Reader finds out that they have cancer and doesn't tell the avengers. Bucky and Steve are upset because they are like brother figures and they storm out and run into Peter who has no idea what's going on or why their mad/sad. Then they tell him.

Y/n had no idea what to do. She didn't know who to tell and how they would react. This was the most scared she had been. Her life was on the line.

Y/n had just gotten results back that she had Leukemia and her heart literally sank into the bottom of her feet. She didn't know how to tell anyone. So she just kept it to herself.

If anyone asked if she was feeling ok she would just say it'll pass. She would have lots of fevers and she would sleep constantly.

-about 2 months later-

Y/n was staying at the Stark tower. She had been living there for a while now. Tony had became a sort of father figure towards her.

Tony was checking the mail and saw a letter addressed to the guardian of Y/n L/n. It was from a local clinic. He opened the letter and began reading. As he got further down it talked about Y/n's Leukemia and how they would need her for some check ups.

Tony was in absolute shock and dismay. He took the letter and went up to Y/n's room. When he walked in he saw she was laying in bed. She looked over to him and gave him a small smile.

Tony looked at her with confusion. Y/n sat up, "What's wrong?" She asked. Tony put the letter out in front of him to let her see. Y/n's eyes widened and Tony looked at her sadly.

"Why didn't you tell me?!" Tony exclaimed sadly. Y/n looked away from him and down at her hands. She twiddled her fingers a little, "I'm sorry." She sniffled and Tony walked closer to her. He sat down and brought her into his arms.

She softly cried into his shoulder and he rubbed her back. His eyes were then full of tears that were threatening to fall. He wiped them before they would leave his eyes.

"What?!" Bucky exclaimed as Y/n was explaining to Bruce, Steve, Bucky, Wanda, Thor, Sam, Vision and Natasha her illness. Steve and Bucky looked the most hurt and sad. Y/n looked down sadly.

"I'm so sorry sweetie." Natasha said sadly to Y/n. Y/n nodded towards her and Bucky stood up and started to pace the room.

"Why didn't you tell us?" Steve asked looking a little mad. "I didn't know how. I didn't want you to worry." Y/n said and Vision's eyes softened.

"This can kill you Y/n!" Bucky exclaimed and Steve looked over to him as if to tell him to calm down. Y/n stood up quickly, "Don't you think I know that?! This is life or death and right now I don't even know if I can make this out alive." Y/n yelled.

Everyone looked taken back at her anger. Y/n turned to leave, "Y/n!" Steve said after her. Thor put his hand on Steve's shoulder, "Let her go, she needs to be alone right now." He said and Steve nodded.

Y/n walked quickly and was looking down. Tears were clouding her vision, she walked to her room and slammed the door.

Peter rounded the corner of the hallway and walked into the room where the rest of the avengers were. "What's going on?" Peter asked as Steve and Bucky looked really upset.

"Y/n just told us she has Leukemia." Wanda said and sighed. Peter's eyes widened and felt his heart crack a little. "What...." Peter said slowly and everyone just looked down sadly.

Y/n is on her balcony looking at the light blue sky. Many clouds were scattered around. For some reason now she just loved looking at the clouds. She loved how they would always change shape but always ended up looking beautiful.

She heard someone come out on the balcony but she kept looking at the clouds. They stood next to her and looked at the clouds with her. "It's pretty isn't it?" Y/n asked as she admired  them as they slowly moved across the sky.

"Yea,they are." Y/n looked over and Peter was looking at her. She raised an eyebrow and he blushed. She looked back at the clouds and Peter did as well.

"Are you scared?" He asked and she sighed. "Of course I am. I could die at any moment." She said and Peter looked at her sadly.

"You don't have to feel sad for me. I can do that for myself." She said and Peter then got a little mad.

"Why didn't you tell anyone?! We- I care about you so much." Peter exclaimed, Y/n looked at him. "I don't know. I just didn't want anyone to worry." She said sadly and Peter grabbed her cheek.

She held his hand that was laying on her cheek. He smiled at her, "You don't have to go through this alone." He said and she smiled at him. She then felt her eyes slowly drift and felt her self fall. Last thing she heard was Peter yelling for help.

Y/n woke up to a blinding light. She slowly opened her eyes and they finally adjusted to the light.  She saw Bruce looking over her with a small smile. "Hey." He said and she smiled a little back at him.

"What happened?" She asked a little drowsy. Bruce looked at her a little sadly, "You passed out so I checked your blood work and it's seems that your body will shut down in about a week." He says and Y/n eyes widened.

She was in so much shock that she didn't realize everyone else was in the medical room. Steve and Bucky both had red eyes as if they had been crying.

They both walked over and looked down at her sadly. "Guys, I'll be ok." She croaked and they nodded. "We can spend a lot of time together before I eventually....." She trailed off not wanting to say what she was dreading.

For the rest of the day everyone kept an extra eye on her. Y/n had then spent the next couple days hanging out with each of the Avengers. But on her last day, she was going to spend it with Bucky, Steve and Peter.

She was beyond nervous and sad. They all decided to get some fro yo and hang out at the park. Steve and Bucky kept asking Y/n questions to make sure she was ok.

"Guys, I promise I'm ok." She reassured them and smiled. Peter sighed, "We just wanna make sure your ok." Peter said and Steve and Bucky nodded in agreement.

They then went to a movie that Y/n had been wanting to see for a while. After the movie it was only about 4pm so they decided to just take a walk. As they walked Steve talked about different memories he has had with Y/n.

As time carried on, Y/n started to feel weaker and weaker. She knew her time was soon gonna come. They decided to just go back to Stark tower to continue hanging out.

As they got there everyone looked relived to see that Y/n was still doing ok. Y/n went into her room to put on some pajamas. She put on her bottoms, when she put her top she started to feel really weird.

She decided it was nothing and headed into the living room. Everyone was hanging out and having a conversation with one another. Y/n sat next to Peter and he smiled at her.

"Are you feeling ok?" Peter asked and she nodded. Even though she felt so weak to even respond.

She then began to cough uncontrollably. Everyone quickly turned to look at her. Y/n covered her mouth as she coughed some more. She then moved her hand away and saw blood covering her fingertips.

Everyone then looked at her as she laid helplessly in Peter's arms. Her eyes starting to feel sluggish. Bucky walked over and looked down at her. He had tears going down his face. He put his hand on her cheek and smiled at her.

She weakly smiled back at him, "I'm gonna miss you kid." He said and sniffled. Steve then walked over and looked down at her and grabbed her hand. He gave it a little squeeze and smiled down at her.

Then one by one everyone walked over to say there goodbyes. Then finally it was Peter's turn. He was still holding her on his arms as she was slowly starting to drift into the light.

"Peter...." she said slowly and he looked down at her with sad eyes. "I just want you to know that, I love you." She confessed and tears started to stream down Peter's cheeks.

"Please, don't leave me." He said his voice cracking. "Goodbye, Peter." She said and her eyes then closed. "Y/n?" He said and she didn't respond.

He then began to shake her lightly, he was now sobbing. Everyone looked at Peter as he helplessly tried to wake her. Steve and Bucky couldn't even look at her as she laid there not ever going to wake up.

Peter brought his head down to Y/n's forehead and kissed it. He shakily held her closer to him as he sobbed. Everyone else's was crying as well but not as much as Peter, Steve or Bucky were. They were the closest to Y/n.

Peter couldn't help but think that he would never see her again. Or look at the clouds with her again. He felt so helpless that he could save her in anyway. But, he knew she would be looking over him and the rest of the Avengers.
