him wanted to protect his pack, make his pack happy. Tommy was a wolf hybrid, yet the family had no idea... he had developed his ears and tail years ago when he was two.
Yet something forced his ears and tail out of their hiding places. Tommy's tail flickered with his ears twitching. Something was wrong... he closed his eyes and carefully listened. The sounds of Phil's birds were heard as the sat of thee roof, looking out for danger. Technos wolf army barked and growled by the border of their property. Footsteps were heard crunching on the snow.
His eyes shot opened, his instinct overpowered him. He had ignored his instinct for far too long to fight the will of his mind. Tommy opened the window and jumped down. Landing softly in the snow that covered their home.
A masked male walked closer to the house, full netherite. Tommy didn't care much about the appearance of the male, he just attacked with fingernails becoming claws.
Tommy's vision was red as he charged forward.
After a few moments Tommy could slightly hear his name being called as something was gripping his arms behind him. "Calm down mate, everything's fine. The danger is gone Pup." It took a minute for Tommy to blink and return to the world.
Techno relaxed his grip on the wolf hybrid as he felt him stop fighting and turning to kill Dream. Wilbur had lead Dream out of their land and decided to talk another time as Tommy wasn't exactly okay at the moment.
"There you go mate..." Tommy looked up at Phil, his adopted father was cupping his face with his thumbs running over his cheeks. "Everything's alright pup," the nickname seemed to help as Tommy slumped forward and fell into his father's grip. Techno had let go, knowing Phil had him. Phil held him tightly to his chest.
Wilbur walked back over to his family and noticed Tommy was back not the wolf instinct he knew that was driving Tommy for a moment. "How about we get the pup inside, before we talk about it." Wilbur suggested as he noticed the teens clothes was that great for the cold environment outside the house.
"Alright... pup, I'm going to pick you up." Phil stated, as to not worry the wolf hybrid. Tommy eyes were closed as he relaxed in his father's arms.
The family of four quickly made their way inside and sat on the couch. Tommy was on his father's chest as Phil was sat in the centre with Wilbur and Techno to his two sides.
"Pup," Phil's voice started in a soothing manner, "can you answer our questions?" Tommy nodded, unable to muster enough words where it would be understandable to no one but him.
"Why didn't you tell us you were a hybrid?" Wilbur asked softly as he didn't want to overwhelm the pup. "We could've helped you with your instincts."
"H'nted... scared you'd think differently of me..." he mumbled out as his ears twitched slightly.
"We'd never pup, we won't let anyone hurt you after all." Techno paused for a moment, "Are we your pack...?" Techno knew a bit about Wolf hybrids from a books he'd read. Often times when a pup is new to a family they'll be more put off and generally not trust them. He also knew that when/if the said pup accepted the new family, there would be a mental 'alpha' of the parent in the family... despite the fact the 'alpha' may not be a wolf themselves. 'Alpha's, in wolf terms, just means someone to tell them to stop doing something they're doing wrong or to stop attacking someone. They also, to be accepted by the pack, leave small gifts for all pack members.
"...mhm..." Tommy managed out as he nodded.
"Who's the 'alpha' you picked?" He asked wanting to know incase something like what happened with Dream happened again and they needed to calm him down quickly. Wilbur sent Techno a confused look but the pink haired male didn't face him.
"D'dza..." he mumbled out as he gripped his father's shirt tightly. Phil, knowing what 'alpha' meant, smiled. He reached his hand up and rubbed Tommy's blond wolf ears.
"It's okay small pup, the pack will be safe. It's okay to sleep..." Phil whispered into Tommy's ear. Tommy didn't bother responding as his eyes closed and he welcomed sleep.
