It was not often a woman was found upon a ship. Nor was it often that a woman was mistaken for a man. But, there's a first time for everything. Before Robyn was born, her father was partially blinded in a ship wreck. During the pregnancy, Robyn's mother steadily got worse and worse. During labour, just as Robyn was born, her mother died. Her father, Isaac, mistook the umbilical cord as something else, so, he called her Robyn. He deemed her as a boy and raised her like one. When she went to school, she was riddled for her outfit and frequently got a beating for it. A woman isn't supposed to wear trousers. So, when her ankles kept showing, she got whipped. Eventually, she signed up for a boating school instead and got boosted up to rank #1 which meant, when the next ship to leave, she was an automatic entry. When George Pollard decided to launch a ship, Robyn was allowed on. When she went to her aunt asking for help, her aunt gave her some of her dad's old clothes to wear. She'd said to walk like a pole was shoved up her ass, or really stiff. She did and nobody noticed... Not until the ship sank.

~THOMAS' POV~
"Hey, Mr Chase?" I asked. "Yeah?" He replied looking at something. "What're looking at?" He put a finger to his lips and pointed to a lad in the rigging. "Robyn YLN." I coughed. "Um... who's he?" I asked. "No... Who's she? I went to a school and had a mate with 4 sisters and 7 brothers. The girls acted like the lads all the time, this one is too. HEY! ROBYN! COME DOWN 'ERE!!" Mr Chase yelled. Robyn looked at us and slid down the rigging. "What's up, Mr Chase?" He/she asked. "What are you?" Owen asked. "A person called Robyn YLN."
"No, what's your gender?" Robyn bit her/his lip... But was interrupted by a man shouting about a whale sighting and I had to go.

When I came back, Robyn wasn't to be found. I looked all around for her/him and gave up.

A few days later, the whale attacked the ship and decided to wreck it beyond saving. The majority of the crew had made it into the water.... except Robyn and Mr Chase. "MR CHASE!!!"
"OWEN!!!" Everybody kept calling... Suddenly, we heard a very high-pitched shouting. "GET YOUR ASS OUT THERE NOW, YOUR CREW IS WAITING FOR YOU!!!" Robyn. Suddenly, 2 figures appeared. One jumped in and began swimming, then the other, Robyn I think, did a very graceful dive and swam like a pro, even better than Mr Chase, towards our boat... but disappeared under the water. A massive wave came at us and tipped us over. We all swam up and tipped the boat back over and got back in. Some of the others stayed looking in the water for Robyn. I looked through the water and saw a figure swimming up. I thrusted my hand into the water, and grabbed onto a very soft hand... too soft to be a man. I pulled my arm back and Robyn burst onto the deck, panting. "What the hell is this?!" Mr Pollard's voice yelled. "Sir... Let me explain." Robyn started to say, sitting up. Once she'd sat up, she fell back down again, with a shout of pain and a lot of blood. "ROBYN!" Me and 2 others yelled, running to her aid. She had a massive bite mark on her stomach. We ripped a bit of her too large shirt off and tied it around her stomach.

~NEARLY 2 WEEKS LATER~

~IN THE BOAT TOWARDS THE ISLAND~

"My-my dad is called Isaac YLN." A voice said. I looked down and saw Robyn waking up after her nap. Her wound was slightly better, but, not by much. "What?" I asked.
"If George asks, my dad is Isaac YLN." I frowned. "How are you mistaken as a boy?" I asked. "When I was born, my mum died, and my dad was partially blind. He mistook the umbilical cord as something else. So, he called me Robyn. My aunt helped me believe that I was still a girl, but helped me act like a boy. And it's worked for the last 15 years of my life. You wouldn't have found out, had you not seen my chest after my top came off. Isaac YLN was George Pollard's cousin. Best friends until a ship-thing went wrong."
Suddenly, somebody yelled out, "LAND!!"
