"Starting today, former 1st Division Captain Baji Kesuke is an enemy of Toman." You looked up to the shrine as you hear Baji.

You saw him walking down but he paused for a moment when he saw you.

"I thought I told you to go home." He said walking the rest of the way down.

"Why are you leaving Toman? They're your friends." You questioned the dark-haired male.

Baji stood next to you for a moment before reaching into his pocket. He pulled out a chain bracelet that you had given him for your one year anniversary. He looked at it before handing it back to you.

"What? Why? Is something wrong with-"

"I'm breaking up with you (Y/N). Our relationship was a mistake. Go home." He said tossing the bracelet to you.

"BAJI ARE YOU INSANE?!" You heard someone yell from the top of the shrine.

"Get someone to drive you home." Baji said before walking away.

You stared at the bracelet in your hand playing with it slightly. You remembered how cool he thought it was but he tried to play it off and act all calm. You smiled to yourself but soon the tears were running down your cheeks. Mistuya walked down the steps of the shrine and walked over to you. He wrapped an arm around you pulling you into a hug.

"Can you let me go Mistuya? I just wanna go home." 

"Let someone go with you. Its dark out and you shouldn't walk home alone." Mistuya had a point but you really just wanted to be alone.

You shook your head no before walking away from everyone. No one knew what to do. Some wanted to go after you and some thought it would be best for you to be alone. You still had Baji's bracelet clutched in your hand and in the end you made your way home alone. You went inside and grabbed a bag and filled it with Baji's things that were at your house.

The bag was filled with a blanket he gave you, and the large amount of stuffed animals he's either won or brought you. There were a few pictures that you had of him and yourself and you threw those away separately. You packed his sweatshirts you stole from him into a backpack. You wanted to throw them out but they technically were still Baji's and you didn't want to make him upset. You threw the backpack over your shoulders and left your house heading to Baji's to return the clothes.

You got on your bicycle and made your way to his home. Once there you slowly walked up to his door and knocked on it. You waited a few minutes and you heard the door unlock.

"I thought I told you to-"

"I'm just giving your clothes back." You said dropping the backpack on the ground before turning to leave.

"Thats it?" Baji said making you turn around confused.

"Huh?"

"Thats it? You're just gonna drop off a backpack of my clothes and leave?" You stood there puzzled.

What else did Baji want? Was he really making a fuss about the blanket and stuffed animals you kept?

"Um, I can drop the rest of the things off tomorrow if you're really that upset about them. Its just the blanket, and the stuffed animals though." You explained.

"I'm not talking about those things, you can keep them. I'm talking about you literally came here, dropped off my clothes, and now you're leaving. You don't wanna stay and talk or anything? You didn't even say goodbye before you walked away." This really confused you.

"Didn't you tell me like a half hour, forty-five minutes ago that we're over? Why would I stay and talk? You don't want me in your life anymore so thats all I was coming to do."

"Oh yeah. Um well I guess I'll see you around (Y/N)." Baji spoke picking up the backpack.

"I really doubt it. Goodbye Keisuke."

A few days had passed since Baji leaving Toman, and your breakup. Even if it was a few days Baji changed a lot. Apparently his old friend Kazutora was out of jail, and Baji had beaten Chifuyu unconscious as part of his initiation to Valhalla. Kazutora had also taken Takemichi to Baji's initiation for some reason and after that Chifuyu and Takemichi have gotten quite close. Chifuyu called you and told you to meet him and Takemichi because they were gonna confront Baji before the big fight tomorrow.

The three of you walked up and saw Baji leaning against a railing. Baji picked his head up and looked at the three of you. His eyesight lingered on you for a bit before looking at Chifuyu.

"Chifuyu, do you want to get your ass beat again?"

"Were you able to get any information on Kisaki?" Baji's face contorted in confusion and anger. "You're acting as a spy for Toman, right?"

Baji turned and leaned against the railing again.

"Chifuyu, don't trust anyone who isn't your friend. I'm with Valhalla now and tomorrow we're crushing Toman."

