So, I'm going to do a chapter synopsis, and see how it goes. This was inspired by GachaEvery for one of her stories (I'm sorry, I forgot the name). If you don't like a chapter synopsis, then let me know, otherwise, I will be doing this for the rest of this short story series.
Synopsis: Tom and Jerry meet the monarchs of Homeworld in an unusual way while trying to get back home.
Like I previously said, this is a short story series, so don't expect it to be very long. And to clarify on meeting the Diamonds, Tom and Jerry are meeting Yellow and Blue Diamond. White Diamond will get her own greeting from the cat and mouse because she's that special (so will Pink Diamond).
Enjoy my modified "What's the Use of Feeling, Blue?" to make it sound cooler and to avoid any copyright infringements if they were to come.
3rd Person P.O.V.
After being trapped inside the human zoo, Tom, Jerry, Steven and his father, Greg, are trying to find a way to escape this fantasy prison. The silent duo did not want to escape, at first, because this place provided them with unlimited food, water and peacefulness. Far much better than fighting over food back at home when they were hungry.
They were talked out of it when Steven told them that this place was for humans, and if someone found out that a cat and mouse were here, they would be chucked out of the place and float in space. Not wanting to die, Tom and Jerry agree to escape, but they don't have much to help. Tom emptied his non-existent pockets which had a mallet, a dozen mouse traps, a tennis racket, a tennis ball, a can of cat food, and some cheese that was planned to be used as bait to catch Jerry.
None of that can help them escape, even the mallet, because the walls are impenetrable. Steven finds a secret door, but doesn't know how to open it. Tom and Jerry snack on the food Tom brought while they watch Steven trying to figure out a way to go through the door.
Steven leaves and goes to ask some of the humans if they knew about the door. Jerry shared some cheese with Greg while they waited for Steven to return. Steven comes back, not looking to pleased with what he gathered.
"Well?" Greg asked.
"Well, none of them even know what a door is." Steven starts off, a bit annoyed that this place reduced the resident's minds to infants and/or animals. "But one of them said that they saw a gem come in here when someone was hurt, and she didn't even know what that word meant either."
"So, gems come in when someone's in trouble?" Greg reasons. "Sounds like they're an emergency crew meant to make people feel better."
"But how could we get them to come out?" Steven asked.
"Well, it's like that human said, they only come out when someone is hurt." Greg answered.
"Dad, hit me!" Steven demanded.
"No! I'm not gonna hit you!" Greg exclaims. "You're my son! Hit me, instead."
"No!" Steven cried. "You're my Dad! I love you too much to do that."
Annoyed that this was going back and fourth, Jerry decided to take matters into his own hands and grabbed the mallet that Tom dropped when emptying what he had on him. He raised the mallet up and slammed it on Tom's foot.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!" Tom screamed and held his foot in agony, hopping on his other one.
Steven and Greg looked at the cat, whose voice box sounds like a grown man, and they both realized that Tom and Jerry have already made a plan to lure out the gems and make the door open. Steven doesn't like it, because he is currently trying very hard to make the cat and mouse not fight and be friends. Especially since Tom always gets the short end of the stick when it comes to the violence.
Once the pain subsides, Tom growls and grabs the mallet Jerry used to hurt him. Tom tries to crush Jerry with the mallet but he dodges the attacks from Tom. Jerry purposefully had Tom run over a mouse trap, which snapped on the same foot Jerry smashed earlier.
"Ow-whoa-oh-OH-ho-ho-hoo!" Tom shouts and falls on the rest of the mouse traps. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!" Tom jumps up and spirals, limbs stretched out.
That time, the scream was louder and it echoed throughout the entire habitat. They heard footsteps coming closer to the secret door, and once Tom realized that the plan was working, they hid in the bushes and watched the door open and gems walked in, looking for the 'human' that was screaming. The group ran out and watched the door close.
"How does that cat scream like a man?" Greg asked under his breath.
Jerry was wandering down the hallway. Tom noticed that and tried to stop Jerry by using his finger to pin Jerry's tail on the ground. Jerry was annoyed by Tom's interference.
Jerry signs for Tom to lean down and punched Tom in the eye.
"OooAHHHHHHHH!" Tom yelled and held his eye.
Jerry ran, knowing full Tom would hurt him for doing that. They both ran into a room, with Steven and Greg chasing them to stop them. Tom caught Jerry and held him with one hand, Jerry's head poking out from the side of Tom's fist.
Jerry slipped his arms out, grabbed Tom's thumb and bit down on it.
"OW!" Tom dropped Jerry.
The door behind them closed, and they both heard Steven and Greg pounding on it. Both the cat and mouse tried to open the door, but it appears to be locked and they couldn't budge through. They both heard a different door open, a giant door.
"Pearl, close the door."
They both saw the blue monarch known as Blue Diamond. She stepped in the middle of the room and kneel, taking off her hood. The giant door opens again.
It was another monarch, Yellow Diamond. "Please tell me you're joking. You only just left, and you're already back?"
"Yellow!" Blue Diamond said, surprised. "W-what are you doing here?"
"I'm here to bring you back to reality, Blue." Yellow Diamond gets to the point.
"I'm fine. Just leave me alone." Blue Diamond begs
"It's been thousands of years, Blue, and you still can't bring yourself to destroy these gems? She was shattered by a Rose Quartz! The entire cut of gem deserves the same fate!" Yellow Diamond snarls, utterly disappointed in Blue Diamond.
