A/n- I skipped some lyrics that are said multiple times. Also, I love 5SOS so when I got this request I was super excited to write it! Hope you enjoy <3

Six weeks since I've been away

Tom had been away for about 2 months now and Y/n was going insane. This had probably been the longest she had been without him. Tom was also having a hard time not being able to see her. They have texted back and forth but it just wasn't the same

Tom🥐: I miss you so much darling

Y/n💕: I miss you too. But, I can't help but think that everything has changed....

Tom sighed as he read the message and couldn't help but feel as though he was losing her.

Tom and Y/n would also Facetime when Tom would be on a lunch break. It was each of their favorite time of the day. When they would be on Facetime Tom couldn't help but think how she was all alone now. He knew she didn't like being in their house alone, so it killed him to even think about her laying in bed with no one beside her to hold and protect her.

Each day Y/n would text or Facetime Tom she sometimes didn't know what to say. She would just stare at him because some days she wouldn't see his face for a couple of weeks. She felt as though they were as close as strangers. Each day he would feel a little bit more far away.

Even though they were apart Y/n would never give up on him. Even though it hurt her so much to not have him in her arms.

Sometimes time zones weren't their best friends. When Tom was waking up, Y/n was going to sleep. But they still waited for each other, no matter what.

Tom saw that he was getting a call from Y/n, it wasn't their usual time to talk. Curiously, he asked to leave set for a couple of minutes. The directors agreed since they didn't need him for a scene at the time. He answered with a smile on his face. "Hey." Tom said happily, "Hey." he heard Y/n reply sadly. "Darling? What's wrong?" He asked concerned and ran his fingers through his hair.

"I'm ok." She said sighing but clearly saying it through tears. "I knew I shouldn't have gone. It's got harder each day to not be there with you." Tom said sadly. "Tom, it's ok. This is your career we're talking about, it's the most important thing to you." she replied encouraging him to stay strong.

"No, you're the most important thing to me." Tom sighed. Y/n blushed and covered her face even though Tom couldn't see her.

Tom then had to go because they needed him for a scene. He said goodbye to Y/n, after he hung up Y/n laid on the couch and closed her eyes. She knew she would be seeing him again but, she just wished it was sooner.

Six months since I went away

It had been six months now that Tom has left. That was a long time for them. But, Y/n took every passing day without him. It was hard not being able to be right next to him or not be able to kiss him. What Y/n didn't know was that Tom had finally been told he was done on set. Earlier than what he had expected.

So he took the first flight out back to Y/n. He was beyond happy to be able to hold her and kiss her again. Tom then made it their shared apartment. He took out his keys and turned it in the lock.

He smiled as he opened the door. He walked in and put his suitcases beside the door. He took his jacket off and then looked in the living room. The tv was on but Y/n wasn't there. Maybe she's in the bedroom, he thought to himself.

As he then started to walk through the house. Y/n jumped out of the kitchen with a frying pan in hand, ready to attack the intruder.

"Easy, Rapunzel." Tom said putting his hands up in surrender with a smile. Y/n's eyes widened and dropped the pan. Probably leaving a dent in it but she could care less. She ran towards Tom and he enveloped her into a long hug.

"I've missed you so much." Y/n said into his chest as she held onto him. He kissed the top of her head, "I've missed you too Sweetheart." He said smiling.

They pulled away from the hug, Tom put his hand under her chin and brought her in for a kiss. The kiss was so sweet and long awaited. They pulled apart and Tom walked over and picked up the pan.

"A frying pan, really?" Tom said and Y/n shrugged. "It worked for Rapunzel." She said and Tom just chuckled.