"Chifuyu, (Y/N) do you mind if  I speak to Baji-kun alone for a sec?" Takemichi asked causing you and Chifuyu to turn around and look at him.

You and Chifuyu decided to walk away from Takemichi and Baji. You watched them talk from afar wondering what in the world Takemichi could be talking to him about.

"What do you think they're talking about?" You asked Chifuyu.

"Not sure, Takemichi technically has no ties to Baji-san so I can't think of any reason he would need to talk to him." Chifuyu spoke as the both of you leaned on the railing watching Takemichi and Baji.

You assumed they finished because Baji started walking away and Takemichi started walking back to you guys. You turned to look back at Baji before splitting from Chifuyu and Takemichi and running back to Baji.

"I'll catch up with you guys later." 

"But (Y/N) anddddd she's gone." Takemichi said before leaving with Chifuyu.

You ran up trying to catch up with Baji.

"Baji-san! BAJI-SAN WAIT!" You yelled gaining his attention.

"Since when did you call me Baji-san?" Baji asked turning around. "I was always just Baji to you or-"

"Are you really gonna fight Toman?" You asked cutting him off.

"Of course I am. I'll repeat what I said earlier, Valhalla is crushing Toman tomorrow." Baji spoke.

Your heart seemed to break even more if that was possible. You truly loved Baji but seeing him turn his back on his friends and everyone that cared about him hurt. You tried your best to keep your tears at bay but once you blinked they continuously ran down your face. You took a few deeps breaths to calm down and nodded your head at Baji telling him you understood. Baji grabbed your wrist and pulled you into a hug.

"Please (Y/N), just please don't show up at the fight tomorrow." Baji said hugging you. 

"Why not? I would always show up to whatever was going on."

"It would just be better if you went and hung out with your friends, okay? I really don't think you should go. You always listened to me so just one more time I'm asking you to listen, please for me, don't show up." Baji pleaded.

"Okay." You nodded against Baji's chest.

Baji gave you a quick kiss on your head before letting you go and walking away. You stood there for a moment before texting Chifuyu telling him that you were just gonna head home. You then spent the rest of your day wondering why Baji wanted you to stay home instead of watching everyone fight. Chifuyu continued to text you throughout the day and into the night talking about the fight tomorrow. You didn't bother telling him Baji told you not to go because you still planned on going anyway, Baji wasn't going to stop you.

The next day rolled around and you got ready immediately choosing to go with a plain outfit to try and blend in with everyone else that would be viewing the fight. You threw your hair up and but a hat on and left your home. You walked to the junkyard and saw people were already waiting for the gangs to show up. You slipped in and stood towards the back trying to hide from everyone. You heard the gates open and soon the fight started.

You tried to find Baji but shockingly it was hard to do. Your eyes scanned the yard only to find Chifuyu and Takemichi, who was beaten pretty badly, well everyone was beaten badly. Mikey, Draken, the twins, everyone. Baji had hit Kisaki with a pipe and then was thrown to the ground by another Toman member. Chifuyu and Takemichi ran over to Baji.

You couldn't tell what was being said but Baji ended with punching Chifuyu. Every fiber of your being wanted to run out and stop Baji but you knew that would end badly for you. The fighting continued and you saw Takemichi clinging to Baji and then you watched as Kazutora stabbed Baji. Baji basically played it off like it was just a scratch but you knew something was wrong. You felt a tap on your shoulder and saw Chifuyu.

"You really showed up?" Chifuyu asked trying not to make it obvious he was talking to someone.

"Of course. Why wouldn't I?" You responded, keeping an eye on Baji.

"Why are you hiding then?" 

"Baji told me he didn't want me to show up. I don't know why but he was basically pleading with me to stay home or go out with friends, technically I'm with friends so... yeah."

You returned your eyes to the fight and was shocked at what you were looking at. Kazutora was on the ground with Mikey, and Baji was standing above him. Baji pulled out his pocket knife as he stared down at Kazutora. You saw him speaking but couldn't make out his words before you saw him plunge his knife into the lower abdomen. Your eyes widened before you ran out to him.

