When Ziyuan was no months pregnant, it was revealed that her sister-in-law Yara was also pregnant and was able to hide it for so long.

When Zhan's grandfather found out, he was enraged, but since the fetus couldn't be aborted so Yara was made to keep the baby.

She gave birth eight days before Ziyuan and named the child Micah.

And eight days after, Ziyuan gave birth to a healthy baby boy and named him Zhan.

Yara hated how her father never paid her attention, yes he gave her money and all but that was all because of Micah, he paid attention to Zhan and played with him most of the time but never ever spared a glance at her.

Since she was a child, she couldn't take care of the child hence Ziyuan helped her to take care of the child, Yara wasn't able to produce enough milk for the newborn as well so Ziyuan helped her by feeding her milk to Micah and over time Ziyuan got very attached to Micah as well and saw him as her own child.

One day Micah fell sick and that was when Yara's father came to him and picked him in his arms for the first and also looked at the weeping Yara with sympathy and gave her all his attention.

Yara by this point was going through undiagnosed post Partum depression and she wanted attention and love.

So she used the chance to feed her son some medicine that she searched on the net so that he would be sick all the time but not to the point that it would kill him, and this continued till the child was four.

One day Yara's father saw the medicine in her room and searched for it and also saw Yara feeding it to Micah when he found out her intention he was so mad that he slapped her and locked her in the asylum and separated her from Micah.

When Feng and Ziyuan found out about this they felt bad for the child as Ziyuan was already attached to Micah like a mother to her child she took him in her arms and cried, while Feng felt bad for the child as well.

That day Zhan's grandfather decided to teach Yara a good lesson he decided to erase her name from the Xiao family and take away all her right from Micah.

And so Zhan's grandfather asked Feng and Ziyuan to adopt Micah and they agreed, so Micah's name was changed to Cheng and all his records were changed.

His birth certificate was made again with Feng and Ziyuan as his parents and his birth date was changed as well, Micah never existed.

However, amongst all this, a very important note slipped from Zhan's grandfather's mind and that was to ask the hospital director to erase his old birth certificate, Micah.

And so Micah was given a new identity.

And one year passed, and in this one year, Yara befriended a son of a local gang leader who was in the asylum as well as hiding from the cops by faking being mentally disabled and was able to convince him to help her kill Zhan's grandfather and help her get her son back

He agreed, they spied for days outside the old Xiao mansion, and one day they found a perfect opportunity when Feng and Ziyuan were away and Cheng was at school but since Zhan was ill he was at home with his grandpa taking care if him.

It was on this day that they broke into the house, Zhan's grandpa knew that something was wrong and so he hid Zhan in the small cupboard in the living room and told him to be quiet and make no noise.

He shut him in but through the small, opening Zhan saw how Yara asked for all the money and jewelry and told the men to gran anything precious they find and his grandpa also gave her everything he had all the passwords of his bank account everything.

But Yara was not satisfied she asked where was her son and he refused to answer and then she asked where was Feng's son.

In this one year when Yara was in the asylum, she forgot many things due to her depression and she even forgot what was the name of Feng's son as well she didn't even remember Zhan's name or his face,  since she barely met him or taken to him or paid any attention to him, she only wanted two things her son and her father's death for taking away everything from her.

 When Zhan's grandpa refused to reply Yara got angry and told everyone to beat him till he dies. And the gang leader's men did that they beat his grandpa till he was half dead and that was when Yara thought of cutting the body to pieces and then disposing of it.

But Zhan saw everything he saw them beating him and saw them one by one cutting the dead body while he was still alive.

It was not that Cheng had come home from school and the first thing he saw was the bloody floor and his grandfather's beheaded head, he saw his mother and Yara saw him as well she recognized her son and smiled at him, but right now she looked scary as she was covered in blood.

"MONSTER!" Cheng yelled as he paled Yara tried to grab him but he bit her hand and ran outside and Yara ran after him Cheng screamed at the top of his lungs as he reached outside on the road and gathered all the civilians and neighbors and that was when Yara and the others had to leave immediately and run away with the money.

But Yara vowed that she would one day come back for her son.

When everyone was gone Zhan finally came out of the cupboard and saw the bloody scene that made him vomit and faint.

He got a very high fever that lasted for days and nearly killed him, and the fever made him lose his memory, so he always thought that Cheng was his twin that was until he saw Cheng's red folder.

Feng narrated everything to Yanli and Ziyi who had woken up and were staring at space with blank eyes she said nothing but heard everything that Feng told them, who were in tears as well, Ziyuan was so scared to see her sons like that, that she fainted and Feng broke down.

May, William, Simon, and Zhehan rushed to the hospital when they heard the news.

"Feng... Yanli how is Zhan? and Cheng?"

Yanli replied, "Zhan is okay he was shot in the shoulder and lost too much blood he fainted and due to weakness and is asleep."

May sighed with relief as she heard that and William asked, "what about Cheng?"

Yanli's eyes were filled with tears as she pressed her lips together and spoke, "nothing can be said, it's critical." she spoke.

While Ziyi who heard let out tears of from her empty eyes without blinking them as she sat beside Feng.

May gasped and the others looked worried as well.

When Zhan woke up next he felt terrible and excruciating pain in his shoulder, and he felt extremely weak.

His face was pale as he opened his eyes, he was alone in the room as he looked around and then he remember how he got there!

His heart swelled with worry as he tried to get up but couldn't he removed the oxygen mask from his face and called out, "is anyone there!" but his voice came out as weak, extremely weak, and he collapsed back on the bed.

At this point, Yibo walked into the room and when he saw that Zhan was awake he ran to him, his face was red, and his eyes were swollen, "Oh god thank god you are finally awake." he said as he hugged Zhan, "do you have any idea how scared everyone was?!"

Yibo spoke as he looked at Zhan who looked back at him, "Yibo... what happened? where is Yara and Cheng? Is he okay?" Zhan asked.

Yibo replied as he held his hand, "Yara surrendered to the police and admitted her crimes, she admitted kidnapping and trying to kill Ziyi, she also admitted trying to kill Cheng and also her crimes that she did years ago."

Zhan closed his eyes and smiled, "thank god, now Cheng will be at peace. How is he?"

Yibo replied, "the bullet barely missed the heart so we were able to save him, his condition is still critical so he is in ICU."

Zhan held Yibo's hand and asked hopefully, "he will be okay right? he will survive right?"

Yibo didn't give him any false hope and said, "we are trying our best, while we have removed the bullet, let's just pray. There is a high chance that he will be okay while the rest depends on his willpower."

Zhan closed his eyes as tears filled his eyes, "how are mom and dad?"

"Your mom fainted due to shock my mother is with her while your father and William are with the cops."

Zhan sighed, "how is Ziyi? she must be shocked."

"Ziyi refused to talk to anyone and isolated herself."

Zhan looked at Yibo, "everything will be okay right?"

Yibo smiled and leaned forward to kiss Zhan on the lips, it was a small and affectionate kiss,"yes, it will be okay like always."
