Thank gOD the school day is over. I was at my locker switching books to bring home for homework.

"What's up, Penis Parker?!" I hear the one and only Flash from a distance in the hallway. I turn from my locker and see Flash approaching Peter.

I talked to Peter a little bit, but that was only because we were chemistry partners one time. I've always wanted to get to know him, but I didn't know how to approach him.

"I said, what's up!" Flash's voice gets louder. There was a follow of fallen books and the sound of flimsy papers to the floor. I shut my locker, finding myself getting closer to the scene. Students were already staring, not doing anything.

"Leave me alone, Flash." Peter says calmly as he slaps his hands to his thighs. Peter knelt down to the floor, but before he could reach for a Spanish book, I saw Flash's leg rise up and push Peter's shoulder. Peter flew back with an 'oomph'.

My steps became faster as I got closer to the two boys. I saw Flash take a step forward, and I took it as an opportunity to get between him a Peter. I made sure I wasn't stepping on a book.

"Flash!" I caught his attention. I felt the eyes of the students in the hallway turn to me. Flash looked at me in disbelief. "He said to leave him alone." I told the bully in front of me while fixing my backpack a little.

"Don't get in between this, (y/n)!" He sneers while pointing a finger. I casually pushed it down with my hands. "I already am." I stare at Flash with hard eyes.

"Why do you even pick on Peter?" I start to question, putting my weight on my right leg. I waited for Flash to answer. He didn't give a reply.

"Maybe it's because he's smarter than you? And you punch him to make yourself feel better about it, right?" I get a couple 'ooo's from some kids around us. I didn't let it faze me.

Flash stared at me before opening his mouth.

"I–" "Huh?" "He–" "Oh." "It–" "Uh huh!" I kept interrupting him. Flash soon gave up and he only looked at me with upset and embarrassment.

"If you're gonna punch or kick someone, do it for the common good, not for yourself." I scoff seeing Flash turn around and start walking the other direction. Then, I turned around to find Peter still on his butt.

The students in the hallway began clapping at my comeback, but my only focus was on Peter.

"Hey." I began in a friendly manner putting a hand out to him. He looked up at me and took my hand. I pulled him up.

"Thanks for doing that." He said shyly. I nodded as I helped him pick up his thing. I took papers and put them together while Peter picked up his books.

"It's no problem. Someone had to do something." I handed Peter the small stack of papers and he took it with a grin.

"H-hey, uhm.." I felt my nerves come in when I thought about what I was going to ask. I push my hair away from my face as I looked up at Peter.

"Do you maybe wanna hang out? I know a really good frozen yogurt place we can go to." I shrugged at Peter, trying to put my confidence on me. That confidence slowly went away when Peter twitched his mouth.

"O-or if you don't like fro-yo, we can–" "No no! We can go!" Peter put a hand out to me. I sighed in relief.

"We can go right now if y-you want?" He scratched the back of his neck. I nodded with a smile. "I'd love to!"

Both Peter and I began walking out the school doors and onto the street. "So, where is this place?" Peter asked following right behind me.

"We'll walk down together, don't worry." I playfully scoff, finally finding my confidence.

Peter and I walked down the block in comfortable silence, until he said with a goofy smile, "I owe you for that back there, so I'm paying."

As the fro-yo shop was getting closer, I didn't bother fighting Peter about paying for me because one, free yogurt! And two, he already ran into the shop anyways.
