After cleaning herself up as best she could, she went to class, she was late, but her teacher understood, love is never perfect, something always gets in the way. Something always has to go wrong. "It doesn't fucking matter, and i highly doubt that he even had feelings for me, he's an actor, that's what actors do; lie. And i was just one of his stupid plays, thanks to you and Jacob," she shook her head then continued "just..please leave me alone,i'm tired of all this."

At lunch, Tom sat silently with the boys, none of them knew what to say, it was the same with the girls, that is until Chris came and sat with them "i told you" he took a bit of his sandwich "and we told you to fuck off" Maddison said, before y/n could "why don't you Maddison, you knew what he was doing the whole time" y/n's eyes shot up to look at her so called best friend "wait, Maddie you..the whole time?."Maddison looked like a deer in headlights, but the surprised look quickly disappeared "so what if i did? Besides, i told you, you should have done it for the money, that way your heart wouldn't have been broken in the first place" to say y/n was in shock, was and understatement "why didn't you tell me?" Maddison rolled her eyes "isn't it obvious? You stole my boyfriend" Chris jumped into the conversation "you guys have been over for months-"
"This has nothing to do with you, this is between me and this backstabbing bitch-" her sentence was cut off by a hard slap, and for the second time today, the whole room fell silent "you are a horrible person Maddison," she couldn't say more, because she didn't want to break down in front of everyone again, but before she stepped foot out the door, she looked back and made eye contact with Tom, Maddison and Chris "i can't trust anyone" she mumbled, running to her car.
Tom stood up to follow her, but was stopped by Harrison "give her some space" he looked at him and shook his head "i can't just..let her walk away from me..i can't lose her, not again, not this time" he pulled his hand free and ran out the door to follow her.
"You've got some nerve showing up here Holland.." her father said, opening the door "look, mr. y/l/n I-" "she doesn't want to talk to you right now" Tom nodded understandingly,
licking his lips "can you..can you just tell her, that i really do love her, and that, that i was stupid for even agreeing to the bet before i knew who it was with..and, and that i never meant to hurt her" y/n's father felt sympathy for the boy in front of him, he nodded then shooed him away, "did you hear all that?" he turned to face his daughter who was hiding behind the wall, biting her lip to stop the sobbing, he pulled her into a tight, hug that only a father could give to his daughter "it still hurts daddy..it hurts so bad"she sobbed into his shirt "i know..i know my princess, but you'll be okay, i promise things will work themselves out."
Tom felt hopeless, he was angry at himself for being such an idiot, and there were only two coping methods that worked for Tom when he was angry. Sex and throwing some punches, but he was far too angry to wait for some random girl to come over and quite frankly, too angry to drive to the gym. He ran up to his room and threw everything off his desk, and right above their drawings, he began punching, hep kept going until the wall was cracked and his knuckles were covered in blood. He looked at the wall, out of breath and slid down the wall sobbing and wailing loudly. "Fucking idiot!"
y/n's father had called Nikki after Tom left the front step and putting his daughter to bed, he warned her that her boy was heartbroken and she should probably head home to check on him, and the sight Nikki came to see had broken her heart, her eldest son was crying into his bloodied hands, physically shaking and whimpering and mumbling things that she couldn't hear "oh Tom.." she dropped all her things then threw her arms around him "i fucked up mum..i fucked up so fucking bad" she rocked them back and forth "shh,its okay," he shook his head, hands gripping his mother's arm "its not, its not okay mum, i lost her, i lost her again and i don't think i can ever get her back, not this time" she kissed his forehead and helped him to his feet. "Go lie down, Tom i'm gonna get some washcloths to clean you up okay," he nodded, silently sobbing. Nikki had seen y/n break his heart once before-- of course,it wasn't intended, but hell it still happened.
Tom and y/n were friends since she had moved next door when the two were only 3 years old, that being said, they went to the same school every year, they started to drift in their freshmen year, Tom finally had the courage to ask y/n to their first winter formal,
"Hey y/n..uh, so winter formal.." her eyes lit up like a christmas tree "oh my gosh Tom! You'll never guess who asked me to go!" Toms heart sank, but he had to put on his happy face, this was his best friend for heaven's sake. "Oh!.uh who?" "Chris Winters!..oh, sorry, were you going to say something?" Tom quickly shook his head "no, no was just gonna make sure you had a date too" she smiled "well, i do..this dance is gonna be great Tom!..i gotta go, my dads calling" she wrapped her arms around him, gently squeezing and Tom savoured the moment because he knew that he couldn't continue being her best friend when something was pulling him to her. "You can't give up Tom" Nikki mumbled, cleaning his cuts "mum, i.."
"I know, you had a deal with the boys that you can stay 2 months with a girl and the ha chosen y/n." his eyes never met hers. "I'm not saying that what you did wasn't horrible, i mean, c'mon Tom,we didn't raise you like that" she let out a long sigh. "But you can make this better. I know you can because that's the boy your father and i raised, the boy he doesn't give up on his dreams, even when there were gigantic step backs, and i know you turned your back on her once, and that put you in a horrible place without noticing until she came back, you see Tom, you make eachother complete, you fix each other, after you came into her life, she was back to her outgoing self, did you know that when she..when she realized you weren't going back to here the first time, she was..she was someone else, quieter, and yeah she went out but not as much, not when she was with you"
"I noticed that, when we took Paddy out, i invited her to a party and she just..didn't want to go, i haven't seen her at many the weeks before that too" Nikki nodded "i know, her parents told me that was the first time in 3 months shes gone out, been focusin' a lot on her book, and you, much as i don't want to admit the truth, but Tom you turned into one of those bad boys, grades slipping and a different girl almost every night" Nikki finally down herself, "mum.." he quickly pulled her into his arms, crying into her shoulder. Minutes had gone by until Nikki pulled away, wiping her own tears away. "Now, you need to get her back, and you do all you can to do so, you understand me," he nodded "i will mum, i promise i will"
