He had came into their lives so quickly... and it pissed Tommy off. He understood the fact it wasn't his choice but being a raccoon hybrid, he was protective over his family. It was hard to trust. Hell, it took three years for him to trust Phil, Techno, and Wilbur fully.
Ranboo was warned about Tommy's protective tendencies the moment he came into the family. Yet the older teen attempted to get to know the raccoon hybrid. Each time failing as Tommy either growled and snarled at him or full on tackled the taller.
Tommy picked at his food, he listened to the family talk. Ranboo was silently sitting by Techno, being closer to him than any other family member. The raccoon hybrid sighed slightly before pushing his plate forward. "I'm going mining..." Tommy managed out as he started to walk away.
"Toms," Phil called out making Tommy turn to look at him. "Can you take Ranboo with you?" The part enderman hybrid tensed and stared at Phil with a worried glance. Tommy growled slightly but knew Phil had his reasons. He needed to at least agree to him... it was safer as Ranboo wouldn't be around his family.
"Fine," Tommy glared to the taller teen. "Get the fuck ready." He quickly left the room with his knuckles white. Tech is eyes followed him as he sighed slightly annoyed.
"Was that a good idea dad? You know of his trust issues," techno stated as Phil glanced at the two.
"I do," Phil hummed, "but I have a bad feeling about this trip. I'm sorry to bring you into this Ranboo," Phil apologized.
"No, it's find Mr.Minecraft, I can try and make sure he's okay. I should get ready," the teen excused himself as he pushed the plate forward.

The two traveled, neither spoke as they gathered ores. Tommy was slowly seething at the taller teen... he wanted to do this alone yet Phil knew what he was doing. He wouldn't suggest something like this useless he had that feeling... the feeling of something going deadly.
As Tommy reached the corner, he noticed Ranboo had stopped to grab some coal. He turned away and walked a bit ahead knowing he couldn't lose this hybrid without Phil being angry with him.
He felt his breathing hitch as his foot slipped slightly, yet he caught himself and planted his feet on the stone. He put a torch over the drop to see a rather large ravine below him. A large pool of lava stretch across some of the ravines ground. Water was coming from somewhere in the ceiling, falling down making the lava turn to obsidian. There was a patch of stone below this drop he almost fell down.
Tommy was about to take out some blocks to travel across the ravine but a shout caught his attention. "TOMMY! LOOK OUT!" The teen hear that, filled with worry and fear Tommy didn't understand why Ranboo had it. He turned to look at him but was flung backwards into the ravine. His ears rung as his vision was blurred. A figure jumped after him and managed to catch him mid air. Tommy blacked out when the air stopped being felt on his exposed skin. He was so certain he was gonna die... if he wasn't already.

Tommy's eyes opened, a groan passing his lips as he saw half darkness. Something covered one of his eyes strangely. He glanced around, noticing he was in a closed off part of a cave. Ranboo was leaned up against a wall, clearly sleeping with blood on his clothing. It was clearly not his own as Tommy glanced down. Bandages were wrapped around his chest, arms, and eye.
He lifted his arm up, taking off the bandage around his eye to see clearer. He flinched slightly as pain was engulfed in his eye. Yet his vision was still the same. He immediately felt a sense of dread.
"Fuck..." he swore under his breath as he knew he was blinded in one eye. "Shit," Tommy squeezed his hands into fists.
"Tommy...?" Ranboo had woken up and noticed the teens panic, "thank god." He breathed out in relief but paused when he noticed his fists and the raccoon features. Tommy hadn't liked them out while outside of the house so this just proves to Ranboo that something was wrong. "What's wrong?" The taller teen walked closer but not too closer to frighten him.
"I'm my eye is blind... I can see out of it." Tommy admitted a bit in fear, voice waving. "What happened...?"
Ranboo glanced away, "there was a creeper. It jumped onto the bridge right behind you. I was mining some ore you missed and glanced over to look at you but it was too late for me to step in. You were launched off the bridge when it exploded and landed in the water. I jumped in the waterfall and pulled you away before the water pushed you in the lava." The older teen sighed, Tommy noticed the fear and disappointment was in the others eyes. Maybe Ranboo was disappointed he wasn't able to save Tommy before the creeper exploded, blinding him in one eye.
Silence rang over the two before he hummed, "thanks I guess..." Tommy mind was fighting him. One part of him wanted to hug Ranboo to comfort him, tell him it wasn't his fault... the other part wanted to stay away from him due to his trust issues. Last time he trusted... it turned out better for his life. Maybe... just this once.
Tommy, despite being in pain, crawled over to the other and hugged him. He burrowed his face in the other shoulder. "This is not your fault, it was a stupid creeper. Accidents happen," Tommy was about to let the other go as the other was tense but Ranboo soon relaxed and hugged the younger back. "This is why Dad sends us with another person," Tommy started to rambled. "So if a accident happens one of his sons isn't dead."
"I know Tommy..." Ranboo trailed off, "we need to get home."
"I know..." Tommy didn't know what to do. He wasn't fit to travel, hell even if Ranboo carried him, which Tommy will never allow, the two would be sitting ducks in the dark. "I want to go home..." he mumbled, Unknown to if Ranboo could even hear him. Tommy knew with all the emotions he felt, he'd be forced to rely on his instincts. "I may be forced into my instincts soon..."
Ranboo looked down and nodded pulling the teen closer. The older of the two knew a bit about raccoon hybrids from Philza. When hey are forced into instincts they are either in a bad mindset or in times of pain they will give in. The raccoon will either fight with anyone around or cling to the person they considered family. Ranboo knee Tommy may attack him yet in Tommy state he didn't want the boy to move. Farther injuries may happen...
Ranboo noticed clearly that Tommy gave into his instinct as his arms fell down. A growl escaped the younger lips... Ranboo reaches up and brushed the blond hair back. "It's me Toms... Ranboo." He let go of Tommy slightly so the teen could lean back and get a look at him. Tommy did, looking at his face. His pupils were small, showing a physical sign he was not there at the moment, his instincts.
The teens body relaxed before leaning back into the male and chittering. Ranboo hugged Tommy closer... he smiled slightly.

