So, I'm taking the moment to stop the plot of this short story series to see how this can do, because this will determine how Tom & Jerry will handle the Steven Universe villains. I've seen how these characters are handled in the MultiVersus game, Steven and Garnet are fighting like they normally do in the show, but Tom & Jerry's way of fighting is very different than any other character in the game. They aren't actually fighting their opponents directly, they're still fighting each other, but indirectly attacking their opponents. 

Like, Tom tries beating the shit out of Jerry with a mallet, and accidentally smacking the shit out of any poor soul that gets in his way. As far as this beta goes, you can only play one character at a time and co-op is optional and you can go online. And Tom & Jerry are actually one character, with Jerry being the navigation for the player and Tom being the attacker for the player.

Well, for this, we're going to disregard those and change 'em a bit. Steven and Garnet are teaming up to fight Tom & Jerry and both the cat and mouse are individual characters, so the numbers are even. And Tom and Jerry are working together instead of fighting each other and indirectly fighting Steven and Garnet. 

I like the idea, but to write it out, it would give me an aneurysm. I can't ingeniously write Tom and Jerry beating each other while they accidentally fight two opponents, that's just insanity I can't do. I'll do the ol' reliable and have them work together. So, let's begin.

3rd Person P.O.V.

Both Steven and Garnet stood about ten yards away from the cat and mouse duo. Both teams waited for the other to engage in the fight. Steven prepared his powers and Garnet activated her gauntlets. 

Tom ran at them with a mallet he somehow grabbed out of his pocket (which he doesn't even have) and tried to squish Steven with it. Garnet stopped the mallet from harming Steven and stomped on Tom's foot.

"Eee-eee-EEE-eee..." Tom's face turned red and he squealed. "YOWWWWWHHHHHHH!" Tom yelled as he jumped away from them, holding his red, throbbing foot. 

Jerry ran to Tom and got his attention. Tom stopped wincing and looked at the mouse. Jerry held a tennis ball and Tom got an idea.

Jerry threw a tennis ball at Tom and the cat whacked the ball with a tennis racket and the ball went straight for Garnet. Tom hit the ball hard enough that it broke Garnet's visor. Steven gasped. 

"Oh no..." Steven stepped away from Garnet, as her three eyes looked at Tom and Jerry with rage.

Garnet put her gauntlet hands together and shot them at the silent duo. Both of them ducked and saw the gauntlet missile explode behind them. Tom and Jerry laughed at Garnet's failed attempt of attacking them.

Tom was critically hit in the face by Steven's pink shield. Tom falls on the ground, making the sound of a drum cymbal clashing. Jerry frowned at the two, grabbed some rocks and began throwing them at Steven and Garnet.

Steven used his pink shield to block the rocks and marched towards Jerry, blocking the rocks. Once he got close enough, he snatched Jerry from the ground and had his fist closed around Jerry's body, with only the mouse's head poking out of his fist. Jerry grabbed Steven's thumb and bites down on it, nearly drawing blood. 

Steven flings his hand around, trying to shake Jerry off. Steven manages to fling Jerry off, but Tom comes back and smashes a tennis racket on Steven's head. With the amount of force Tom put into that whack, Steven's head broke through that net. 

Steven was dazed by the attack, and as Tom went to sock Steven in the face, Garnet stomped on his tail.

"YEOW!" Tom shrieked and held his tail. 

Tom turned around angrily and grabbed a mallet from his non-existent pocket. Garnet jumped back and missed Tom's mallet from harming her. Tom raised the mallet up high and little did he know, the head of the mallet was loose and fell off. 

The head of the mallet falls on his tail. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!" Tom yelled of his tail being seriously harmed yet again. 

Garnet punches Tom right in the mouth, breaking his teeth. Jerry avenges Tom's teeth by climbing Garnet's body and punches her right in the eye. Garnet let out a pained yell and covered her eye.

Steven flicked Jerry off of Garnet, and then Tom retaliated by kicking Steven right in the family jewels. Steven fell down on the ground, coughing. Tom picked up the head of the mallet and tried dropping it on Steven's head, but Garnet punched him away.

Jerry helped Tom back on his feet. Tom still held the stick of the mallet, and swung it wildly at Garnet. Steven got behind Tom and used the stick he was holding to choke the cat.

Jerry climbed on top of Steven's head and yanked on his hair to get him to let go of Tom. Tom jumps up and slammed the stick onto Steven's head to knock him out and did the same on Garnet's head, but the stick broke when hitting her head. Tom used the sharp end of the broken stick to stab Garnet and poof her. 

To celebrate their victory, Tom drinks a glass of milk and Jerry eats a piece of cheese. Both of them clinked their items together, as a toast.

Yeah, Tom and Jerry win because they had more experience of violence. As well as they are practically immortal, due to the amount of pain and suffering they both endure throughout the past 80+ years.
