Tom and his father were soon pushed to the side. Tom wondered why he couldn't still see Caitlyn, but his father always shut him down by saying "she's too posh for us now, Tom." Tom had heard his dad mention to some other people about leaving quickly. When King Peter hit his downwards spiral, most of the poorer people fled to other places. When King Peter's own dad, King Anthony, hit a downwards spiral it was terrifying. He killed all of the poorest people and enslaved the rest. It only ended when King Peter's mother, Queen May, killed Anthony. Then May died a few years after, leaving Peter to manage the kingdom on his own. Until he met Queen Rebekah of a nearby small kingdom. The reason behind Anthony's spiral is quite sad. King Anthony had met Queen May when she attended one of his balls. They had 3 children. Princess Jenna, Princess Mary Jane and Prince Peter. Princess Jenna was killed when one of her servants forced her to eat onion, which she was fatally allergic to. Mary Jane went mad after Jenna died and ran off somewhere. The kingdom presumed her to be dead.
Then, after Anthony's spiral, it left Peter and May quite scarred.

Tom was currently sat on his bed. He stared up at his father as he packed up the room in a hurry. "Come, we must leave." Tom stared up, confused. "Father?" He asked. Dominic turned around briefly, before going back to doing whatever he was doing. "We must leave. No time for explanations. Tom, hurry up! We must flee to your cousins in Cambridge." Tom moved as fast as a 6 year old could and watched as his dad took a horse and reins from a farmer. "Thank you again, Richard. I hope Harrison fares well in life." Richard was Harrison's dad. They were the Osterfields. Dominic gave his old friend a quick bro-hug before loading everything into the carriage. He hauled Tom up onto the seat next to him and flicked the reins. The horses neighed and began trotting.

They were safe...

Maybe.
