After the war, several people turned up at the camp-sight. Most were women. A few men. About 200 turned up. 130 women, 40 men, and 30 children. Most were unharmed, a few scrapes or broken knees, but nothing major. 1 person, however, was on her death-bed. She had strawberry-blonde coloured hair, dark green eyes and had pale skin with freckles splashed on top

She was very skinny.

When she stumbled into the camp, at least 4 days after everyone else arrived, Viola knew something was up. She looked too much like Viola's mother. Viola only found out about the girl when she was dropped in the infirmary with a gaping hole in her back. Seeing as the other beds were taken up, she was placed next to Todd, which Viola found very annoying. Viola was the only one allowed near Todd, no one else! But she stayed quiet and handed to the girl like she was told to. What intrigued Viola most about the girl, was that the girl had a little trace of Noise. Viola tried her best to try and read it, but she found herself being blocked whenever she tried.

It was always blocked by the same thought.

Todd had been used to Viola invading his thoughts, he was used to a constant presence in his mind. So, when he died, and had no one in his head, it was strange.

That was until he could hear the strange chanting. It took him about 3 days to work out what was being said, and it chilled him to the core.

Todd tried to locate who was speaking, but he could only get as far as a scared female voice that kept saying 2 words over again.

When Todd first stirred, the girl had a deep frown on her face. He only stirred when she frowned. Although, Viola (per request of Todd) was keeping an extra close eye on her. Especially when Todd had said in his noise "Girl. My baby. Curious. Circles." Maybe Todd knew her?

Impossible. Viola told herself. He wasn't even awake when she arrive. Though, since she arrived, Todd had been stirring.

Maybe she wasn't so bad after all?
