Y/n watches her best friend Peter who is beside Liz as she talks with her friends, his hand intertwined with hers. Y/n looks at them sadly, he looks at her and waves. She waves back slowly and he looks away. She may be standing but emotionally she's on the floor dying from jealousy.

Y/n tries not to cry knowing that Liz is better for him. When she feels like she's going to cry she tells herself that maybe if she doesn't cry she won't feel anymore. She stops crying but it makes her keep her feelings bottled up and ready to burst any second.

Y/n tries to be happy for him but, it's really hard. It's hard to see someone that she cares for so deeply with someone that isn't her. She may not understand it but she tries to.

Y/n just wanted the truth of whether or not he feels anything for her. She just knew that she could take the pain and that she would make it through. So, when she confessed and he rejected her she took it well. She was just happy that he was happy.

Y/n watched as Liz and Peter danced across the gym floor with smiles on their faces. She smiled sadly and looked down at her phone. She was now his amber and Liz was his gold.

A/n- I thought why not write one to where the reader doesn't get her happy ending. I've been rejected before and it honestly sucks.