"But there were hers." Blue Diamond persists.
"They should be wiped out of existence, not kept safe in bubbles!" Yellow Diamond snapped.
"Yellow, she made them. This is all we have left of her; these gems, this place, and the Earth." Blue Diamond resists.
Yellow Diamond sighs, unsatisfied with Blue Diamond's conduct. "I thought we agreed we need to put that planet and this whole debacle behind us."
"Why can't you just let me grieve?" Blue Diamond growls, feeling annoyed.
"You can't keep coming here forever!" Yellow Diamond insists.
"Why not?" Blue Diamond sneers.
Yellow Diamond then sighed. "Pearl, do something to make her feel better."
Yellow Diamond's servant smiled. "Yes, my Diamond."
Both Tom and Jerry hide behind a pillar and watch as both Yellow and Blue Diamonds' pearls use their voices to create a melody while Yellow Diamond starts to sing.
"Why would you wanna be here? What do you ever see here that doesn't make you feel worse than you do? Then tell me, what's the use of feeling, Blue?" Yellow Diamond leans down at Blue Diamond, and she looks away from her comrade.
Yellow Diamond stands back up. "Why would you want to employ her subjects that destroyed her?" Yellow Diamond waved her hands, making the pink bubbles containing the rose quartzes float away.
Both Tom and Jerry realized that those bubbles had gems in them, and figured out that they were imprisoned because they looked like someone who murdered someone else who meant a lot to the Diamonds.
Poor souls...
Tom and Jerry thought in their heads and listened to Yellow Diamond sing more.
"Why keep up her silly zoo? Oh, tell me, what's the use of feeling, Blue?" Yellow Diamond stood in front of Rose.
Tom and Jerry made a run for another pillar to hide, because Yellow Diamond was dangerously close to spot them.
"An army has a use, they can go fight a war!" Yellow Diamond sings more.
Tom and Jerry stopped in the middle of their run, thinking they've been spotted, but realized that Blue Diamond blocked them out of Yellow Diamond's view with her giant body. And Yellow Diamond was too distracted singing to notice the silent duo sneaking around.
"A sapphire has a use, she can tell you what it's for!" Yellow Diamond closes her fist in fury. "An agate terrifies, a lapis terraforms! "
Yellow Diamond got closer to Blue Diamond, and Blue Diamond holds the pillar Tom and Jerry are hiding behind, forcing them to flee from it.
"Where's their Diamond when they need her, Blue?! You've got to be a leader, Blue!" Yellow Diamond shouts while keeping in tune with the song.
Tom and Jerry hide behind a pillar on the lower floor to evade the Diamonds' sight.
"Yes, of course we still love her, and we're always thinking of her. But now there's nothing we can do. So, tell me, what's the use of feeling, what's the use of feeling, what's the use of feeling, Blue?" Yellow Diamond continues, with the pearls joining her as chorus.
"Oh..." Yellow Diamond leaned her hand down, allowing for the pearls to jump on her hand. "How can you stand to be here with it all?"
"Here with it all!" The pearls repeated to add more to the song.
All three of them sang together. "Drowning yourself in regret. Wouldn't you rather forget? Ooh!"
Yellow Diamond sat down the pearls in the same area Tom and Jerry were at earlier when they were hiding from the monarchs. "Won't it be grand to kill them all?"
"Kill them all!" The pearls did it again.
"Let's make a plan to attack!" Yellow Diamond smiled. "Start right now, cut the slack!"
Tom and Jerry watch in horror as Yellow Diamond forces all the bubbles to join together and leaves them vulnerable to be destroyed with a single attack by a Diamond.
"Do it now, I will allow!" Yellow Diamond beckons Blue Diamond to do it. "Come on, Blue! Cut them in two!"
Blue Diamond looked like she would attack, but she fell on her knees and sighed. Both Tom and Jerry wiped the sweat off of their heads.
Yellow Diamond sighs. "Yes, of course we still love her, and we're always thinking of her. Don't you know I miss her, too~?" Yellow Diamond looked away, almost looking like she was going to cry. "But tell me... what's the use of feeling... what's the use of feeling... WHAT'S THE USE OF FEELING... Blue?"
Yellow Diamond finishes the song and leans on the railing. Tom and Jerry tried to tip toe their way to a door to see if they could open it while the Diamonds are distracted.
"What is that?!" They both heard a pearl pointing at the cat and mouse.
Yellow Diamond wiped a tear and spotted the duo. "What the stars am I looking at?"
Both the anthropomorphic animals tried to flee but Yellow Diamond grabbed them. She closed her fist to prevent them from escaping. She brings her fist close to her face.
She opened her hand and saw that Tom and Jerry were looking at something in Tom's hand.
"What are you looking at?" Yellow Diamond was actually surprised at the fact the silent duo found something more interesting than being up close and personal with Yellow Diamond.
Tom points at his close fist, offering Yellow Diamond to look at the thing they're staring at. With her curiosity getting the better of her, and being emotional, Yellow Diamond looks at the cat's fist. When her eye got closer, Tom punches her right in the eye.
"AHH!" Yellow Diamond held her eye in pain and the animals fell down.
Both of them saw the door open, because Holly Blue Agate came in there to check on the Diamonds. Tom and Jerry took this as an opportunity to run right through the Holly Blue Agate to escape the room.
