y/n and Tom had been married for 6 years now, and Tom being the leader of the biggest mob in London, he was stressed a lot. Usually he kept his home life and mob life as separate as possible, but its been hard recently, too much was happening and too many threats aimed at his family,so he's been working almost 24/7 in his office outside the house(again, to make sure his family life and mob life don't mix).

It was almost 6 in the morning when Tom came home on Friday, he walked into the house to y/n asleep in a sitting position, all dolled up in Toms favourite red dress, carefully, he picked her up and brought her to their shared room, then went to the washroom to get himself ready and get some sleep.

Tom had woken up about 4 hours later by a little girl jumping

up and down on the bed "good morning mommy! Good morning daddy! How was the date?" Tom rubbed his eyes and sleepily looked at the little girl that had his curls and her mothers eyes "what dat-"

"Our anniversary date was amazing sweet, i love the drawing you drew us"

Toms eyes grew wide "crap, y/n i-..i'm sorry" she shook her head "Lilly, you go see if Jackie is awake and if she is, you get started on breakfast okay? And if shes not, i'll be down soon, i'm just going to wash up" Lilly nodded happily, before kissing her mum and dad on the cheek. When she was gone, y/n let out a long sigh before getting out of bed with Tom following her "y/n i'm sorry i didn't mean to break this promise i..you know what it was going to be like when we said our vows..-" she stopped in her tracks "look, Tom, i knew what i was doing when we got married, hell i knew before i even started dating but you" she sighed and turned to him "you've been different lately, Lilly may look happy right now but she was devastated when you forgot your promise, she was looking forward to playing with you on Wednesday" Tom sighed "i know..but-"

"Can you at least tell us when you're going to be in your office all night i know we agreed that nothing that affects the mob will affect us as a family so please promise me that at least" Tom nodded then placed a kiss on her cheek "good, now go get some sleep, we are celebrating our anniversary tonight," Tom raised an eyebrow "are we now?" y/n smirked "don't get too excited to where you won't be able to sleep Tom,we'll be up all night"

"Wheres daddy?" Lilly asked, as she stirred a bowl of pancake mix with Jackie standing next to her "daddy is catching up on some sleep, the office has been really busy" Lilly nodded "do you think if i worked on something really really hard it'll help him?" y/ns smile grew "of course it would!" so Lilly handed the bowl back to Jackie, then pulled out some paper and her best crayons and began to work on a drawing. "Mommy how do you spell the greatest daddy in the world?" y/n spelt out the word for her as she messily wrote down the letters with different colours for each letter. "Done!...but i think it's missing somethings.." Lilly looked around and saw the drawings she had on the fridge "MOMMY!" she called "shh..yes Lilly?" she motioned towards the fridge "i need sparkles and stickers!" she loudly whispered, y/n nodded and lead the little girl towards the art room, to see that there were no more stickers or glitter. "Okay Lilly, we're going out to buy some more stickers and glitter, go get dressed okay?" Lilly nodded happily rushing off to her room to get dressed up. After the two girls were ready, y/n wrote a note for Tom if he were to wake up and the girls weren't home 'store then park with Lilly'

And left it on top of his phone that was on the table on toms side.

Tom woke up with a jolt as his phone rang loudly, he groaned picking it up "this better be good Harrison" his best friend gulped "John outsmarted Luke and now he's on the run" Tom swore under his breath "that motherfucker...i'll be there in a bit" with a sigh, Tom stood up and called y/n. "Hey Tommy!" Tom could hear the smile on his wife's lips "hey love.."

"We're gonna have to have a rain check aren't we?" he sighed "i'm sorry.."

"Lilly i can see you, you little monkey. Its okay, i mean its not okay, but you know i can't do anything about it so.."

"I promise i'll make it up to you my love"

"You've been breaking a lot of those recently.." she mumbled "i have to go find Lilly, i'm it...i love you"

"I love you too"

The next day, Lilly was awake early and Tom had only got home then, "daddy! Daddy daddy!" she ran towards him holding up the paper "Lilly, not now please" she frowned "oh..okay," she slowly walked away and back on to the couch. She knew that voice, its her father's 'i'm too tired right now' voice so, she would give her his picture later, she watched her dad enter his office then plopped herself down on the couch and waited a few minutes that felt like hours to the excited five year old girl, standing up a little too fast, she ran towards the office and flung the door open "daddy! Mommy said the office was busy so i drew thi-"

"Lilly what are the rules about the office here?"

"But daddy i-"

"Lilly!"

Lilly stood tall and her voice raising "i only wanted to give you thi-"

before she could say anything else, the sound of skin slapping skin echoed throughout the room, suddenly a gasp from the door was heard

Toms eyes widened and Lilly's eyes burnt with tears "Lilly-" she dropped the paper and ran towards the door and leap into her mothers arms. y/n gave Tom a stern look then quickly carried the crying girl out. Tom looked down at the paper she had dropped and bent down to pick it up, turning it to see 2 stick people one shorter than the other and longer hair, while the other was taller and had its arm around the smaller one. There was a glittery rainbow and spider-man stickers in every corner and right smack in the middle were the words 'the greatest daddy in the world' he carefully placed the drawing down on his desk next to a little picture frame with a family photo in it then left his office to go up to see Lilly

"Da-daddy hit me-e.." y/n was hugging her tightly, trying her best to calm down her daughter "i know..i know, you're okay" she pecked the top of her head "you're okay" Lilly moved her head to the side so her not injured cheek rested on y/n's chest and she was facing the door, if her eyes weren't shut so tightly, she wouldn't have missed her father standing there.

