Peter said, sitting next to you at the lunch table "canceling our date?. again?" he sighed "look i'm sorry, theres just a lot to do because of the S-" "Stark internship. i know. it always that Stark internship isn't it Pete?" he looked around, the whole cafeteria was silent. Peter and (y/n) never fought-- in public before. "can we talk about this in private." Peter said, you looked around and sighed, standing up then going to the halls. you didn't know about what Peter was actually doing, about the spider-man business. "i'm sorry babe..this is just really important to me" you looked at your feet "am..am i not important to you Peter?" his eyes widened "of course you're important to me (y/n)!" "well it doesn't feel like it Peter. not at all..do you know how many dates you've cancelled?..how many times you didn't even bother to tell me you were going to cancel" it was Peters turn to look at his feet. like they were the most interesting thing in the world. "Peter if you don't want to be with me you can just say" Peter opened his mouth "thats not it (y/n)! i want to be with you! everyone can see that, even a blind man can see it" you sighed then shook your head, wipping away a few tears that were on your cheeks. "(y/n) i love you" Peter said, taking your hands into his. "but i have to do this..this is for my future, our future, this whole internship might turn in to a job and it pays big (y/n). i'm doing this for us." you bit your lip "i love you too Peter.." he smiled lightly "..but i can't do this right now" Peter felt he was going to cry "well are..are we on a break?" you shook your head "no..i just..i need to be alone right now Pete- unless you want to go on a break" "NO!.." he cleared his throat "i mean..no, i get it. i've been horrible and that you need your space..just..just call me okay?" you nodded then Peter pulled you into a hug, so you wouldn't see the tears that spilt from his eyes then whispered a small "i love you" voice cracking slightly.
