"Where is Ziyi?" Yibo asked once he came back and asked Mrs. Nelson.

She quickly replied, "she received a call from her mother, who told her that she was lost and didn't know that way home and the car also broke down so she asked Ziyi to take her home."

As soon as Yibo heard it he knew that something was wrong, how the hell Yara, who basically grew up in this city, would forget where to go and where not to go?

Someone as cruel and cunning as Yara being so careless is something that Yibo refuses to believe, so he called Ziyi immediately, but her phone was off and Yibo knew that something was wrong.

So he called four times more and when Ziyi did not answer, he called Zhan.

Zhan was preparing to leave when he received Yibo's call and when Yibo told him everything, he immediately called Cheng several times who didn't answer, so Zhan ran outside at full speed and got to his car and thought of calling the cops.

But it was of no use since Yara was Ziyi's stepmother and Cheng was not a missing person.

At first, Zhan drove to Cheng's office and did not find him there he then called his mom, "Hello."

"Hello, mom is Cheng over there?"

"No why? Is everything okay Zhan?" she asked.

"Yeah it's okay, I'll call you later," he said and disconnected the call and then at the same time Yibo also reached there but seeing Zhan he knew that Cheng was not there.

"Do you know where they can?" Yibo asked.

Zhan placed his hand on his head and thought, he put a lot of pressure on his mind and thought where can Yara be.

"Did you call Ziyi's father?" Zhan asked and Yibo nodded, "I did, Yara is not at home, and guess what Yara had told Ziyi that she couldn't;t reach Anthony but somehow I did, this isn't good Zhan."

Zhan closed his eyes and thought Yara came back to the country just a few days ago and she doesn't have anything here, no home and no contacts then where can she go...

Something suddenly flashed in his mind, and Yibo asked, "did you think of something?"

Zhan nodded and called his mother's father, "Hello."

"Dad, I need the address of the old mansion."

There was silence on the other side for some time before his father spoke, "Why are you asking that? And why now."

"Dad please it's urgent."

"Zhan get home and then we ca-"

Zhan was getting annoyed right now he was scared for Cheng and very anxious so he yelled and Yibo flinched, "For god's sake dad just tell me! Yara is back in the country and she is going after Cheng! Because Cheng provoked her!"

"What?" Feng got up, "How did you and..." He was so shocked that he went speechless."

"Dad tell me the address or do you want something to happen to Cheng!"

Meanwhile, Cheng barged inside the mansion and the first thing he saw was Ziyi on the ground unconscious he ran to her immediately and sat beside him gently shook her, and called out her na,e, "Ziyi... Ziyi hey..." he checked her heartbeat that seemed normal.

"She is not going to wake up so soon," Yara said as she came out of the dark and stared at Cheng.

The old Xiao mansion was still well maintained just a little dirty with a lot of dust on the floor and in the surrounding area.

The lights were soon turned on and Yara smiled a few more people came in nearly four people and surrounded him, these four men were double his size and were bodybuilders while he glared at her.

Yara looked at him up and down and sighed, "What a fool you are... if you think that I will let you in my son's way then you are wrong, I came back because I wanted to see him, and also eliminate pests like you...

I will kill anyone that comes in my son's way."

Cheng laughed, "You make it sound like you really love your son. The son that you nearly killed? Did you know how hellish your son's life was? huh? how scared he was to go to hospital and yet you forced unknown medicine down his throat and made his immune system so weak that he fell throughout his childhood remaining sick half of the time!

You know what! you might love him but if given a chance your son will kill you first!"

Yara glared at him, "All of that was for his own good! If I hadn't made him gain people's sympathy then do you think my father would have taken him in? Or Feng would have adopted him?!"

Cheng glared at her, "Fuck you! you shouldn't have killed my grandfather like that so brutally just for the money!"

"I want to kill him and you as well! I wanted to kill Feng's son that day as well! But that motherfucker hid him and I wasn't able to find him on time! That day I would have taken my son with me as well but that motherfucker made my own son hate me so much."

Cheng glared at her with so much anger that he jumped at her, "you fucking bitch! die!" however before he can reach her one of the men kicked him and he fell to the ground Yara took out her gun and pointed it at him, "I will complete my task today." She said.

But before she can shoot Cheng more and more people came in and attacked her men he slapped the gun from her and got up before he smirked, "You might have four loyal highly well-trained bodybuilders but I have an entire gang of loyal motherfuckers like me." He said.

Haoxuan couldn't; bring many people at a short notice so she bought his trusted five men with him who fought with Yara's highly trained men.

And Yara who felt scared ran inside. While Cheng saw Haoxuan, "Haoxuan take Ziyi away from here."

Haoxuan did as he was told, he bought Ziyi outside as he carried her bridal style and at the same time Zhan and Yibo also arrived there they were shocked to see Ziyi unconscious and Yibo ran to them, "is she okay?"

"Yes, she is just unconscious." Haoxuan said Yibo took Ziyi from him and Zhan asked, "where is Cheng?"

"He went towards the rooftop while chasing Yara," Haoxuan said and Zhan ran in and Haoxuan ran in as well and warned his men not to harm Zhan.

While Yara ran at full speed inside and Cheng took the gun from the ground and ran after her, Yara went upstairs and ran through the corridor while Cheng pointed the gun at her and shot but he missed it and Yara ran to the rooftop.