"BAJI!!!!" You pushed pass Chifuyu and ran over to him.

You could tell from the look on his face he really didn't expect you to be here.

"Baji why? WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?!" You screamed as you pulled him into your lap. "What in the world were you thinking?" You asked trying to check his wound.

"No no (Y/N), don't look at that." Baji spoke as he grabbed your hands. 

His grip was already weak, and quickly getting weaker.

"Pah-chin, Mistuya, Draken, Mikey, and Kazutora, they are my treasures. I wanted to figure out something on my own. But I guess I couldn't." Baji spoke to Takemichi.

"Chifuyu, I could really go for some Peyang yakisoba right now. We'll split it?" Baji said to Chifuyu.

"Chifuyu, please call 911. Please!" You begged as you held Baji.

People panicked to pull out their phones to call.

"(Y/N), I'm so sorry, this is why I wanted you to stay home." Baji coughed.

"No shh, you'll be fine. The ambulance is gonna come and I'll go with you to the hospital, okay?They're gonna help you, and then I'm gonna sit with you in the hospital, and you'll be fine. You're gonna be fine Baji. You have too. You can't leave us Baji, we need you. I need you. I love you." You cried.

"I didn't want my last sight of you to be you crying (Y/N)." He chuckled weakly. "I love you too, I'll always love you. Can I ask you a favor?" Baji spoke slowly.

"Of course. What is it?"

"Can I just have one last kiss? Please?"

You cried harder as you leaned down and placed your lips on Baji's. You could taste the metallic taste from the blood but you didn't care. You held Baji as close to you as you could. Baji weakly reached his hand up to cup the side of your face.

"You can move on after me. I'll be okay." Baji smiled. "I want you to be happy with whomever you find, I love you (Y/N)." Baji's hand slowly slid down and laid across his stomach.

"Baji? Baji??" You knew he was gone but a part of you was waiting for him to respond. "Baji, please. You gotta wake up love, the ambulance is almost here." You cried as you softly shook him.

You could hear the sirens in the distance but it was too late. You pulled Baji's body into yours as you cried into the crook of his neck. You felt a pair of arms on your shoulders trying to pull you away.

"Come on (Y/N) we gotta go. You gotta let him go." It was Mitsuya.

"No. The ambulance is almost here, he's gonna be fine. He's just tired is all." You cried.

"He's gone (Y/N). Come on." Mistuya tried to pull you off him but it wasn't working.

It took Chifuyu, Takemichi, and Mistuya to separate you from Baji's body. Everyone but Kazutora fled the scene, him choosing to stay behind and take the fall for Baji's death. After Baji's burial it became a weekly thing for you and Chifuyu to bring some Yakisoba and leave half the container for him on his grave. You visited him everyday whenever you could, usually after school to tell him about your day. Today being no different.

"I got an A on that essay I told you about last week, remember? You'd be so proud of me."

"He is proud of you (Y/N). He would always brag to me about how smart you are." Chifuyu said standing next to you. "I just wanted to stop by, you can stay."

"Oh no. Its time for me to go home anyway, he always wanted me home by now because the 'crazies' start coming out." You chuckled. "See you around 'Fuyu. Goodbye Baji, I'll see you tomorrow." You smiled kissing your hand and putting it on his grave.

Baji's death was something you never fully got over. Even now into your later years, you never dated anyone after him simply because you couldn't bring yourself to love anyone but him. You visited his grave everyday, only missing days if you were extremely sick and couldn't leave the bed. You currently were laying in your hospital bed. You had gotten sick a while back and never fully recovered.

You couldn't say you were scared because you knew who would be waiting for you once you passed. You felt your own body grow cold before you could see him standing there, his fang sticking out of his mouth. You smiled as you ran over to him and gave him a hug.

"I've been waiting for you (Y/N)." Baji smiled. "You sure you're ready to go?"

"Yeah. I've waited a lifetime to see you again, I'm going happily." You smiled at him as he kissed your forehead.

Sorry for not uploading for a while. I had some personal issues that needed to be handled first but now I'm back! <3