As for Tom he could see perfectly, he saw both his girls in tears and Lilly's cheek was burning a bright red "mo-mommy it stings.." y/n lifted her off of her chest. "Let me see darling..i'm going to go get some ice okay.." Lilly nodded whimpering as y/n got up and sighed as she saw Tom peeking through the door, he followed her to the kitchen "i..the mob-"

"The one thing i wanted you to do Tom, i..."

Y/n took a breath to compose herself

"God i want you home all the time, we want you home all the time but we understand if you have business to deal with, or if you have anger to deal with at the gym or something, come home late or seven days later so long as you send me a small text, but..you.. We said nothing about the mob comes home! You can't.. You can't take out your anger on them on us! On Lilly! For fuck sakes Tom" angry tears were rolling down y/n's cheeks "and i know the stupid rules about us not being in your office, she broke them but she only did that so she could give you the drawing she made to help you feel better and less stressed.."

"I don't feel like the greatest dad" Tom mumbled "thats because at the moment, you're not" she said before taking off back to Lilly to give her some ice. "Y/n.."

"I really don't want to talk to you right now Thomas" she called back as she quickly made her way up the stairs then back to Lillys room.

Days later, Tom hasn't spoken to either of them, y/n has given him the cold shoulder as for Lilly, it seemed as if she was scared to even be in the same room as him. Tom has been sleeping in his at home office while Lilly slept with her mother in their shared room. "So whats the deal with John, find him yet?" there was silence for a while "yep, he's on his way to France. I think its best you and i find him so he doesn't slip out again." Tom sighed "right, we'll give him some false safety, he'll think hes in the clear then we take him. Give him a week"

"Are you sure Tom? I mean i trust our judgment but.."

"I'm sure, for now i have to try and get the girls on board of me going, get us tickets, we have to keep a low profile too alright?" Tom hung up before Harrison could reply, then he continued to look through pictures and videos of Lilly and y/n he had on his phone.

"Whos that one from Lill?" Tom asked from behind the camera "its from Santa daddy!" she grinned while opening the box to reveal a spider-man art set "SANTA READ MY LIST! Mommy mommy look! I asked for this!" y/n gasped with a smile then a glance towards the camera "he did didn't he! Now you can draw as much as your heart desires" Lilly nodded enthusiastically then made her way to the tree "mommy here yours one" Lilly handed her mother a tiny box with a red ribbon wrapped around it "that ones from me" Tom said, as he sat the camera down so he could be in the shot as well. "Tom, we promised we weren't getting each other anything" she giggled, looking down at the gift, then back up to Tom "i know, i know but i thought breaking one promise wouldn't hurt, now go on, open it" she pursed her lips then opened it and gasped "Tommy.." he smiled "well,what is it?" y/n giggled "the spider-man ring i would constantly ask my father to buy me when we were younger" Lilly looked up and smiled "wow!! we both got spider-man mommy!" y/n nodded then went behind the tree "actually, all 3 of us did" Tom looked up at her "i knew you would get me something so i got you something too..although mine was quite cheap" "so long it came from my girls, i'll love it" he ripped the paper "spider-man onesie!"

"Tommy.." Tom dropped his phone and turned towards the door, where y/n stood "hey..." she sighed then cautiously walked into the room, and sat down next to him "i..i know you didn't mean to do it, and..and i can't forgive you for doing it, but i know," she closed her eyes "i know that you have a reason why it happened and i know you'll.. You'll do something to gain Lilly and..and my trust back" Tom studied her carefully, trying to figure out if he could touch her or if she would flinch away. "I.. we made a promise to my dad that i would stay out of the mob, but i think i need to be in the know Tom,"

"y/n-"
"Tom, i know what its like to be part of the mob,our dads.. i know how brutal it can get and i know what its like to not be able to talk to people about things so please just, i won't do anything in it to say, i just need to know whats happening, you need to tell me things,we promised we wouldn't be like them" he nodded and slowly began to creep closer to her and slowly wrap his arms around her and he began to sob, as y/n rubbed his back soothingly.

When Tom was calmed down enough, he brought the news upon her, that he'll be leaving for Paris to get John, who had stolen money from him and threatened his daughter, y/n agreed to let him go so long he was careful.

Days had passed and Lilly was still not talking to her father, but now she's able to eat dinner in the same room as him, she also began to draw again, y/n told Tom that she had stopped for a while, until the day Tom was leaving for Paris, he was almost out the door when a small voice called him "da..daddy?.."

Tom turned around and bent down to his knees "hey Lill.." she slowly walked over to him "wh-where are you going?.. I'm not.. I'm not mad at you daddy please don- don't go" she cried, jumping onto his lap and hugged him "please don't go"

"Lilly i..i'm not,its okay" y/n peeked behind the door to watch the father and daughter. "I'm only going for work darling, its..i'll be back, i promise" Lilly pulled away and looked him in the eyes "you..pr-.promise? Ple-plea-..please don't break this one daddy" Tom nodded, and hugged her a little tighter "i won't, not this time darling, not ever again okay?" she nodded then kissed his cheek then brought up a paper "i made this for you.." it was a drawing of both Tom and Y/n hugging a smaller figure, being Lilly. "Where you going daddy?" she asked quietly with a small smile. "Well I'll be in Paris for a while,"

She gasped "can you bring me back some quacksons!" Tom chuckled "of course, you be a good girl for mom okay? I'll be back soon and when I'm back, i.." he glanced up towards y/n then back to Lilly "i'll be home, home. With you and Mommy, i think uncle Harrison will take over for a while and will call when daddys really needed" she nodded "like right now?." Tom nodded "yeah, just like right now."

Few days later, Tom came home telling Harrison exactly what he told Lilly, that he wanted to take time with his family, and to only call him when he is really needed. And he hasn't broken his promise, ever since.
