That day Zhan went to pick up Yibo, Yibo could see that Zhan was not himself.

So he just held his hand, and the two sat in silence as they drove to the house.

When they reached the house, they heard an argument going on inside, when they walked in they saw his father arguing with Cheng for some reason.

"What are you up to, is it too much to just sit and have a talk with you?!" Feng spoke.

Cheng sighed, "I am just busy and I don't have time!"

"You don't have time for anything nowadays it seems like neither coming home and neither sitting to talk with your parents."

"What the hell do you want to talk about!" Cheng spoke getting agitated with each passing second.

"Why are you talking as if you are doing me a favor by talking to me!" Feng spoke while Ziyuan facepalmed and Cheng had enough so he just turned around and walked away to his room.

Zhan sighed and greeted his parents and they talked a little before he and Yibo walked to their room as well.

"Why are you harsh on Cheng?" Ziyuan asked.

"I am not harsh."

"Yes you were, he is not a child and he has a life, Cheng is our Son too why are you harsh on him?"

Feng sighed, "you know what? your love has really spoilt him so much!"

Ziyuan sighed and didn't speak further.

In Zhan and Yibo's room, "Zhan..."

Before can say anything any further, Zhan hugged him tightly.

Yibo hugged him back before Zhan sat down and said, "you promise that you won't tell him about this to anyone right?"

"I promise." 

Zhan smiled and then told Yibo everything that had happened, from his findings of the file and how he discovered Yara and who she is and that she killed his grandpa and how Cheng wanted revenge, and how far he was willing to go.

And also everything Cheng told him about Micah.

Yibo was quiet after he heard this, he didn't say anything for a long long time before he took a deep breath and said, "you should talk to him."

"I wanted to but Yibo is he really wrong? the law won't do anything since the time period is over, this case cannot be tried if presented then it will be dismissed.

My parents still have the power to bribe the law... my grandpa will never get justice... and she will never get punishment."

Yibo squeezed his hand, "but if Cheng really killed Yara with his own hands will he be able to live normally in the future?"

Zhan laughed, "I don't he was living normally till this day Yibo."

"So are you going to let him carry on his plan?"

"I don't know, I have no idea what to do. What would you do if the law failed you? if your parents failed you?"

Yibo closed his eyes as he kept his head on Zhan's shoulder, Zhan hugged him before he said, "I am not going to leave him alone."

"Yes you shouldn't," Yibo said as he kissed Zhan who kissed him back and asked, "How is Kevin by the way? Will he be okay?"

"He'll survive."

Zhan sighed with relief when he heard that.

Meanwhile, Cheng was in his room as he received once after the other messages from Ziyi.

From good morning to good night but Cheng didn't reply to any of those messages he just kept on reading them over and over and didn't reply.

What will she think if Cheng told her about all his plans and deeds?

Will she still smile at him?

Or even look at him? Will she even talk to him or see him as a monster.

Well, a monster was really what he became, he ran after justice for years and when the stature of limitation was over he gave up.

His parents never talked to him about the incident and Zhan forgot, Cheng always felt so jealous of Zhan, how good it is to forget but he has to remember this misery.

He can't even go to therapy because he won't be able to talk about his life to the therapist, after all the truth about twenty years ago should never come out since it will bring 'shame' to the family!

In the end, he just fell asleep while reading the messages sent by Ziyi.

The next morning Cheng to up early and was ready to leave however before leaving he was met with a dressed-up Zhan, "come on let me drop you to work."

Cheng didn't argue and just got in the car, and while driving Zhan spoke, "I thought about it, about everything you said... it's true that Yara is not going to get any legal punishment and after the serious crimes that she committed.

I just want to ask you do you really, like really want to go ahead with this plan?"

Cheng didn't reply immediately, as Ziyi's face flashed before his eyes and he clenched his fists, "I will be a murderer if I go ahead with it... but I don't want to go to jail, what hypocrisy right?"

Cheng's eyes got filled with tears of frustration, "a murderer in the Xiao family... haha what a joke."

Zhan just spoke, "just so you know... whatever decision you make I am with you... and if you don't want to go to jail... then I will help you as well."

Cheng sighed while Zhan spoke, "but is it really worth it? Can't you just sit and talk to mom and dad and tell them that they have really hurt you badly? and make them realize that they did something wrong?"

Zhan stopped the car as they had reached Cheng's office, and Cheng just opened the door and walked out of the car. And Zhan drove back to his office.

However, as he reached his office he saw a red car parked over there he didn't pay much attention to it and walked in.

In the red car sat Lilith, Lilith was stalking Zhan, she took out all the information about him and was happy to know that he was doing so well for himself.

She stalked his social media and even yesterday she was outside his office, she went in as well and had seen him talking to his employees.

Her son really grew up and she was glad for that.

But all that pest was coming after her son to ruin his happiness and she won't let that happen.

She was going to kill that bastard and make sure that everything only and only belonged to Zhan and he can live a carefree and wonderful life.

And then after eliminating that pest she can take slow steps to reunite with her Micah.

The day was over soon and Ziyi was staring at the phone with anger, "AH FUCK!"

She yelled and Yibo flinched, "What happened?"

"What would you do if the guy you went on the date with and is your crush suddenly for no reason ghosted you,? Like he is reading my messages but not replying."

Yibo looked at her with sympathy, "he must be busy just give him time."

"He better be busy," she grumbled, Yibo sat there for some time but then he went to check on the patients.

While Ziyi received a call from an unknown number, "Hello." she said.

"Hello, Ziyi it's me, Lilith."

Ziyi was confused now why was this woman calling her? 

"What do you want?"

"I want your help, my car broke down and I can't reach your father, I don't know anyone or any route here as well can you come and pick me up? please?"

Ziyi rolled her eyes, "Are you alone?"

"Yes, I am."

She sighed and wanted to scold her as to why she would wander alone in a city she didn't know much about, "alright stay there I will pick you up and send me your location."

She said and the call was disconnected, Ziyi got up and told everything to Mrs. Nelson before she left.

After a long day at work, Cheng was also ready to leave and give a thought about everything that Zhan said.

For him, late justice is no justice.

He wanted revenge and not justice.

But was it really worth it? He might never look his parents in the eyes and might even leave the house because he won't be able to live with those people while his hands were covered with blood.

And while he has no problem with killing Yara, what would the others think they might hate him and he would have to live in constant fear that someone will find out his secret and his family would then hate him.

His grandpa was already dead and his parents moved on while Zhan forgot why is he stuck then?

Maybe he should get therapy.

And as he was getting ready to leave he received a text from an unknown number and when he saw that it was a photo he was really shocked and his face paled when he saw that it was a photo of an unconscious Ziyi.

And he suddenly received a call from Yara as well, "now, now I think you are smart enough to know not to call the cops and be here within half an hour unless you want her dead. I'll send you the address."

She said and the call was disconnected and Cheng was so mad at her that all his thoughts of non-violence just flushed down the gutter, as he called Haoxuan.

That's it he was going to kill this bitch!
