"What's going on?" Zhan heard Yibo asking as he sat down near the woman, who looked like she was in a terrible condition.

The woman was crying as she said while clutching her stomach, "my husband and I were coming to the hospital to get me admitted but we had an accident, I didn't get many injuries but my husband is injured. Please help." She said and Zhan and Yibo saw a group of people bringing in the woman's husband as well.

And from what Zhan and Yibo could see he did not look good.

"Call dr. Meng." Yibo said, and the nurse rushed to get Ziyi while the other nurses took the woman who seemed to be in labor with them and Yibo went to the man and checked up on him.

He does not look good.

A stretch was called and the man was taken away as well the blood was still on the floor.

Zhan watched Yibo's retreating figure and sighed, "Nurse." 

"Yes."

"Please take me back to my room, I feel tired."

The nurse took him to his room and helped him get on the bed. Zhan quietly lay on the bed and stared outside.

The sky was clear and the sun was shining brightly, as he gazed out before he murmured, "Is this what it is like to be lonely?"

He took out his phone and opened the contacts this was the brand new phone given to him by Simon and only Simon and his family's contact numbers were saved.

He wanted to call Simon, but then he decided against it, but before he could keep the phone away it rang on its own, it was Simon's call and he had called Zhan to tell him that he will be late, as there was a lot of work here.

Zhan smiled, well there was at least someone who was worrying about him.

After he talked with Simon he kept the phone aside and saw Mrs. Nelson coming in she looked rather tense today, he wondered if this was about the patient from before.

"You looked tensed Mrs. Nelson." he said as the nurse gave him his food and then prepared his medications, "the lady who came this morning... "

Zhan blinked, "what about her? is there a problem with her child?"

The woman nodded, "Well the woman had severe bleeding during labor and we are looking for the blood group that could match with hers."

"And what if she does not receive blood?"

The nurse said, "She will die."

"What about her husband?" Zhan asked.

"He is in an operation theatre, Dr. Wang and his seem were able to save and bring him out of danger but he is still under observation." The nurse paused before she spoke again, "What a tragedy has befallen them."

Zhan felt bad for the family, "What's the lady's blood group? can't I donate her blood?"

"She is a rare one... and even if you had the same blood group we can't take blood from an injured person it's against the law."

After Zhan got to know the lady's blood group he took out his phone and closed it to remember the phone number of someone who can help him, after a while, he dialed a number.

"Hello... I think I need a little help from you."

Ziyi had almost given up hope for the patient, "Is there nothing you can do?" Yibo asked.

Ziyi sighed and shook her head, "Her blood group is really rare it will take a least two hours to be bought there, with how much she is bleeding I am afraid she won't last long."

Yibo took out his phone, "I will contact some of my friends and see if something can be done."

Ziyi nodded before anyone could even more the nurse came running over there, "Dr. Wang, Dr. Meng the blood has been arranged."

"What?!" both of them said together they were shocked and at the same time happy the nurse bought a person in, "This old lady will donate blood."

Ziyi nodded, "I am going to the patient Yibo you take care of her."

Yibo nodded and then took the lady with him to check her, and also asks her if she was healthy,

After the formalities were done and the documents signed the nurse and Yibo took the lady to the patient and the blood was donated.

With the lady, another person had come who seemed to be her son and Yibo went to him to thank him, "Your mother saved a lie today."

The young man smiled and was about to say something but then another voice was heard, "You did a great job Steve." the man names Steve jumped and his pupils widened when he saw Zhan.

Yibo looked at him as well, "You know him?"

Steve was scared and nervous in Zhan's presence and that was why he couldn't answer immediately so Zhan answered before him, "He is my friend and works in Simon's company."

Steve looked at his CEO, his dignified boss who was here, sitting on a wheelchair all injured, when Zhan looked at him and stared at him Steve also went with the flow, "Ah, yes, yes."

Zhan smiled when he heard that, he had originally told Yibo that he had gone bankrupt and he would like that lie to continue, for two reasons one because he liked messing with Yibo and seeing him getting fooled and the second was that he hoped that Yibo may pity him and finally forgive him.

Yibo bought it and smiled at Steve, "thanks a lot for your help." he said and walked away while Zhan scoffed, thinking that Yibo was not going to thank him.

After he was the one who bought him here.

Humph!

"Um... Sir..." Zhan turned to Steve and smiled at him, "your work is done here,  am glad that my company has such caring employees who help others in need."

Being praised by his company's CEO just boasted his ego so he smiled and nodded, "Sure sir."

"Also Steve, I hope that the fact that I am in the hospital remains a secret"

"sure sir!

"Hmm..."

Yibo went to get himself a drink after he checked up on the woman's husband. 

It was late evening by the time the entire ordeal had ended, "You have worked hard Dr. Wang."

Yibo smiled at Mrs. Nelson, "Thank you."

Mrs. Nelson, "This couple was lucky that someone like Mr. Xiao was in the hospital and took pity on them not only did he arrange blood he also paid their medical bills."

Yibo choked on his drink and coughed, "Oh my dr. Wang are you okay."

The nurse said as she patted his back and he nodded, "Yeah I am... " he said, "Mr. Xiao paid their bills?"

The nurse nodded, "Yeah he did."

Yibo didn't expect that someone like Zhan who seemed so arrogant and hearty and was bankrupt would do something good, "Did he eat his food and had medications?"

The nurse nodded, "He was obedient today."

Yibo nodded and smiled gently, "Alright, that's good to hear. I will go check on him."

When Yibo went to Zhan's room, it was already half-open, he thought that maybe Zhan was sleeping so he slowly pushed the door, only to see Zhan sitting on the bed starring outside the window.

Orang-ish sunlight came in and fell on his figure as he stared outside at the sunset, Zhan had always been good-looking there was no doubt about that but right now he looked really lonely.

All alone and badly injured sitting on the bed, staring at nothing, god knows what was going on inside his mind.

This reminded Yibo of the time when they were in high school, back then Zhan used to sit near the window as well and just stare outside at nothing there was an air of melancholy around him and that was what made Yibo curious about him and later that curiosity had led to crushing and the rest was history.

Yibo gently knocked on the door and Zhan came out from his thoughts as he looked at him with a blank face, but his blank face was covered with a dim smile when he saw Yibo, "Oh... Dr. Wang, come in."

Yibo came in and sat on the stool beside Zhan's bed he was really very tired today,  Zhan smiled, "I was a good boy today, so I am quite curious to know why did you come to see me without any reason?"

"I came to check on you as your doctor."

Zhan nodded, "Go ahead."

"I was told that you paid the couple's bill."

"Correct."

"For someone like you who is bankrupt won't it be a trouble?"

Zhan laughed, "Well I am bankrupt that itself is a huge trouble."

Yibo gave him a faint smile, "Where is Simon?"

"He is busy."

"Family?"

"Abroad, my mother is getting treatment for breast cancer... as I told you earlier."

"You really have no friends anymore?"

Zhan shooked his head and sighed, "After my friendship with Simon was broken I broke all the other friendships because I had realized what true friendship was, but sadly it was too late since I had lost it."

Yibo sighed as he put his elbows on the edge of the bed and then put his head on them too as he looked at Zhan, "You look lonely."

Zhan shrugged,  as he looked outside the window, "Well... it is much better than feeling out of place." he said as he stared at the sunset for a few minutes.

After hearing no reply he turned to look at Yibo and found that he was already asleep, his lips curved up into a smile on their own and his hand moved on its own as he patted Yibo's head.

"I am glad you are here."
