Peter and Y/n were roommates and best friends for awhile. They knew each other  since they were 5, mostly because their families knew each other.

They both lived in a little apartment which was big enough for the both of them. Living with each other wasn't difficult. I mean yeah they've had arguments but who hasn't?

At the end they knew they loved each other, some more than others.

"Peter! When you're done in the bathroom make sure you put the toilet seat down please." Y/n said as she put the toilet seat down for the 5th time this week.

"I will, Sorry!" Peter was playing FIFA16 and eating some Cheetos as he responded to Y/n.

Y/n heard the door bell rang and she came down the hall and answered. She saw a cute guy who she has never seen before and was wondering why he was at the door.

"Hey, your guys mail got put with mine." He said handing her two letters.

"Thanks. Are you new in the neighborhood?"

"Indeed I am" He sighed as he looked into Y/n's eyes.

"Hey who's your new friend?" Y/n heard behind her as Peter came to the door. "I'm Jess"(Gilmore girls anyone) he said still looking at Y/n.

Peter glared at him "Well thanks for the mail."

"No problem" he said as he walked back down the stairs.

As he left Peter came back inside and unpaused his game and still ate his cheetos. Y/n thought Jess was really cute and hoped that she would see him later around the neighborhood.

For the past couple of weeks, Y/n and Jess have gotten closer since they're first meeting. Peter hasn't been talked to Y/n lately and she didn't know why. She came back from a day with Jess with a smile on her face. She saw Peter laying on the couch looking like a sad puppy dog.

She went over to him "Peter,what's wrong?

She sat on the couch with him.

She looked at his face as he wouldn't look at her. "Nothing, just leave me alone."

"Peter please tell me." she gave him the best puppy eyes she could. "Why do you like him?" he asked still not looking at her.

"Like,who?'" she asked curious as to why this was coming up. "Jess, I don't understand how you can like him." he mumbled.

"Why do you care?" she mumbled also. " Because, I don't want you to get hurt." He said sadly fiddling with his fingers.

"Hey. I'll be fine" she said trying to make eye contact with him. "Please, Look at me" she still tried to look at him. She moved his head towards her and looked into his eyes. They were red and had tears in them.

"Look, just go be with your boyfriend" he said sniffling and placed his head back down.

"Peter..." she said slowly and tried to reach out for him.

" Do you not get it!?, I like you Y/n! No, I freaking love you and you obviously don't feel the same since you're with Jess. So please just leave me alone." he said wiping a tear that was slowly going down his cheek.

"Peter, Yea he's attractive but I promise we're just friends. I love you too but I thought you didn't feel the same so I tried to get over the fact you won't ever like me." she said and reaching to wipe his tear.

He smiled and then he leaned in to kiss her but Jess barged in.

"GET OUT!" yelled Peter. Jess quickly left and Y/n laughed and they both leaned in.
