Forty Three

Jungkook sighed softly as he stepped out of the shower and wrapped a fluffy towel around his waist. The cold air outside of the bathtub and shower curtain nipped at his skin, but he held back a chain of shivers and teeth chatters. He felt utterly refreshed as cold beads of water stuck to his now relaxed form. The moment the man stepped into the shower and turned on the water, he immediately felt the tension in his muscles melt away, and the salty sweat be expelled down the drain.

The man stepped out onto the memory foam bath mat laid onto the floor, and scooted towards the bathroom mirror. Much to his dismay, the surface was covered in a thick layer of condensation. He reached towards the mirror, and wiped a wide strip of the steam away. He was expecting to me how sleep deprived he was, but he wasn't expecting to see massive eyebags on his face. While he was alone in the training room during the day, he avoided taking a peek at the mirrors lining the walls of the training room. Jungkook refused to let the sight of himself- whether it be energized or exhausted- stop him from taming the monster inside of him.

However, now that he's seen the massive eye bags pulling down on his cheeks, in Hindsight, he should have taken a break. Jungkook understood why Ha-Na was so worried about him- perhaps he is pushing himself too hard. However, Jungkook needed  to do this, it wasn't just for himself, it was for Ha-Na, his brothers and their soulmates. More than anything, he never wants to hurt Ha-Na again; he's already done so twice, there was no way he was going to let it happen a third time.

Once Jungkook had killed the monster inside of him, both he and Ha-Na can live a life of peace. A life where they could live in that house and raise a family without worrying about anyone hunting them down. Jungkook smiled at the thought of mini versions of him and Ha-Na running around the house. Even as he was growing up, he dreamed of such a future, and it was even better now that he had Ha-Na in his life.

After drying off and throwing a pair of shorts of, Jungkook walked back into his dimly lit bedroom. All that was providing light was a single bedside lamp, but it was bright enough to see Ha-Na fast asleep on the bed. Jungkook smiled as he watched Ha-Na snuggle into her pink bunny. His heart grew soft as she curled into a small ball and quietly mumbled his name.

Jungkook hurried over to the bed after shutting off the lamp, the room being swallowed by darkness. He slid into the bed behind Ha-Na and immediately wrapped his arms around her small form. Ever so gently, he pulled her back into his bare chest and earned a soft moan from her. Jungkook smiled widely and buried his face into the crook of her neck.
"Goodnight Ha-Na~" he cooed while pecking her jaw.

Morning came upon the house, and Jungkook was the first to wake up. He found him in the same position as last night, his arms hooked around Ha-Na's waist, and his head resting on top of her's. Looking to the corner of his eyes, he saw that Ha-Na was still sleeping peacefully, her hair covering her face and lips parted. Jungkook couldn't wait any longer for her to wake up, but he had no choice but to be patient.

Jungkook moved his arms to her torso and shoulders, wrapping his arms tightly around her. He gently kissed her temple, hoping that that was enough to wake her up. The man smiled as she moved slightly against him, and turned her face to snuggle into his bicep.

"Good morning beautiful," Jungkook cooed.

Ha-Na smiled lazily and melted into Jungkook's warmth. While she was away from Jungkook, it was so incredibly difficult to fall asleep. Her bed felt unbearably empty and cold, despite what he did, she missed him. Now that Jungkook was cuddling her so close to his chest, she felt at peace.

"I don't want to get up," she quietly giggled.
Jungkook smiled into her shoulder- "Neither do I. What do you say to a little down time?"
Ha-Na chuckled softly as she already felt him kissing her neck.
"That would be nice," she hummed.

Jungkook continued to pressing his lips against each and every inch of her neck. He smirked against her skin before biting the hem of her shirt and tugging it down. Before Ha-Na could react, he left a bright red hickey just above her left shoulder blade. While he was laying kiss after kiss against her upper back and neck, his hands wandered up her shirt. Ha-Na shivered under his touch as Jungkook's fingers krept up her sides.

Jungkook was only an inch away from touching her bra, when they were interrupted by a loud pounding on their door.
"Jungkook! Ha-Na!" Yoongi yelled. "Time for breakfast!"
Ha-Na's soulmate groaned in frustration and annoyance.
"Why do they always interrupt?" he sighed, kissing the nape of her neck. "Every single time..."
Ha-Na chuckled softly, turning her head to peck his nose.

"Eventually Kook. We'll get there eventually."