Tommy had been in his raccoon instincts for a full day. He had cling onto Ranboo through the night. Ranboo cursed himself as both he and Tommy forgot their communicators home. The one thing that could reveal where they were... to even call for help was left at home. He knew they needed to get home before Tommy's wounds got infected, hell... if they weren't already.
Ranboo ways his options... he needed to get them both out of here. Yet in Tommy's condition it will possibly kill him. "Toms..." Ranboo spike up as the younger teen clung to him. He chattered to the other in a attempt to speak in his raccoon brain. "We need to get home... okay? Im going to-" Ranboo paused, how could he do this? A thought came to his mind... he was half enderman. Meaning he could teleport, he hadn't teleported before but maybe he could make a deal with his enderman mind.
He closed his eyes... he needed his ender instincts to kick in. He knew exactly how to trigger it fully. He closed his eyes and thought of a experience before the Minecraft family found him. He had been under the water, his ender instincts kicking in before he hit the water.
He breathed in and managed to trick his mind into thinking he was nearly touching water. His vision went back...

Tommy raccoon instinct was still in control... yet he waited for Ranboo to speak again. The other had paused mid sentence. The taller teens eyes closed only to be reopened a few seconds after showing deep purple eyes.
Tommy smelt a different smell than Ranboos normal one... this one was calmer than Ranboos. The raccoon didn't know what was happening but he was merely pulled closer as the other stood up. Both of their bags being collected before he felt dizzy.

Tommy's eyes slowly opened, he felt a ping of pain but not as much as he was in. He glanced around noticing he was home on the couch. Ranboo was sitting at the other end of the couch sitting there with his head leaning on his hand, he seemed to be asleep.
"Ran...?" Tommy asked softly as he shifted slightly to sit right by the other. Why not trust someone who saved him for near death and didn't seem to be attacked by his raccoon instincts. "Ranboo..." Tommy whispered a bit louder as he shook him slightly.
"Huh...?" The half enderman hybrid slowly opened his eyes and glanced towards the raccoon hybrid. "Tommy!"
"Shh! Everyone's probably asleep." Tommy growled slightly at how loud that was. Techno and Phil was a light sleeper... they could've heard that and woken up.
"Sorry," he apologized, "how are you feeling?" Tommy didn't speak before he leaned his head against Ranboos shoulder. "Tommy?" A concerned whisper of his name was heard.
"I'm fine... how many days were we down there?"
Ranboo hummed, "I don't know... I let my enderman instinct take over. I passed out right when he felt you were safe." He paused, "Are you okay?" The question was clearly in worry.
"Fine..." Tommy allowed himself to sleep on the teen once again. Ranboo didn't quite know what was happening yet smiled, sleeping soon after as well.

Phil came into the living room, he was heading to the kitchen intending to check if his two youngest were awake. He looked at the couch and smiled, walking over to the two.
He shook Tommy awake carefully, "Hey Toms."
"Dadza...?" Tommy asked rubbing his eyes as he looked at the father.
"I need you to drink some healing potions." Phil reached over to the small coffee table where two potions sat. He pulled the top of the bottle off before giving it to the boy.
Tommy drank it quickly, Phil knew by the way Tommy held onto Ranboo that he trusted him. He smiled fondly knowing it wouldn't take years for Tommy to trust Ranboo.
