"Peter, you're gonna have to..choose" Peter was confused "choose between what mister Stark?" Tony sighed. he didn't want it to be like this. but it was for the team and his own safety.

"between being an Avenger and..and y/n.."

"wh-what?!" Tony placed a hand on Peter shoulder "Peter, you just graduated high school and you've been dating y/n for a while now but..but the last mission.. you need to be focused Peter, and you weren't-" Peter didn't even think about what he was saying, he just..said it

"i'll break up with her"

Tony was shocked. he thought Peter would have fought more to keep both, he knew as a fact he could keep both because he was juggling mission and high school, now hes out all he had to do was try just a little bit harder "you don't have to do that Peter its--" The 18 year old shook his head "i've been wanting to be an avenger for a long time now mister Stark, girls come and go..but chances like this.."

so maybe Tony didn't convince him to break up with her, it was all Peters doing, but thats what Peter wanted to believe, it what he said to himself and y/n when he did it

"hi Peter" y/n smiled kissing his cheek before she sat down on his spinny chair "what'd you wanna talk about?" he took a deep breath and took her hands in his

her face lost colour and in her eyes.. oh anyone can see the heart break just by looking in her eyes "this..this is some sick joke right Peter?" she took a breath as Peter shook his head

"its..its not, i'm sorry..we just graduated high school y/n and you'll be going off to AMG and i'll be out..being an avenger, Tony even said it would be a good idea to--"

"He wouldn't.. he wouldn't say that Peter" she said while holding back tears "he told me to choose between the avengers and you"

she sobbed "an..and you chose the avengers ov- over your girlfriend" Peter tried to comfort her "y/n.. opportunitys like these are once in a life time things."

"so we meant nothing then?" Peter shook his head "we meant a lot y/n, you know that.-" "we've dated for almost a whole year Peter and you've never once told me you loved me..do you love me?" the room was silent

"Peter.. do you love me?" more silence, she scoffed and threw his hands off her "i truly hope you have fun being an Avenger Peter..congrats"

he might have been an avenger for almost a year now, the rush of it all was fun to him. but when theres no one to take care of him at home with all his injuries, or no one to make him smile and be proud of what he did after a tough fight he almost lost,
he realized the fact that he did. he did love her

so much.

now Peters sitting in a bar drinking his ass off just wishing he can take back everything he said. wishing that his dreams of being with her again will come true.
he missed her, so much he sees her everytime he closes his eyes. she was his sunshine on a snowy day and his light at his darkest hours.

he glanced around the bar..and there she was. beautiful as ever nothing changed except for one thing;

she was holding hands with someone else. someone who wasn't Peter

it wasn't til now that Peter knew he truly screwed up and won't get her back because he let her go