Cheng ran after her and on her way she also saw an iron rod so without thinking much she picked the rod and ran to the rooftop she stood beside the door and waited for Cheng to come.

Cheng who ran to the rooftop and passed through the rooftop didn't see Yara who hit him in the head with the rod making him fall to the ground and the gun fell from his head.

Yara tried to grab the gun but Cheng grabbed her leg making her trip and tried got get up, his head was bleeding badly.

Yara kicked his hand and managed to make Cheng let her leg go.

She picked up the gun but Cheng tackled her to the ground and finally got the gun and pointed it at Yara who was on the ground glaring at him.

"I am going to kill you today..." Cheng spoke as he kept his hand on the trigger but before he can pull Zhan came there and yelled, "CHENG NO!"

Both Cheng and Yara looked at him and Yara took the opportunity to grab the gun from Cheng's hand and pulled the trigger, shooing Cheng in the chest.

"NO!" Zhan yelled while Cheng kept his hand on his chest as he stumbled back but Yara was not satisfied she actually wanted to cut Cheng into pieces and behead him as she did with his grandfather but she can't do that she will shoot him till he dies.

Yibo who had just put Ziyi into the car heard the gunshot and couldn't help but run in as well and halfway through he heard another gunshot! That scared the shit out of him and that was when Haoxuan also-ran to the rooftop after tying all the men that Yara had bought.

So she pulled the trigger again however this time Zhan was faster as he came before Cheng and pushed him out of the way and his shoulder was shot in the process.

"STOP IT YARA!" Zhan yelled as he looked at Cheng who was keeping his hand on his chest and Zhan whose mouth was agape as he saw the wound on his chest.

Tears slipped from his eyes as he saw his brother like that and his hands shivered he thought he was going to get a panic attack after he saw his own hand covered with Cheng's blood.

"Cheng... Hey... it's going to be okay... it's okay I will call the ambulance just wait!"

Meanwhile, Yara came to them with the gun in her hand and kicked the phone out of Zhan's hand, and pointed the gun at Cheng's head while Zhan shielded him with his body, "stop it Yara please!"

"That's mom for you... and get out of my way let me kill this bastard!"

"No... you can't" Zhan begged.

But Yara only got angry to see her son fighting her for someone else, "GET OUT OF MY WAY I WILL KILL THIS MUTT, SOMEONE THAT I FAILED TO KILL YEARS AGO!"

"THE ONE YOU FAILED TO FAILED TO KILL YEARS GO IS ME!" Zhan yelled, "I AM ZHAN AND HE IS MICAH HE IS YOUR SON YARA! I AM NOT THE ONE! HE LIED TO YOU HE FOOLED YOU!"

Yara felt like the ground below her was gone and she was struck by thunder as she looked at Zhan who was a mess at this point, hand covered in his brother's blood and eyes red as tears slipped his eyes, "Please YARA, DON'T KILL HIM, HE IS YOUR SON HE IS MICAH HE IS THE ONE YOU CAME HERE FOR"

Zhan begged as he cried and at the same time Yibo and Hoaxuan came there as well as he saw a shot and barely conscious Cheng and crying and begging Zhan, "please, please."

Yara saw Yibo and Hoaxuan and said as she bought the gun closer to Cheng, "Don't move or I will shoot!" she said and they paused while she looked at Cheng, "you are lying you are lying just to save him!"

Zhan looked at her feeling scared, as he said, in a broken voice, "yo...your son, did he have a birthmark or any sign to prove that he is Micah?" Yibo at this time stepped back and went down and called the ambulance he was about to call the cops but before he can he already heard the police siren.

Feng and Ziyuan had come with the cops and ran in as well.

While Yara couldn't;t care less about anything she was already shocked as she thought and said, "My... son had a scar on his forehead."

Zhan immediately picked up his phone and turned on the flashlight and showed his forehead to Yara, "See do I have one? No right?"

Yara saw but only found smooth skin and no birthmark.

Her eyes widened as the gun fell from her hand and she gasped, when Zhan removed Cheng's hairs from his forehead and showed her the scar she fell to the ground and let out and sky shattering scream, "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH NOOOOOOOOOOO" before she started wailing uncontrollably, "MICAH, MY MICAH NOO"

Feng and Ziyuan also reached there and when they saw the bloody scene they ran to Cheng while having a breakdown, "CHENG!"

Cheng whose shoulder was lost had also lost blood and after some time he felt everything going a blurry bit since it was dark and he was wearing a black suit his wound was not visible.

The ambulance soon came and put Cheng on the stretcher while Yibo went to Zhan, who stood up shakily before he was able to ignore the pain because he was too scared for Cheng but now when everything calm down he felt the excruciating pain.

"Hey are -" Yibo grabbed his elbow and turn him around but Zhan fell in his arms unconscious while Yibo grabbed him and it was now that he felt something wet on his hand that was none other than Zhan's blood that was oozing out from his wound!

"Zhan!" Yibo called out as he set beside Zhan, "MOM, DAD WE NEED AN AMBULANCE HAOXUAN!"

Zhan heard Yibo yell as he slowly lost his consciousness and the last this he remembered was being picked up before he closed his eyes.
